Actually, he is still the villains, just not a mediocre generic one. The fact that villains like these are right on a lot of things and make you think they are the heroes, are what makes them such great villains. I bet you anything, that if Plageus was put in the movies, he would be very much that type, and not some typical generic power hungry crackpot like Sidious.

We call heroes hero because we think they are doing something to rescue people, world etc. Whats the difference ? He tried to save the world by showing them how the others are suffered. He thought there couldnt be any peace without sacrifices. Just like Madara. They are heroes of their vision. And characters we call hero are the heroes from our point of view. Damn I love this series. Philosophy under all these characters is insane.

What I love about this is:
    He is right.
And how he dealt with conflict and vengeance, is how we deal with it in ours. There’s no sugar coating it, no greater truth.
Naruto’s way of dealing with conflict is the grandest of dreams, the greatest lie. There is no way for Naruto’s dream to come about except with a conflict to spark the flames
This is because - there’s always that one party, that one person; who will start a conflict anyway
The Kage came together as means to prevent another Great Ninja War, several Kage using jutsu during the conference to push that narrative (The Leaf Kage) - Madara (the masked man) destroyed that peace
Naruto even took part in the war - yes his jutsu was used in opposition and to push for peace - but it is still in direct accordance of Nagato’s narrative.
Who knows how many still died after his fight with Pain, Madara, and Sauske - cause even the best medical ninja can not heal a body torn to sundar, limbs blown to bits, heads decapitated, and bodies obliterated leaving no body for the soul to return to

While phosopher villains are compelling; allowing us to see the outcome of the 'other path', they always prove to be what we all know them to be but do not want to admit...the childish lashings out of a hurt soul. Something we all can relate to, so we gravitate towards their example; we must accept that though their passions may be moving, they are not correct solely for the sake of their passion. Too many take the side of the passionate villain for this exact reason, dispensing with morals and reasonable argument, allowing emotion(usually percieved righteous fury) to fully take control. While it is a compelling story, for an audience. to truly adhere to this mindset would be utterly heartbreaking.

@@fuckel98 Well that’s the thing, he is right, or at least enough to be worth considering. If we come to call vengeance justice then we only cause more vengeance, and we can justify that excess violence to ourselves by calling it justice. What Pain is really doing is sort of becoming the ultimate scapegoat on purpose. So that if everyone hates the Akatsuki they might be able to come together and forge a peace, a temporary one (as Pain acknowledges) but peace nonetheless - a new target for everyone to seek justice against. He also talks of distributing what are functionally nuclear weapons, in order to create a scenario where war and other conflict becomes untenable. Or well, this is kind of what he talks about but it’s kinda retconned in some respects later. I wouldn’t call it childish, but definitely a negative world view. Nonetheless he is pursuing what he thinks is a better world. Naruto needed this kind of challenge to his ideology in order to mature, he needed to realize that he was participating in the cycle of hatred himself. And he does.

"We break the cycle of hatred and vengeance and help each other's lands" isn't too bad of an idea, but this cycle is a great wheel of generational bloodshed, hate, greed, and a selfish nature that will take centuries to undo. I don't think that evil and bad bring purpose, I think that they bring change. But then again, so do things of a positive nature. Usually though, it's the one man's greed or covetous nature of what his neighbor has and his want to possess it rather than ask to have one of his own.

In no way would the ceasing of reproduction stop the cycles currently spinning. People will always find a way to add their fuel to an already roaring fire. I would think that real justice is holding those who are shitty, terrible people accountable. No matter if they are a government official. You shouldn't escape the proper form of justice because you're well known and have the money! Real justice is people being given basic human rights, being treated like we matter, and less like the slaves that most government officials see their people as.

I can't stop laughing when series such as Naruto and Boruto are still considered in high regards!.
Pain, Madara etc are Asscheeks in comparison to masterpieces like Aizen, Blackbeard, Akainu, Doflamingo, Grimmjow, Johnathan Gilbert, Joker, Eren, Black Clover,SAO villains etc!.
They can never equal Bleach even in their dream!.
The series was a 2/10 for me. The highest part was Zabuza arc which was around 4/10!. And the quality dropped further after zabuza arc!.
Bad storytelling, no exciting moments, very simple, easily predictable movesets all ruined the series further. Chunnin exams was the start of degradation of series quality with too much predictability!.
And still people are talking of this series?
Anybody who has Naruto/Boruto in top 100 mangas and anime must be having a very low bar!.
I personally would rate both of them as Asscheeks!.
It doesnt even deserve a manga sales in 100s!.
One piece will never dip to the level of Naruto!.
One piece in iits lowest point is 7 millions!
While Naruto even in its highest point can't dream of 5 million!.
Bleach is the GOAT among the big 3!.
