What a refreshing break from Disney. Please visit and document other random “ordinary” attractions, please!
👍 What other places do you suggest?
ANYTHING animal related! Zoos, aquariums, would LOVE to see a San Diego safari park tour - I know kitra loves animals as much as I do 💕🐾 have loved seeing the little bit of animal on content in aulani and Disney world videos.
@@OrdinaryAdventures Other socal food festivals and attractions that are more affordable than theme parks but just as fun! :) Dog friendly places too please!
National Parks, Alcatraz, Zoos, Aquariums, Hollywood sign, National Monuments, Piers, Boardwalks, Museums. We all love you guys and your content. The camera and editing skills are some of the best on CZcams. I think it’s safe to say we’re all ready for you guys to take your skills and branch out to a straight up travel show.
Some great ideas. Unfortunately as of right now we are not allowed to film in national parks
I do be glad you had a wonderful time at our Faire, but I shall keep my eyes peeled should you return lest you try to steal my cabbages again!
😂🥬
The box turtles are SOOO CUUUUTE! They look well taken care of
🐢
They were sooooo cute lol
Huzzah! This was so exciting to watch. I remember a little while back in a Patreon livestream I asked if you guys would do another Ren Faire video (‘cause I love your 2019 video so much!) and here it is!!! This was so much fun to watch and has me excited for Ren Faire season here in PA. Thanks Peter & Kitra!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Omg looks fun but very expensive too 😊
I absolutely love the Ren Faire, I started dressing up a couple years ago and its so much fun. My favorite show at our local faire is definitely the washing wenches, they are a hoot.
😂
Moonie and Broon are the best performers at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire! We watch them every year.
🎭🙌
I second this! Their last show of the day is the hands down FUNNIEST show to see.
Broon comes up to WA Midsummer Faire. Wish Moonie would!
@@Fairest1 agreed! Their combined show is so freaking funny. They are such sweethearts of human beings too.
Moonie is so much fun! i see him every year at the bristol renaissance faire in wisconsin
It’s our family’s Faire. We were looking forward to the first weekend (which got canceled because of flooding) so sad. This video helped. You did show our booth that my sister manages, Puzzle Rings. Thank U so much!!!
I looked at the puzzle rings, such a cool idea.
@@OrdinaryAdventures they’re fun to solve. We used to fight over who got to put together the ones that people would bring from Egypt.
Husband and I went to the faire yesterday. It was very, very busy. There have been a lot of changes since Covid, but it's still a lot of fun.
Glad you had fun
Yes!!!! I love ren faires! My town hosts the Canterbury Faire each year and it's always a great time, the jousting is a can't-miss. Glad to see you both had fun! ^V^
So cool!
I've been going to the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire since I was a kid, and it's always so much fun. I actually started working it in 2019, and this is my third season. I work the counter at the poke booth. The Faire is stupidly expensive at times, but it's an awesome experience. There's so much to do and see and encounter. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there for opening weekend.
So fun!
I feel like a Renaissance Festival would always be better in California since there's all the actors that need work and can fully commit...like cabbage guy, what a legend. For some reason I couldn't stop laughing when Peter mentioned the game had real "table presence," there was a vlog or something recently when everyone gave him such a hard time for using that phrase ;)
Hahaha
As the cabbage guy I say, thank you very much! ^_^
Your step mom is a real one for those home made costumes
❤️
Was happy to have had bumped into you guys! It was a blast!
Such a fun day!
I was happy to meet you guys :). Thank you so much you guys. Hopefully we get to see each other again. #bestdayever!
Our pleasure!
Went to my very first Ren Faire in 1987. Met my future husband that day. That was when the faire was in Agoura Hills north of Los Angeles. Fun times! Dressing up is worth it!
❤️ what a lovely story!
LOVE The Renaissance Faire!! 💜💜💜 My hubby once got lost looking for the privy and asking for the restroom and all the people working there stayed in character and would ask what is a restroom? 😅😅😅 he eventually found them 😂🎉
😂 that’s funny
The wooden board game was invented by Robert Moore, first published in New Zealand 1978, and is called 'Cathedral'. The American publisher had a booth at the Southern California Renaissance Faire ca. 1980 (just downhill from Witch's Wood) and you could win a free copy of the game by beating one of the booth people, which is how I obtained my copy. TV personality John Davidson had brought the game to the U.S. from New Zealand, and was the pitch man at the Faire booth. It is not medieval except in theme - the subtitle was (and apparently still is) "The Game of the Medieval City". At one time, Mattel Toys published a plastic version. Amazon seems to have a current-vintage wooden version for $50.
Thanks so much for the info!
