Smaller tea shops also offer afternoon and high teas. Don't get ripped off by the big fancy places that charge over $100 for a few pastries, finger sandwiches and a pot of tea.

VG! In 1980 I used the little telephone box in I think the tearoom to call home amongst some elegance, peace & quiet. There was a seat inside the box! About the 4th-5th floor.

It looked an excellent afternoon tea but I think it would have been better with Salmon instead of Trout.
I strongly agree, I am definitely a salmon girl over trout xx
For a start the eggs would be the best of eggs and have lovely orange yolks, which they clearly used to make the mayonnaise too. No special sauce. The cream is not whipped it is clotted, which is baked in the oven.

F&M vs. Ritz- what's your opinion? We are heading there and trying to decide. Excellent review- thank you so much!
Hi Lauran, the Ritz is my fav out of the 2, but it's a close call, if you're looking for more economical & casual then F&M is a great choice. Let me know how your visit goes and which place you choose xx

Hi Pem I love your videos on afternoon tea! Not sure if you can answer this for me but I have allergies some fruits and I wonder can they accommodate food allergies...Strawberries are my number one issue
Yes, you let them know when booking, my friend is allergic to pineapple and they give you alternatives instead xx
