- Quick look at the early build of beloved Hot Pursuit 2 from BlackBox! This version is very different and very incomplete compared to final release. Featuring unfinished user interface, different lighting / visuals, different music, different versions of same cars, and lots of bugs of course.

Super cool thanks for uploading! My favorite game and now I can emulate it on mobile with even upscaled graphics which is a childhood dream come true haha. Anyways here are some changes I saw:
-I remember the devs talking about how they thought the pre race 3 car angles was very important to them so interesting to see the early concept
-Extra jumps on maps + way more traffic / accessory vehicles
-New UI for cops + Speedo
-That 2nd vehicle cam is ATROCIOUS lol
-Driver model turns around physically when looking back
-Downshift indicator
-The older NFS style menu is just

oh yeah this reminds me, i noticed alot of things. One, the game is set at night time, was there night time at all? secondly, our driver a female driver. the game never had a story persay, so its similar to what underground & later games had.

I have too many fascinating questions and development theories to list about what I've just watched, but to begin with: I still wonder why they decided to go with so many misshapen car models when EA Seattle's version of HP2 had much more on-model ones, and they carried all the way to the final release at the end of 2002. Those Monaro GTS, 911 Turbo and Carrera GT models are hideous
Underground 1 and onward had nicer car models than HP2's PS2 release.
