But for schwanz -> tail you could also us its more slang meaning and say it's his "male genitalia" and that also fits with the "whipping" movement they do when they sing about it

Are we sure? I don't speak German, but I make a point of learning a dirty word or two in as many languages as I can. And it really seems like they're going out of their way to emphasize "Schwanz".
@@quercusquercus532 as its originally a kids song/nursery rhyme the intended meaning (and the correct direct/clean translation of shwanz) is tail.
But as probably every language has multiple words for everything to do with sex and bodily functions, shwanz does have a different "slang" meaning, and that is "penis" as you can probably guess from the motion they make when they sing about it. And those 2 different meanings are obviously the whole joke of the song

TBH As someone from neighbouring Belgium i have to admit that i always thought that shwanz meant penis (as in the correct clean translation) until i got into a band called Feuershwanz a couple years ago and reactors translated it to "fire tail" and i actually looked it up...

Fun aside that “tail” means virtually the opposite in English, at least if spoken by a hetero man.

Il macro-genere che hanno coverizzato è l'equivalente in lingua tedesca di Albano e Romina, Ricchi e Poveri , neomelodici napoletani, melodici e commerciali vari che fanno musica pseudo-spagnoleggiante o pseudo-latino, genere detto Schlager. Direi che ho già detto tutto! 😁
La grande differenza sta nel tipo di fruizione di questa musica, ma dovrei scrivere un trattato. Il consumo smodato di alcool comunque è uno dei principali fattori (chi lo avrebbe mai detto!)
