      Even though all teams already figured out how to destroy us, they were not prepared.
      It's not the players' fault. This is entirely the ange's fault. The tactic of not being able to defend against the opponent's counterattack by raising the line and opening up the space behind the defense even though there is no Udoggi is a really stupid tactic

Hate to think about another change of manager. In the long run, it's not his fault, the quality is not there in the squad and as usual Levy is the problem. Not good enough recruitment, been saying it for years.

  • @cvg1198
    @cvg1198 Před 18 dny +10

    Our defense is.. but aside from that, our current offense is what most fans had asked for at the beginning of the season. People said they hated to be dependent on a couple of players for our offensive output and that we should play more in the style of "offense by committee".
    Things looked good when PL teams were still figuring us out and we had goals scored by unlikely players game in game out, but everything comes back to the mean eventually.
    We've got everyone shooting but our strikers. Just look at the service both Richie and Son received today, virtually zero. "Offense by committee" only works for teams like City that can fill their entire roster with world-class players.
    Everyone shoots and everyone scores sounds fair and balanced on paper, but there must be a good reason why all successful teams draw up their offense to feed their best scorers. If this is what Ange has in store for us for next year, then this year is likely the best year we'll get out of him.

Ange brought terrible wingers with him here in the like of Brennan Johnson, Werner…The only wingers who fit his hug the line tactic would be Mitoma, Neto, Nico William, Bakayoko…someone he should ve spent money on, not Brennan Johnson

  • @hwang8807
    @hwang8807 Před 18 dny +22

    If you look at Spurs, we have all the conditions that make success impossible.
    The board always hopes for a new manager to perform magic, and if they decide he's not a magician, they'll quickly replace him with a new one.
    And the fans are impatient and unwilling to learn from the past. Both the board and the fans typically show a lack of connection with success.
    Fundamental change requires time and sacrifice. But Spurs don't have that DNA. That's why there's no hope for this team.
    And speaking of Son as a Korean, he is like a hero to Koreans. It's like how Egyptians treat Salah.
    However, unlike past Korean team captains, his inadequate performance and lack of leadership shown in the national team often become targets of criticism.
    As far as we know, he's definitely a good person. But having a good character doesn't necessarily make you a good leader. I believe our team needs a leader with strong charisma. Like how a wolf pack wouldn't dare to challenge their leader, such animalistic strength and charisma is what the current Spurs need in a leader.
    Son has made tremendous contributions to the team over the past decade. He's truly worthy of being called a legend at Spurs. However, we need to recruit a winger or striker next summer who can compete with him and eventually replace him.

    A few players dipping in form (Madders, Biss....).
    The high line and pushing so many players forward from day one is risky. It worked to begin with, but it means that we have always been short at the back, because of the high line and because we commit so many playerd s forward. Eg. Arteta finished 8th in his first two seasons on his project but the Arsenal fans didn't self sabotage their club with toxic media. Look. The only clubs above us are City, Liverpool and Arsenal. Villa had a good season they're right with us. Those teams managers are much further into their tenures and builds. Plus it's City, Liverpool, Arsenal they're good teams. I wouldn't expect us to be above them where we are right now. But they're the only clubs above us 3 big clubs that's it. Forgetting Villa then we're there where we deserve to be right now. We're above the rest of them in a tough tough league every club is organised professional and not easy. I'm prepared to go along on the ride I'm realistic I don't expect us to be challenging the top 3 for another 2 seasons if we do them that's great, we would have done it quicker than Arsenal. Ange has done nothing to convince me to give him money to spend. We only win when we have much better players than the other team and even then we struggle, his tactics are a heavy workload on the players and this is only playing once a week. If a good coach is available, we have to consider a change imo. Ange gets the starting 11 wrong in every game and our 2nd half is always a repair job, sorry but I have seen enough. Chelsea, Man u and Newcastle will be better next season will we ?

    The desperation from fans to complain is ridiculous and half the problem at Spurs. A year ago we were an utterly broken club, which means the players were at a real low point. We then lose Harry Kane, our legend, and the guy who has carried us for years. We’ve seen enough this year to see a shift in the right direction and we have tried to attack. Ange is trying to change the culture not just win-now (which we know hasn’t worked at Spurs). There is ALOT to improve on but what did we expect after 1 season. Pep, Klopp, Arteta etc none of them had good first seasons! Ange needs time to change minds, bad habits and players. The set piece discussion is on their agenda don’t believe the dismissive remarks. Time. Patience. Calm. That’s what we need.

  • @moalia2073

    There's a level of arrogance/naivety from Ange that is befitting of his Celtic side that can dominate their league and as such there is no desire/need to adapt and pivot their tactics. This mentality in a PL full of superior and stronger teams with various playing styles is shortsighted to say the least. This has been shown by the stubborn choices in the high line, chaos ball that personified the start of the season coupled with sticking his head in the sand when it comes to set pieces. Ange ball has been found out and his pride won't let him budge from his "style", a style he came by having the freedom of a two horse league, this will be his undoing by Xmas 2024 mark my words, he will come out with coal and a P45 in his stocking.

    If he was getting these performances early in the season he'd be gone already.
    Terrible gamble. Hasn't paid off. Those early 10 games papered over cracks that were already there. We struggled to beat Sheffield united who will have conceded over 100 goals by the end of the season, we struggled to get a shot off against 9 man Liverpool. We struggled against Luton, Fulham and Palace.
    All season long we've seen players form dip. Bissouma first. Then Maddison. Then Bentancur. Then Kulu. Then Richie. Then Son. Then Porro. That many players getting worse as the season weare on says the dressing room has been lost.

    Second goal - I thought Jackson was in the offside and he continued to make the goal after the ball hit the woodwork. Was it happened in one movement?
