What is the current status of this project? I just discovered it and it looks really cool. I use KiCad on Windows however, so is there any way to try it out there?

I didn't know you can pan in kicad? The manual says they are working on doing this but I couldn't find how

Preferences -> General -> Use middle mouse button to pan.
For some reason its off by default
