Man how cool it was when the Cartoon Network characters were announcing now and then show
I wish Ed from Ed Edd n Eddy did announcing
Billy announcing Code Lyoko...
@@JamesHetfieldRules Hello I Am Ed. Now it's Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Then it's The Cartoon Cartoon Show. (Laughs). This is Cartoon Network
We can go back in time and save them and make them remain for good without having to be gone

God.....the late night ones are just SOOOOOOO goddamn chill. It's literally the embodiedment of middle school late summer nights.
Whoever thought of having Cartoon Network characters announcing the shows, THANK YOU.
Wish that would’ve happened more often during the CN City era.
Anyone else get depressed watching this just thinking bout how good we had it back then?
This reminds me of how i was at peace in my childhood.
I was. And I want to go back in time and save it
Here
The Now/Then bumpers in this era were vastly different to those featured in the Powerhouse era. The plain blue and purple backgrounds of that era were replaced with CGI sets of locations in the city. White discs showed characters from the show that was on now, next (rarely), then, and (rarely) later. The music in these bumpers was jazz and techno-oriented, cycling between daytime and nighttime. The announcer for these bumps was Nicole Vicius, an then-27-year-old actress from California. In late 2005, Vicius was replaced as announcer in the evening Now/Then bumpers by CN characters, such as Billy, Bloo, Raj, Monroe, Ami and Numbuh 1.
I’m gonna go back in time and save these things and try to tell Cartoon Network Animation Studios to have Cartoon Network City and all its old things up and running for the next few years without having to be gone
Where’s Raj?
These truly were the best days
It's 5/13/24 1:07 a.m. I'm literally sitting here drinking & thinking how much i miss this era. it burns my chest knowing we'll never get this on live television ever again so it brings me a warm / hurting feeling watching this reminding me of my childhood. I.M.Y. 2000s smh
Miss this! CN used to be the shit!
Gosh this era felt like adult swim
1:39 Proof that Cartoon Network has been showing live-action movies longer than you think.
I was expecting "Movie Madness" or "Flicks" to replace Cartoon Theatre since the city era onwards showed interest in live-action content.
My favorite detail with this era was the bumpers matched the time of the day. Bumpers such as 1:42 would only show between morning and late afternoons, while 3:58 would show in the evening. Not sure how I remember that after all these years.
Yeah, makes it feel like an actual place!
"Now, it's Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Then, it's Ed, Edd n Eddy. This is Cartoon Network."
Man this was my favorite era of CN
Does anyone else wish tv executives would bring variety & flavor back to tv again like this? Seriously in 20 years most creativity as far as TV has disappeared across the networks. The programming schedules are PATHETIC! But look at the different line ups here in the city era, so so much variety!
My thoughts exactly. Over the years CN lost not only it's variety, but also it's runtime. They have very few shows that they run in mini marathons, before switching to Adult Swim so early. If anything Checkered Past block on Adult Swim is our means of seeing some old classic shows like Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Billy and Mandy, but there's only so much they pick to air.
3:58 I’ve never seen this one before wow
Man, i wish the city era kept until early 2011
The City Era lasted until August 6 of 2010 in Latin America.
Same. Would've been cool to see characters from the late 2000's in there, especially Chowder and Total Drama.
I want to go back in time and save all of Cartoon Network City and make all its shows and commercials remain for good along with the upcoming shows
The first one was EXACTLY what i was looking for. Mann i thought this was Miguzi's "now, then, later" for some reason
OBS: in CN LA/BR, some of the backgrounds used in "Now/Then" in the US were not used in their Bumpers in Latin America, so much so that they opted for other BG,s
Man I really miss these bumpers on Cartoon Network. It feels like the 2000s again!