Huzzah!! Love the Renn Faires. I usually visit the Northern CA Faire at Casa de Fruta. So many of my friends that love Sci-Fi, Star Wars, Cosplay comventions also love Renn Faire. You guys need costumes! I can totally see both Kitra and Peter fitting right in and looking fabulous in the costumes!
Huzzah!
Great video! Loved seeing Moonie in there. He always comes to the SW Ohio Ren Fair in the fall. Never miss his shows.
Very cool
Love the Disney vids, but this was a nice break from the Disney vids! Looks like you two had tons of fun!! 😊❤
Glad you liked it
New video so excited 😆
🙌
Turtle racing. 🐢 That's it. That's the comment. 😆🤣
Haha
What I love about this channel is that me and my six month old son have been on so many adventures, all over, and have never had to leave our living room.
This is such wholesome fun, and I can tell my little guy loves every minute of it and gets so much wonder from all of it.
🥰 this is a great compliment. Thanks so much
I feel like that too. CZcams is awesome in that way. You can see so many things.
I Love this place, it's so different! Really enjoyed this! Thank you Both!!!
🤗❤️🤗
Glad you enjoyed it
The TX Ren Faire is the biggest in the world and it runs from Oct-Nov, I believe! Would suggest checking that one out if you ever get a chance :D There's one about half the size called Scarborough Faire and it's from Apr-May. Also holy balls, the food prices there are insane. Ren faire food here is expensive (Texas) but still cheaper than what you guys paid. Kinda interesting to see the diff.
Would like to experience the Texas one someday
I love the "Faun" type guy who tries to take some cabbage- ha ha ha!! :). Great video!!
😂
Thank you guys. I love the Ren Fair when it comes around.
👍 thanks for watching
Glad your adventures were Ordinary! Lovely running into you! ❤❤❤
Good seeing you
O MY GOSH TOO MUCH FUN!!! Can't wait till we go this weekend!!! Thank you Ordinary Adventures for this GREAT Video!!!🥰
Have a great time
Personally, I’m LOVING all the content you put out! I’m living through you while you eat root beer churros and drinks with popping boba! Loved this video too! Thanks for bringing us along!
Thanks Carly
Looks like an amazing time!!!! Thanks for sharing! 😀
Our pleasure!
I love a Ren Faire! Great video. Looked like so much fun.
It was!
The guy with the passport....brilliant actor! Would love to see him in a movie sometime. His accent, voice, mannerisms...spot on not overly acted. Genuine article! Love Ren Faires!
He was great
I totally loved this video, you both always make the most amazing videos of your adventures. As a Renfest Nerd from S. Fla my fest is known as Flarf and I saw many of the same acts that I know in love especially Broon and Lady Catherine. Huzzah to more of your adventures!
Thanks so much 🙌
Omg this was the coolest! I’ve always wanted to go to a ren fair and now I want to ever more! Love those wands too 🤭
You should!
Ohhh, you are in my world now… worked the faire circuit for 20 years as an entertainer… only did Southern for one season. Several friends down there still. Whips and cracks (Randy) is a good friend and neighbor. Some of the better food deals are long gone now… food is expensive because REC gets a percentage on top of what the vendor normally charges. Glad you caught Moonie (he is the nicest guy and one of the heads of RECUE which is a charity organization to help participants who are sick and injured, because the company offers no insurance.) I stopped going once they moved from Devore to Irwindale (no participant camping). My wife is a henna artist and put together the books for them. Each booth is an independent vendor except for Beverage due to ABC laws (REC gets a percentage from them as well. It is a hefty “tax” like 20 to 30% upcharge.) Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Makes sense.
It arguably is a direct descendant of the oldest Ren Faires in the world… starting as an education event in the backyard in West Hollywood when the Pattersons built a gipsy wagon and taught some friends of mine Comedia del Arte. There are still some of those folks around…. The history is mostly oral, but there is a museum in Novato (Living History Center.)
Oh no I'm an episode behind in the Mandalorian lol 😂😂 great vlog really enjoyed it what a fun time 👍😁🇦🇺
It’s ok it’s not a spoiler :)
@@OrdinaryAdventures 😁👍🇦🇺
I love the Ren Fair atmosphere...so much to see and do and buy. So much fun.
The best!
Saw you guys there on my way out! It was a blast there
Should’ve said hi!
I’ve been watching videos from the homepage / lots of theme park history and I just checked subs and saw this. Yes!
Welcome!
Awesome video! ♥️ the Renaissance festival
Thank you!!
Great post, found you guys through Magic Journeys.
Welcome 🤗
Fun! I'm looking forward to the one in Kenosha, WI this summer!
Have fun!
I really enjoyed this video, in concept I’ve always wanted to go to a Ren Fair but now I have a good ides what they are like and really want to go now!
They are fun!
