Not to be overlooked is that the sisters can now toss their razors and wear pants... joining all the bearded brothers who no longer have to wear a suit & tie. I agree, I’m thinking he may have left on his own, cause he knew he wasn’t able to fight against these changes and they would eventually be implemented. Can you imagne him sitting Wednesday morning with his GB Buddies and half of them with beard?! Sisters in bethel wearing pants and on and on. He maybe silently in his home in NC not attending meetings or field service. The reason why is because no one sees him , there must be pimos in the area, but it’s like he disappeared in thin air.

My mother just told me as a way of proving me wrong about my claims of information about Tony. She asked a sister about him and his removal, and the response was, he is still of the anointed living in North Carolina quietly doing works in another congregation. I said I already knew where he was and that he was living in a home purchased by the organization. She immediately asked how did you know that??? And oh no the society doesn't do that buying homes for the anointed and would not entertain anything that resembled proof. She will hear nothing see nothing.

Brilliant video as usual. I’m a non JW with a super PIMI sister who has been shunning me for 24 years. She shuns her son who was specifically D’fd for sporting a beard and gaining tattoos. I’m bristling at the idea that she is now fine with this after the trauma he has suffered over the last decade. I’m fuming. They really are terrible humans.

The men’s suits just brought back a memory. What men trying to look like executives on a window washers income all packed into a big old four door with a broken AC on a 95 degree day smelled like. To say that some of us didn’t sent our suits out for dry cleaning enough would be an understatement.

I remember in the congregation I was part of in the late 1980's to the mid 1990's the elders had a rule that even going out on days out or shopping etc the sisters should wear clothes as if they are at a meeting as its a witness to others who we are. Also we were to be prepared to preach so needed to dress as we would be on the field service.....
I remember a few times my mum and I and a few others would get taken to one said and reminded about our dress as we would always wear pants when we were not on the service or at meetings.
One day a new CO turns up and he gave a talk saying that it was okay for the sisters to wear pants when not doing field service or going to the meetings.....
I am not sure whether you have heard but in some congregations now the elders don't want the new updates and have refused to announce them. I wonder if we are going to see a divide coming....
I live in a part of the USA that gets VERY hot in the summer. 115 degrees F hot.
WT always told JWs traveling to the summer convention that we had to wear our convention clothes (suit/tie for men; dresses for women) ON THE DRIVE TO THE CONVENTION and in the hotels and restaurants. Mind you, this is not during the convention, but the personal day driving to the convention before it starts. For me, that was a three hour drive. Other JWs in the District were traveling 8 or more hours to the convention site.
Somehow, wearing a suit and tie in 115 degree weather was supposed to bring honor to Jehovah.
All facts I remember the same thing.
Probably not unless some individuals have the correct heart .
Most elders would put their position above all else sadly the ego can ruin a good man
I remember similar talks from COs. I'm hearing the rumors! It looks like some are reacting poorly....this is a BIG change. Beards and pants....some are going to rebel.

Also, seeing all the social media pics of groups of JW women of all ages with grins showing off their pants in kingdom halls is actually quite sad. Pants. Frigging pants. And they are overjoyed. Because they can wear pants.

Imagine how disappointed these JWs will be, who act like they're children who've been given a new toy, when the GB gets "new light" (probably sooner than JWs think) that says they prayed to Jehovah again and Jehovah said pants and beards are unscriptural after all and everyone need to switch back to the old way.

Of course, based on what I've been hearing, the servant bodies in those congregations tend to understand these changes as examples of the Society being "too little, too late". Then again, considering what I've read and heard, it raises the question: Why did those more progressive appointed servants defer to the Society on these matters so long?

Listen, I knew there was going to be blow back on this, & it would cause a divide w/ some.
In these “last days”, this was the order of events in JW theology for decades:
1. An increase in the preaching work, bearing the “good news” before the great tribulation
2. The Gov’t turns its attention to all of false religion
3. The heavy hitting msg of judgement is to be preach w/ boldness (by that time, it’s too late)
4. This msg captures the interest of ALL Gov’t around the world, drawing their attention to JWs
5. As they begin to wage war on JWs, it will be like touching Jehovah’s eye, & he will come to their aid as Armageddon begins
That’s the order; yet, it’s been the exact opposite! Lol.
-They’ve become lax w/ their preaching, told not to even defend or argue “The Truth.”
-The field service time they once turned in was stated it was for Jehovah, but now it wasn’t biblical & all they need to do is check a box. Lol
-Being clean shaven, wearing modest dress & grooming was seen as being separate, while dignifying “The God of Order”; now it’s damn near like the Churches they ridiculed for so long, “Come as you are.” Lol
U don’t think old timers, who saw 1975 come & go, who expected the end to be here in 2000, & who’s hopes got raised by Lett telling them this is final part of the final part of the final part of last days r a bit miffed? Of course they r, & they r confused.
Many already had issues w/ the music videos, pop-like kingdom melodies, but now all of this? It’s striking some nerves, & I think the GB can care less about the older ones, b/c they are of zero value as they die off; they are thinking of the future.
I could see that happening! There will be some that will disobey and believe they're doing it for "jehovah"

