Daniel Pentecost I learned from a chef at Penn State to make the sauce a little loose and after the lasagne was made cover and seal the pan with Saran Wrap and foil. The Saran kept the steam in and at the end take off the Saran and foil together to let the cheese brown. The very best lasagne and serve extra sauce on the side.

If people don't know what "wash your hands" means, they don't belong in any kitchen. That's what they do in the Food Channel because people who watch some of their shows (Sandra Lee for instance) are generally morons. It's insulting to imply that a grown person doesn't know how to wash their own damn hands.

Why are there no grocery store brand products in any of these grocery store challenges?

I don't care about grainy, you have to use Ricotta. Also, nutmeg is necessary for the Ricotta.

I love americas test kitchen but they lost me at the cottage cheese. My nonna would roll her eyes at this as do I. Very Americano.

Sorry, just say NO to cottage cheese. Italian-American lasagna must be made with ricotta. Some things are just not negotiable!

I’d look like Christy ate another Christy if I worked at ATK. I don’t know how anyone stays remotely trim working there. I hate bechamel based lasagnas btw.

You lost me at the cottage cheese. In Italy, this would be an abomination...Also in my house!

don't knock it until you try it. It's much more economical than Ricotta - I actually prefer it. Cottage Cheese is the vehicle for all the flavors. It also cooks down and is very creamy.
