Excellent. I've gone from zero knowledge to a fundamental knowledge of the B802USB over a few hours of watching your tutorials. Very thankful. While the internet has opened a pandora's box of ills and evils, your channel is a shining example of the true usefulness of social media. Thank you!
What, no long pictures of a box or explaining the obvious. Just useful information.
Thank you.
I’m french. Your explanations are very clear. Thank you ;)
Now i need to set my karaoke set up lol
Thanks ! Super cool tutorial!
Super explanatory. Thanks for sharing sir.
Great vid king
very informative ❤
Thanks mate!!!
Thank you
Thanks for this one
No problem!
@@RecordingStudio9 when i use the fx i am getting a lot of feedback. just reverb on the fx effect. I do not increase the volume but when I increase the fx knob it starts to feedback.
Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing this information! If it want a 100% wet mix from the external FX processor and no dry mix to be sent out via the main outputs, what's the best way to achieve it with this mixer?
Much appreciated!
Not possible with this mixer. Unless the FX device has Microphone input, or the audio source is a line level, eg. keyboard or eDrums, that you can connect to it first.
Hi, I upgraded to the Xenyx Q802USB. The sound works great in Audio, However, I cannot us my mic. It populated in control panel but I cannot enable it. Can someone help.
Thanks for the video. It looks like you can't use the FX loop without also sending the dry signal to the main mix unfortunately.
Correct. FX Send by default is post-Fader. Aux Send on the other hand are by default pre-Fader. Bigger consoles will have the option to switch. Not this mixer.
Wow I have Mackey vlz 4 channel mixer I'm trying to figure out how I can hook my effects into the board it doesn't have an effect send or anything on the board why would they do that how can I use it
Can you or any help me out here:
I want to connect:
1. a Mic to mono channel 1
2. guitar to mono channel 2
3 keyboard to stereo channel
And now:
4. Connect a Looper
5. Multi effects pedal Nux Cerberus
Question:
How should I go about it so that I can use the Delay/Mod on the multi-effect pedal for all/any Keyboard/guitar/vocals..
And the multi-effect pedal for guitar effects..
And be able to loop it.
You showed it works standalone (without computer). If you would use USB connection and then playback some music from your computer, at the same time having mic in channel 1 (as you have) you could mix those two signals together and send to main output?
I would be supergrateful if you could replay.
Yes, you can and that’s the point of the USB audio.
Thanks for sharing, I just want to clarify if the fx send for q805 usb is a stereo or a mono connection?
FX or AUX send is always mono on 99% of all mixing boards. Q802USB has stereo FX return sockets and input level.
so what happens if the mixer DOES have an in-built effects processor? when you turn the FX knob on a channel, how does it know which effects to add to the mix, the internal or external ones?
Normally if a mixer includes a built-in FX, and comes with only one AUX/FX send, when you insert a plug to the Aux/FX socket, it disconnects the internal FX.
does it work with a loop pedal?
Hi i have a shure super55 vintage mic which is not a dynamic mic. Can i still use this external fx for it?
The Shure Super 55 is a dynamic mic. Using external FX has no relevence to any mic, it's for all the input channels.
It is avalable on mac driver?
what happen if i have no effects module the fx send signal i will just jumper it direct connect to stereo aux return does it create reverb
No. You need an FX unit that creates reverb from the original audio and adds to the original audio, just like in the video.
Here is a tutorial video that may help you. czcams.com/video/lj-03mB7hJ0/video.html
Is it possible to pan/balance left and right with the effect engaged? Like if a put the pan knob all the to the right, will i hear the effect on the left side? Hopjng I am clear !
The FX send of each channel is mono and pre-Pan, so turning the channel Pan left or right will have no effect to the signal sent to FX Output.
FX Return is also stereo. If your FX gear has output balance, you can use that to Pan left or right. If not, just unplug the cable from the FX gear end, leaving the cable plugged on the mixer, will return the audio just Left or just Right.
Hope this helps.
@@RecordingStudio9 thanks a lot !
I was wondering if I could get a link to the yellow, red & blue cables please??
They are standard TRS leads.
How do you resolve the phasing issues when feeding the signal back into the mixer and blending it with the original?
If the FX device connected creates phase shift, then not much you can do. There are phase correcting units but probably cost more than the mixer ifself.
But most reverb and echo FX modules don't have phase conversions.
@@RecordingStudio9 I know my HoF has a kill-dry switch, but with other pedals is there a way to patch in the mixed wet signal without the dry mixing with it out of phase?
No, the FX out is in parallel mode. To have it in series, the FX unit needs to be before the channel input. This video might help you remember czcams.com/video/lj-03mB7hJ0/video.html
@@RecordingStudio9 thanks!
HI,
Are the connection cables stereo or mono?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Mono send, stereo or mono return.
The xexyx 1002 has a send but it doesn't have this stereo aux return. Will it still work to connect a guitar fx pedal? Maybe through one of the channels? Does somebody know?
You can use any of the line level inputs as the Aux return. Just make sure that return channel's FX send is at min at all times.
What about the impedance levels? The fx send is instrument level? Can I conect instrument level on line level?
FX out is LINE level signal. Most FX devices accept line level, unless you are using guitar pedals.
as external effect could be use a pedal looper? thanks
Possibly, but I don’t have any looper to test if it creates infinite audio feedback.
is the fx600 suitable for echoing sounds like used in asmr?
No clue, guess you just have to try it out.
First of all, thank you very much for the nice video. I have two mixers. behringer xenyx 802 usb and behringer Q1202 usb.
I would like to ask two questions if possible. My first question is, is an effect pedal connected to both?
My other question is, for example, let's say we used the reverb effect in the effects pedal. If there is fx on the microphone channel and the piano channel, will there be a reverb effect on both channels? I mean, no matter what effect it is, will it have an effect on every channel using fx?
I hope my questions are clear. and I hope you will reply.
Thanks for everything.
How about a looper? With a guitar?
Plug the guitar into the Looper and plug the Looper's output into the Mixer TRS input. Done.
Where is the connection of speaker
The main output sockets into a powered speakers or power amp.
@@RecordingStudio9 yes i know but the demo you used mic but no speaker connected in a mixer
"I have the yellow cable..." what kinda cable is that? Stereo? Mono? Who cares about the color?
Because this does not work for me, I cannot get the stereo effect, I can get mono but when trying too get stereo effect it only effects left or right speaker, but never both
I use colours as the type of cables is dependent on the FX unit used. And if you continue listening, I mention this already.
I can’t solve your problem without any further details of your gear.
is it possible to by pass the internal effects of the mixer? I have a QX1002USB.
The user manual (mediadl.musictribe.com/media/sys_master/h8e/hf1/8849830543390.pdf) does not mention if internal FX is disconnected. Some mixers disable the internal FX when a jack plug is inserted to the FX output socket.