This was something nice n different to see n looked like fun
Thanks for watching
huzzah! well edited renaissance fair content yessssss a tuesday shakeup lets gooo
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. The Southern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire is my local fair and this year is the first time in 30 years that I'm not planning on attending (less pandemic closures). My main group of friends have decided not to attend and I no longer have any vendors I know there. It's great you took the time to watch some of the shows as without doing that, it would be going to a medieval swapmeet. Some of my favorite shows are: Moonie, Poxy Boggards, Broon, Bonk, Washing Well Wenches, and the last joust at 5pm. Yes, the 3 jousting shows are different and they get progressively better as the day goes on. Anyways, I'm glad you both had fun.
I think last time we went we saw the 5pm joust and I agree it was better.
Love it! 😊
Thanks! 😊
I am the left handed instructor at 10:09. We teach foil at the fair which is a point/stab only weapon. You won't lose an ear but you will be stabbed :) "are you tired rundown listless, are you unpoopular? Do you pop out at parties? The answers to all your problems as a fencing lesson. Yes with a fencing lesson you can be the life of the party once you've stabbed everyone else."
Ha 👍
Yeah, Fantasticals are back. I can not wait to go this year. love the faire. Always the chocolate covered Bacon.
👍 have fun
How fun! Thanks for another great video!
I went decades ago and got to see Bill Campbell perform. I was starstruck as it was after The Rocketeer came out.
That’s cool
This looks so fun.
😁 thanks for watching
I went opening weekend! I go at least once a season to check the vendors and try the food. I love seeing The Merry Wives of Windsor. I watched a bit of Clan Tynker's show this year. I still stay only a few hours (heat and crowds) but always have a blast.
Luckily when we went it was not hot
@Ordinary Adventures yep. This weekend may be better for pictures and costumes (the theme is RennCon so cosplay is encouraged) but the weather looks too hot for me. They do have a ticket equivalent of an annual pass (all weekends for one price) and if you know for sure you will go next year, there is sometimes a Black Friday/Christmas ticket deal.
Beautiful crown- it suits you and coordinates with your Kermie Loungefly. Also Peter’s favorite color!
Great point
Fun fact! The Renaissance Faire in Wisconsin has been ranked the best in the US for like a decade straight. It is an absolute must do for me every year. It's weird to see the same performers in this video that come to our faire! Great video!
Are you referring to the Bristol Ren Faire in Kenosha? I'm in Chicago so that's the one for this area. I agree it is an excellent set up. The permanent structures make it such an immersive experience. Interestingly I grew up in California and attended the SoCal and Bay Area Ren faires. Out of those two I prefer the Bay Area to the SoCal. But Bristol has the best layout.
It is the same company that runs both (plus the one in Tuxedo, NY). I am so glad you enjoy the Bristol Faire!
Oh wow so cool!
I haven't been since 2014 and I'm finally going on April 30th. I can't wait to see Moonie, Broon, the Jousters and the Washer Well Wenches. Huzzah!!!!
Have so much fun!
How fun! Great vid, guys. I only went there once when I used to live in Cali for 6th grade field trip so that was in 1990. Still looks. Glad you both had fun. Salud 🍻 PS: wifey loved your flower crown.
Thanks 😊
We loved this! We have a Renaissance Festival near us that we took our daughter to last year. We had a blast and even adopted one of the drabbit dragons you showed toward the end!
Aw I love those dragons!
I had a day where everything was going wrong (only minor annoyances but enough of them!) so this was a great surprise to watch during my lunch break. I love the medieval/Renaissance re-enactments, we have something similar here in Alberta where guests can stay overnight either in a medieval camp, Hobbit house or wagons. BTW, you two are looking great, I love the green!
Hope your day is better ❤️
Omg! I walked right by you guys! I was the one in brown and blue walking behind the queen, getting ready to go to the joust! Such a huge fan and hope you guys come out for one more outting!
We had such a great time
That looks like so much fun! I have never been to a Faire like that before. I really need to go to King Richard's Faire in Central Massachusetts one of these years. Maybe this is the year. Thank you for taking us on your adventure. 😁
I used to go to that as a kid - Peter
Yes, this faire looks so awesome & wholesome! This adventure video definitely makes me want to go 💕 We had the first ever Hawaii Renn Faire at Honoka'a here on the Big Island & I'm looking forward to the next one. I think this might be a faire Jacques ze Whipper performs at, he's so entertaining & hilarious!
I’d love to see what a Hawaiian ren fair is like
@@OrdinaryAdventures haha, the humidity is a killer!
Oh I was just wondering if we ever got our own renn faire yet haha
WOW!! IT looks just as amazing as our biggest fair out here in Bonner Springs, Missouri! Maybe you guys should try THAT one some time too; in addition to a lot of cool stuff like the kind you shared, we also have a thriving Pirate community, Steampunkers, real antiques for sale, and even FALCONRY!!! =D
Maybe one day!