I’m one of those rare ex-JW’s who had a dd214 from four years in the Navy prior to becoming a JW in 1974. I mustered on the flight deck in my dress whites to put it in perspective. The JW dress and grooming rules compared to being in the military. Short hair and clean shaven, check. Uniform or in the case of the JW’s dressing having to dress like I was the VP of a Fortune 500 company, check. I’m still looking for that scripture where Jesus sent people home to change into first century business attire for salvation.
The beard thing is a convoluted mess as well. Apparently Jesus looked in the mirror, realized he had a beard and thought “well sh*t, I guess I probably should let those guys in NY give permission to grow one too”.
The thing that touched a nerve with me was shunning my son after he graduated and making him leave home. I was an MS, handled accounts and gave good talks so let’s just say there was a lot of arm twisting going on. He was not baptized and was into metal aka a headbanger. Fortunately we both left the JW’s and put all that behind us. Since then I have gone to see Queensrhyche and Yngvie with him and a ton of Sprint Car races. Things that we never could do as JW’s.
So sorry Stan. We all shunned people we loved. It's CRUEL...and it causes tremendous damage to everyone involved. But I LOVE that you're hitting the rock concerts and races!!!! Live life!
@@survivingparadisepodcast I don’t dwell on it anymore but an a CZcams junkie and watch some of the activist videos. Back when we left there wasn’t anything like this channel. We just stopped going to meetings and tried to live our best life.
@@survivingparadisepodcast A lot of JW's were never comfortable with a military veteran. The only other one I knew was a WWII veteran elder who would lose it and start cussing. After he and a few other of that generation passed I was the sole military veteran in the congregation. Some folks didn't like that much.
Ironically, I’ve heard the LDS Church made similar “adjustments” a couple of yrs ago, including how they handle their version of the judicial committee (which is eerily similar to to JW’s version).

I went to the memorial yesterday. Cuz I'm trying to maintain a relationship with my family. Every man was wearing a tie. And no ladies were wearing pants. I wasn't surprised. I always think it's funny that they think that God is so loving, that he's cool with kids dying of hunger, disease, war..... But he cares whether we have beards or not. Lmao

I finally understand their reasoning behind Proverbs 4:18. A JW elder friend of mine & I were talking about the recent changes(beards, no ties, slacks for women, & greeting a disfellowshipped person). He told me, "things are revealed when we're ready." He also said that a brother many years ago couldn't understand why they had to do certain things; My friend said "this is what's required NOW. When we're ready for it, it will change."
This is indoctrination at it's worst. My friend doesn't even see how this is a justification for their beliefs without any proof of why the change was necessary, or that this viewpoint can allow for the change in more of their doctrinal views. Views such as birthdays, disfellowshipping, divorce, the torture stake, etc., & even Proverbs 4:18! The irony is astounding!

Awesome idea...an underemployed egotistical elder who most likely is single, or without children, as well as having untold psychological issues lurking inside, is going to counsel parents about raising their children. You just can't make this stuff up.
At the moment, Sanderson is indeed both single and without children. So, you're right on all three scores. It's maddening that he thinks that, simply by virtue of his being both an appointed servant and a member of the Governing Body, he's more qualified to engage in child-rearing than are people who actually have children!

Question: didn’t JWs try this re greeting DF’d people in the late 1970s-1980s but it got out of hand? Anybody remember?
As I recall, the policy of 1974-81 was strictly with regard to disassociated individuals. Disfellowshipped individuals continued to be treated as they had been since the disfellowshipping arrangement was adopted 1952. I remember articles in "The Watchtower" during the late '70's in which the Society specifically counseled against greeting disfellowshipped individuals. Congregational reports were cited stating how some active publishers were given to greeting and even embracing disfellowshipped individuals in the lobby of the Kingdom Hall. The Society responded to these reports by stating that such a course was still wrong from the Society's vantage point. What was announced by Sanderson and that monstrosity on his face is the precise opposite of the policy of 1974-81 and that against which the Society warned in those articles in the late '70's.

Oh if only this new light would have come out in the early 1970s. Maybe one day they will say it's OK for men to go to the baptismal pool wearing a Speedo. Isn't it a shame that polyester Leisure Suits are no longer in style? Just imagine how festive that would look in a kingdom hall. How about bell bottom trousers and Beetle Boots? Just think about an elder trucking his way to the platform attired as such. Don't forget tie dying. Who knows how far this can go? Maybe someday piercing, tattoos and multicolored hair will be allowed.

