We have a similar ritual here in the UK. Its been over 30 years since a young black man was stabbed and killed by a gang of young white men. The investigation was botched and so we have heard about white racism and systemically racist cops ever since. And it is essential that the whole thing is dragged up and regularly used to remind us that we are not supposed to get along. Im not sure why Stephen Lawrence was so important that he gets so much recognition, but perhaps its because there isnt actually THAT much racism to bang on about

My child and I once got exit seats and a flight attendant came and said, 'Sorry, you can't sit here!' I showed her our boarding passes and she said, 'No, no, it's a mistake. Whoever sits here, HAS TO OPEN THE DOOR in case of emergency!' (That's what you are saying yes to, Matt - opening an emergency exit.) It was obvious to the stewardess that I was to small and too weak to singlehandedly open that door, plus she said they NEVER let children sit there. So we had to move and some bigger taller stronger men were put in our places. No objection from anyone involved. 🙂 Next time I got exit seat, I asked the attendant to move me. She laughed and said, 'Don't worry, in case of emergency, I will open the door!' 🙃
Except if she is incapacitated she won't be opening a door. Lots of times the agents out front do not know to look at all the exit rows or there is a last minute aircraft change and kids are inadvertantly put in emergency exit rows and should not be.FAA rules say disabled,under 15 or anyone who does not wish to be responsible to open the door must not sit there. I used to roll my eyes until I was involved in an emergency and the aircraft had to be evacuated....FAST. (yes,I was a flight attendant for 23 years in US and UK and Europe and it is all the same.
I was denied an exit row seat by United because a couple with a baby needed to sit there. The Dad had a boot on that they give you when your break your ankle. The stewardess ignored my question about whether the three would be able to assist in an emergency.

I am an Australian and I have watched the Matt Walsh Show several times a week going back to the home studio, not quite as far back as his in car rants, but it's been a long term relationship!
English is not my original language, but I normally have no problem understanding anyone from any English-speaking country, but a understand almost nothing of what rappers say when they are giving interviews or singing. What language are they speaking?
About the climate change poll and peoples attitudes, the answer is DOUBLETHINK. They deceive themselves they believe it, but they cannot really believe it on their core and change their lives because of it.

I don't know about police killings affecting the mental health of millions, but I do know the drug and illegal immigrant epidemic contribute to it.
I'm sure the families of addicts have had mental health issues, as well as those who can't get a good job in the skilled trades because they can't compete with those taking dirt pay. Also, the people who can't afford housing, due to the millions of citizens from other countries taking them.
I'm no scholar, but I'm pretty sure literally every other issue ever contributes more to mental health issues.

There is an irrational fear of being killed by a police officer. But let’s just say you think it is rational; police officers are being killed at orders of magnitude higher than unarmed black people.
Also interesting to consider: Officers IN THE LINE OF DUTY are trying to protect the public or in self-defense. Unarmed black individuals are generally killed during the commission of a crime or in an attempt to harm others. Not even apples and oranges - yet who gets made into a hero?
And white men are killed by police officers at least two to three times as often as black men.

Justice Alito, like any normal investor, sold stock from a company that was going to suffer considerable losses. This is a non-issue.

God shows mercy in ways we don't immediately recognize. Sometimes God takes life so that the person will not suffer his future sins, and that others will not suffer as a result of those sins. I feel that Mr. Brown was probably saved from spiraling further into a life of crime. If at 18 years old he felt emboldened to attack a police officer, who knows what even more heinous crimes he might have commited.
