    Really great format and visualisation. Would like to see more videos like this where you simplify with icons to explain tactics and general strategy. Watching this made me realize just how much better the tacmap would be with detailed unit icons rather than the generalized icons we have now.

      That’s cool to hear Sedgehammer, as I have been thinking about different formats and visualizations for these strategic style videos. I love the icons as well, will be interesting to see how Relic ultimately polish is the mini map and tactical map. They both are still a rough draft.

    As a new player to COH3 and RTS as a whole, this video is exactly for me. Keep making videos that answer the most basic questions. Love this!

      So awesome Esteban. Welcome to the RTS community and the Sarge squad. Really happy these video guides are helping you gain entry into the RTS genre and specifically CoH3. These games are very challenging but also one of the most rewarding experience in gaming. Keep up the practice and enjoy the process. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I hope the content continues to help you!

      Same! I've been constantly following SargeGG's content over the past few weeks. Really helps that he uses USF a lot as well. lol

      @@dafaq7561 Oh that’s too funny, I do really enjoy the USF haha, such a great faction. What’s your favorite battlegroup or US style to play?

    • @dafaq7561
      @dafaq7561 Před rokem +1

      @@SargeGG So far I've been enjoying Pathfinders. It's challenging micro for a new RTS player, but I feel like it offers flexibility being able to drop solid infantry and AT from the tech tree. How bout you?

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Před rokem +1

      @@dafaq7561 Very interesting, that’s definitely a more technical playstyle for a newer player but also a very dynamic way to play! And like you said, you can use that battlegroup to supplement your army with needed AT or infantry, while you quickly tech up to a higher tier.
      I’ve been enjoying airborne with the infantry support center for that big momentum swing in the mid game. Although it does have some weaknesses in the late game.

    Excellent video, subbed subbed subbed.
    In most RTS games with non standard starts like you outlined tend to trend back towards a standard midgame, so players shouldn't feel so uncomfortable (generally) with just letting the opponent take top if it means you get bottom and an opportunity later on etc etc.

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Před rokem +2

      Hey Makofueled, thanks so much for the support! That is exactly right and it is my hope that players become more comfortable in these scenarios of circumvention rather than one dimensional engagements. CoH, and many other RTS games as you know, do not clearly teach these principles and they are not apparently obvious for new players. I hope we get some sort of Boot Camp or Art of War training mode in the future. I think that would be awesome!

    okay first example is 80 % true but other % is about rng heath ability's etc. micro both of yours and enemy and unit build order is never always same because there is spam strategy's but power spikes are similar always so ... yeah good explanation for new people tho and getting into coh 3 and coh franchice sense they are similar in terms of gameplay and speed
    okay second example explains it ... good example men keep up with good work
    this is kinda pointless comment expect that i as good player can confirm this kinda thinking does happen and only diffrence is from noob player and good player is about knowing how many build orders enemy can do and meta withing that game mode 1vs1 2vs2 3vs3 4vs4 and map even so yeah good video and for new people this video is helpfull and of crouse there other smaller but important thing like micro keeping up with enemy micro build and map control but those are for more exprience players who learn about it and improve on with time
    sorry for bad english i just wanted to leave comment to confirm this is good video about explaining how games can be and how to pass at noob level into decent player gap
    knowledge is only half of battle to win after all

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Před rokem +1

      Hey Dragon, I appreciate your feedback and you’re exactly right, this was intended for new players to RTS and CoH3. I was trying to introduce fundamental concepts through potential early game scenarios.
      But what you say is true, especially against a formidable opponent, there are many more factors such as build orders, micro, counter play.
      My hope is that this early game theory will at least give new players a starting point and more perspective on how to approach their opponents.

    Again love the content, keep it coming! Quick thought is it possible for you to give us similar breakdowns but on more detailed version of the map. This is great just to help us realize there are different options not just the traditional head on engagements. 🫡