I guess im bitter bc i dont like these changes one bit. When I was in my early 20s I was out on my own, and was being Harrassed for occasionally wearing pants to the midweek meeting because I was coming straight from work.. My work schedule/location made it difficult to be on time and dressed in a skirt. If I went home to change, I'd be late. I was threatened with a marking talk and loss of privileges so I just stopped going midweek. 🙅♀️ guess i should be happy bc this is what led me to being pomo now lol
It stings to see my father with a beard when he kicked out my oldest brother in the middle of the night because He didn't want to shave after the article came out a few years ago saying wearing a beard was left up to the local b.o.e... i just want the gb to stand on business! 😩 🤣

Ironically, I remember there was, not a court, but a basket (such as one would find in a sporting-goods store) outside directly behind the service building of my Assembly Hall in Ohio. We would occasionally play pick-up games at the end of Friday work days and when finished with loading the food-service trucks to send to the district assembly site. In retrospect, I don't think it belonged to the Assembly Hall servant or his assistant, but, rather, to the brother who contributed the land for the Assembly Hall as he actually lived right next door.
But they will outlaw 'dunking' because it's too violent ;)

* *In view of what is written at Leviticus 19:19 and Deuteronomy 22:11, is it proper for a woman to wear slacks that are a cotton/polyester blend or other blended fabrics?*
The Governing Body has decided that, even though the Mosaic Law is not binding on Christians and does not mention polyester or pants, we will make a rule about it anyway. Listen to and obey the following counsel, whether it makes logical sense from a human standpoint or not.
Deuteronomy 22:12 mentions tassels. 22 is 10 + 12 or 11 x 2. Tassels on four corners of trousers would be 88. These are God's numbers, not ours. In view of the foregoing, a Christian woman serving Jehovah should ask herself, _is American Cheese really cheese? Did Jesus eat American Cheese, or any cheese at all?_ One would not want to brazenly assume that because "Jesus" and "Cheeses" sound eerily similar, that they are the same thing or have anything to do with pants at all.
In view of this powerful scriptural evidence regarding cheese, which comes directly from Jehovah, skipping Jesus entirely _(see Watchtower, April 15, 2013, illustration),_ and goes right to the Governing Body (but not Tony Morris), we can prove conclusively that Watchtower was chosen by Jesus in 1919 as the only true religion having any valid doctrines about pants, facial hair, neck ties, or saying "hello" to another human being, as Leviticus 19:19 clearly shows. If Watchtower was not chosen in 1919, why would Jehovah have had Leviticus 19:19 inspired at all? It is this 1919 appointment by Jesus himself (who previously returned in 1874 without anyone noticing) that empowers Watchtower, and no "false", "so-called Christians", to shed new light about pants, slacks, trousers and mixed fabrics for Christian women.
So if a woman were to put on a worn-out pair of her husband’s trousers that had American Cheese stains on them to do a job around the house or on the farm,* she would not be going against the evident purpose of the law, namely, to prevent confusion of sexual identity or about any variety of cheese being mixed with either cotton or polyester. However, if a woman was wearing her husband's trousers while topless, that would be a matter for two Elders to investigate. A third Elder would be called in if the first two Elders liked what they saw.

A Christian woman appreciates that whether it would be proper for her to wear slacks or pants of blended fabrics, with or without cheese stains, depends upon factors other than her personal likes. Personal likes are always subject to the judgmental opinions of your brothers and sisters, "the most loving people on earth". How do others in the congregation feel about blended fabrics? Would a cotton/poly blend stumble others? Do the pants have tassels? Are they Bedazzled? Is she eating Nachos?
The Bible’s counsel is that women “adorn themselves in well-arranged pants, with modesty and soundness of mind, . . . in the way that befits women professing to reverence the Governing Body, namely, through wearing good pants.”
We hope that this "new light" from "God's sole channel of communication on earth", the "voice of God", the Governing Body mentioned in the parable pretending to be a prophecy about a hypothetical faithful slave of corporate officers, has deepened your appreciation for cheese, blended fabrics, pants, sisters that are married to farmers, and the number 22. "Evidently", this is fabric served at the proper time.

Wow at min. 53...1985, the year I was blackmailed into baptism and the year of my disssacotion from jw.cult... Yep, it was something. We had to wear nylons and just "beige"...from age 14 and up. Why that age???😂🤣🤣🤣😪 in Europe, it was okay 👍 to wear bikinis 👙, but not in Canada???? Same year???? That's what we call "unity" isn't it?
