I have 05 Mercury Montego that is not blown out cold air will this particular situation prevent the compressor from engaging or clicking?

Ah...thanks for this. I have had the same issue on mine for years now...betting that it is this issue. Over 506,000 on mine...and still runs great and this is the only issue (that and the Navigation went out years ago) Original spark plugs and serpentnine belt in it. Just keeps running

But for us that doesn't have or can't afFORD the nice machine to recover the chemical, what's our options?
I have AC issue with my 2011 Flex where AC does normal come on after several blocks and when it does, it intermittently turns ON/OFF. I have the AC manifold and it shows 40psi at low and 250psi at high ( ambient is 90deg in North Cali). Also the high pressure goes up to 350psi then fan goes to high speed. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Before i had my a/c machine, i would go to a mom and pop oil change place that did ac. I would bring the car and have them vac out the system. I would go home and do what ever repairs needed and then go back for a recharge. They would only charge a bit mire than a normal recharge cost.
Dude I think this is my problem with my when it idles it blows barely cool air when I took it in they said it was blowing fine but I live in Phoenix AZ it’s been 110 all summer and that’s just way to hot for me. Mine is also an 08 Ford Escape hybrid
@BSGAutomotive - Great video, even two years later! I Replaced the valve and had a shop recharge the system but still get warm air at idle. What should I check next?
Did you ever get it figured out mines warm at idle but cools down as I drive on the freeway

How much would an average shop charge to discharge a system?
Do you need to add oil after this procedure or is the leakage not enough to worry about? If you do have to add oil how do you know how much to add? Thanks
Generally no but whoever recovers the refrigerant should add the amount of oil that came out with the refrigerant.

Because there is a trick about this valve you pull the valve out and reverse your spring. It puts it at full capacity.
