- Eliot Fisk meets a legendary Hermann Hauser Sr. 1937 (Segovia) for the first time in his life. He played 15 minutes without a break. This video is a document of a rare and beautiful moment, it does not represent a perfect production, but rather an authentic moment captured with an iPhone.

What a marvelous moment. Anytime Mr. Fisk plays Bach is a gift to the world. And I feel like I'm a fly on the wall getting to watch him dream with the music. Thank you so much for recording it.
Elliot brings out the beauty of the guitar and the pathos of the Chaconne marvelously, even when he makes mistakes. Bravo
I’m always amazed by classical players of this quality. It’s impossible to understate their skill.
Great video! Such a legendary maker, & impassioned playing here. Love to hear the precious guitar get pushed.
I really like his no holds barred approach to classical guitar. He is probably a little bit rougher and readier in execution than most virtuosi, but for me, all the more exciting and enlivening for it. There are moments of great beauty.
His playing engages me.
I am practicing this piece now...what a play , full of emotion, bravo maestro Fisk!🎉
Beautiful!
Gracias!
Bravo!
Riveting !! Thank you Eliot for allowing these moments to be recorded. Superb !
Beautiful capture, thanks for sharing!!
Superb! With all the mistakes, the moans, the sighs, the flesh and the blood. The life!!
I met Elliot when he played in Bristol, UK in the early eighties. I remember he has really big fingers, like Segovia. Great that they haven’t slowed him down! Lovely to see this. Many thanks from New Zealand.
Breathtaking!
Amazing, i am impress by Bach ability to keep this beautifull musical dialogue going on for almost 15min, looks like he could keep it going for ever
Really vivid Chaconne out of the blue!
Mille Bravos ❤
Une petite merveille !
❤
The man is BOLD.
👏👏👏👏
What a combination - a master musician with an instrument built by a master. I'll have to become more familiar with Eliot's playing..I'm embarrassed to admit.!!❤
It sounds like my guitar, made by Georg Bolin of Sweden in 1953.
How is it possible to produce such a shrill and strident tone on such great instrument? Could Bach possibly be yanked and torn to smithereens any more successfully than it is here?
Sounds like a little bit of envy happening here.
Because despite clear virtuosity, Mr Fisk can be a bit of, uhm, an acquired taste
Fisk remains the worst "name" guitarist out there. Awful from almost every angle.
@@TokyoShizu That is nonsense. It is hard as hell to remember what he is playing, first of all, and in this vid. his guitar is not supported, but overall he did a fine job. Let us see you do better, and then talk.
Heavy metal Chaconne!
I think his recording gear is not the best. It doesn't sounds like traditional guitar, but a bit like cheaper DT.
Sorry John, but this rare and spontaneous moment was captured on an iPhone 15, not really the best way of recording. There are some special musical moments in these 15 minutes that sound very beautiful. Many people are also excited and grateful for this contribution. We are also looking forward to a professional video production with this amazing guitar.
@@wildnerrecordsguitar sounds great. Thanks for capturing this moment I really enjoyed it.
Amazing! I think that Mr. Fisk use Augustine strings on his guitars...
@@norbertogustavoblanco1700 What make you think that?
@@norbertogustavoblanco1700 Eliot usually plays Augustine, on this 1937 Hauser are Hannabach Exclusive Medium Tension.
I dont like it.
