Fortnum and Mason is an institution! The tea looked wonderful and loved the tableware! The pastries, how were they, they looked yum. With the Dior bag on the table, it looked fabulous. You can tell how well-liked the high tea is from the sheer crowd. I would totally go to that gift shop and pic up a tea set. It looked exquisite! -- Lauren

I was there in November. Seated first at 11:30, I finished my tea before the food arrived. The service was not good. Because of the delay, I was told I would be offered something for the inconvenience and this never arrived. Furthermore, I was not offered additional tea or refills. The experience was a disappointment, given the price for High Tea (£108-no alcohol). The pastries were cloyingly sweet and the scones were a bit dry. The Welsh rarebit was cold by the time it arrived at the table. I noticed that things seemed a little past their expiration date, worn furniture and overused cutlery. This a premium service that was decidedly not premium. Better to purchase a bunch of teas because Fortnum’s teas are simply the best. Afternoon Tea at F&M leaves something to be desired. Avoid.