@@OrdinaryAdventures ; )
I need to check this place out!!!
🙌 please do
I was there on Sunday too! So bummed to have missed you guys! 😭
Next time!
This was such a fun video! It was cool to see a few people I know from the faire I work at in MA too! The man you showed at the booth selling the dancing wings, I sold him that outfit!
So cool!
@@OrdinaryAdventures if you two decide you wanna dress up for next year I’d love to give you guys some pointers! I work for a costume company that sells such nice stuff Disney actually uses them! The girls at the beginning and end of the Boo to You parade carrying the signs are wearing outfits made entirely out of pieces we sell!
This brings me so much joy! I grew gong to this and I love that it still goes on. I have to take the girls ♥
Yes it’s so fun!
Those flower crowns are beautiful.
I think so too!
Hey guys this was a nice little video.Makes a change from Disney and Universal. All the workers or cast members looks like they enjoy working there. Thanks for taking us along. From Universal Jamie.
They love it
We have something like this in NC. It's a lot of fun I go every year and have a blast every time! I actually took a photo with the lady in the black and the first jouster on your side. The food is always amazing
Nice!
Omg chimney cakes! Its like a german designated desert and its sooo good when fresh!❤
Sooo good
Ugh I have to wait for June for our renn faire. Happy to live vicariously through you until then
Hope you have fun
Hey! That's Angelique carrying one of the flower arches at 12:33! She's awesome!
🙌
I’ve been watching you two since 2019. Where has the time gone? Another great adventure 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
It’s coming up on four years!
that fairy passport dude was delightful
Agreed
Man I haven't been to a Renaissance fair since I was a kid. This was so weird and wacky, in a good way! 😂 Huzzah to Peter's bib!
Huzzah!
"Honey... don't do that.." omg that floored me... Kitra you were rocking cuteness with that crown... and Peter, love the haircut man! Lookin sharp. Thanks again for sharing your adventures and have a great week you two. Lookin forward to the next one.
Lol
If you guys like Ren Faires, you ABSOLUTELY need to come to Texas Renaissance Festival!
Someday!
Kitra has the best taste in music! Thanks for adding the vibes in editing!
Aw thank you!
That looked like so much fun! We have a smaller Ren Faire here in Colorado.
It was!
I've always wanted to go to a Renaissance fair
You should go! It’s a lot of fun
I love the Renaissance fair.
Broon has one of my favorite comedy shows (make sure you see the last show of the day for adults only).
Favorite foods are the Irish nachos and the scotch egg.
I’ll have to try those next time
I love seeing renne faire's that have characters that interact with people. Love it!
Same
This makes me want to go!!!
You should check it out!
Looking at those prices i was shocked than i realised its usd and converted it to my curency in my head and i was absolutely floored holy sht… those prices are insanity
The prices at the fair are insane
I wish I had seen you there! I work at the beverage stand across from the henna tattoo stand. I am so glad you enjoyed yourselves! Huzzah!!
So cool!
Hey, luv u guys. Thanks for the video! Where was this one located??
Irwindale Ca
Yessssssss love a ren fest!!!
🙌
best one ever..not been since it relocated and got even bigger
Totally
Love the Ren Fairs, we have one here in Vegas too, probably not as big as that one. Great video as always.
Maybe someday we’ll go to the Vegas one
@@OrdinaryAdventures we do have a lot of cool fairs here, already did the Pirate festival and Scottish highland games this year. fun stuff.
Yall should look up the Texas Ren Faire! It is the worlds largest and it is incredible!! Ren Faire is such a fun event!
Sounds cool
It's like you walked into an episode of American Princess 😂 love it!
😂
The cabbage seller is the BEST!!!!!
😂 agreed
Moonie! He comes to the Ohio renn fest and I watch his show every year! One of the best shows!
🙌
My sister and her friends went to this renaissance fair last Saturday, and they had fun. They even dressed up for pirate weekend.
Glad they had a great time
I love moonie! I saw him once at a ren faire in Wisconsin and loved it!
👍
Moonie is one of the best entertainers! A staple at the Bristol Faire!
Very cool. I think they are a staple nationwide at a lot of fairs
This makes me want to go to our Ren faire in Texas this fall!
You should!
We have a faire like this every spring in N. Texas called Scarborough Faire. I think it goes from April until the first of June. Pretty huge and popular.
I’d love to experience ren fairs in other states
I highly recommend the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Faire in Nevada! You think our Southern Faire is big? Wait until you see that one! AoC took me 2 days to walk and guilds have whole sections to build their guild yard. I got a plant from the hobbits when I went. The Pleasure Faire (Southern Faire) is only the tip of the iceberg and doesn't have guilds volunteering like others do!
Would like to check that one out someday
