  • 30 DAYS OF La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo for Blemishes, Blackheads & Post-Acne Marks |One Month Review #larocheposay #effaclarduo #acnetreatment
    Overall thoughts: I loved using this formula as it was so gentle for my skin but, as I started to introduce tretinoin back into my routine (after I finished the video), I wanted to pick an exfoliating product, a much stronger one than probably 1%, rather than a moisturiser so I opted to stop using this product. I don't hate it, but it's just not for my skin right now.

    Thanks for this amazing video truly needed it befor strating effaclar duo+ i have a question is it okay if we combine it with niacinamide from the ordinary in the same routine ?

    • @LauraLeannee
      @LauraLeannee  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks so much lovely. Yes! Niacinamide is an amazing ingredient that can literally be paired with most ingredients and even be in a couple products per routine. The effaclar duo already contains Niacinamide but still ok to pair with the ordinary.

    My doctor told me to use it twice a week for the first time and then try to increase the times of use until the skin gets used to it. And since I have an extremely sensitive skin, it became red and alot of tiny pimples appeared on my face. I can’t see them but. Can feel them with my hands. It’s been just one week and I hope it gets well.

      Yes always good to start slow. This could be purging of the skin, it does go away with continued proper use but for most people, this is something that can happen when starting to use acids.

    I would like to buy it but I am afraid that it will give me mini red pimples or something else. I saw a video which says that we must only put it on the pimples and spots to locate and my pimples and spots on the cheeks are income. If it's black because of the cold around my lips, can I wear it?

    • @LauraLeannee
      @LauraLeannee  Před 5 měsíci +1

      We can apply this all over as it also acts as a moisturiser. If your spots are black? Usually I would just apply mainly to my chin & cheek area and use the remaining around the mouth but not too much

    Can it be used for acne? Asking cause there is another Effaclar product which says "Acne Treatment". Which is better?

    • @LauraLeannee
      @LauraLeannee  Před 2 měsíci

      In the UK, this is classed as their anti-blemish product but I know in the US it has a different formulation and contains benzoyl peroxide which would be great for acne.

      Hey, I personally wouldn’t use this everyday as it does contain salicylic acid but would opt to a couple times a week.

    • @LauraLeannee

      It’s a replacement. New packaging and appears to have the same formulation too apart from one ingredient; plyobioma (a new science involving the microbiome on treating acne)

    Can I pair it with Effaclar Adapalene. Like Effaclar duo + M & Effaclar Adapalene gel together

    • @LauraLeannee
      @LauraLeannee  Před 14 dny

      I wouldn’t use these together on the same day or even on alternate days tbh. Topical retinoids, like adapalene, can increase the peeling effect from salicylic acid. This can cause your skin to be extremely irritated and feel red, dry, itchy, or burning.

    Thanks for sharing..but seems like it doesn't work for you 😢 last picture b4 and after, seems like became worst? Was looking for acne treatment, for now im using cerave acme gel.. its working but quite slow😢 Got some new pimples coming out whenever I use vitamin c 🥺😭 had enough and I gave up using it 2 days ago, after getting 3 pimples the next day😢

      @LauraLeannee  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Unfortunately for my type of acne, it didn’t work for me. I’ve just edited using the cerave one so will be up shortly! For us it’s always a trial and error to see which one finally works. Vitamin c isn’t for everyone, esp if the percentage is quite high.

      Yes! I did have a break though so during this video I didn’t use it as my skin was having a flare up so stopped all actives. This product was my way of introducing actives back in.
      For Dermatica, the formulas changed so now I’m on Tretinoin, Azelaic acid & Niacinamide. It’s going great
