  • It's been 8 long years since I made a service van video so its time for an update! Here is a tour of my current service van which is a 2014 Nissan NV2500 (Low roof)
    My van constantly evolves and changes from month to month and year to year as I rotate tools, bags, and products to make my work more efficient.
    A few items in the video including the vacuum pump and recovery machine are company issue so I am not currently using my own.
    Be sure to check out our full Amazon storefront to see all the products and tools I use. This also helps our channel grow!

    Nice setup. You need a NITECORE HC33 1800 Lumen High Performance Versatile L-Shaped LED Headlamp. Best light for attics and crawlspaces. After I saw how good this was, I bought two extra rechargable batteries and a charger. Got it from Amazon.

    I really enjoyed the video, I have a 2012 NV 2500. I notice a lot of guys don't use the bigger tool boxes like I do. I just think it protects your tools a little better and actually takes up less room in the end. I love the two liter bottle idea to a PVC pipe... that's brilliant!👍👍 I wish I only had to carry one or two bottles of refrigerant. LOL I've got two of the main flavors with a total of 11 bottles, 22,134a,404,407c,407f,410a.R22D. 👎

      Thanks man!
      I've tried some tool boxes/tool chests in the past but they seemed to be way too bulky. Maybe the ones you're using are a slimmer option than what I'm familiar with. Time for you to make a van tour video. I'm always up for ideas. 😁
      We do some coolers and ice machines but mainly heating and air work so we leave the other refrigerants at the office most of the time. No needed to carry them all when I may only need them once a month. lol

      @HVACRSurvival Před 5 lety

      @@HVACinSC that's how I was at my previous employer. Since being where I am now, I only have to run residential every now and again, but mainly I do commercial and Refrigeration. I thought about doing the van ture but I'm a little reluctant. I had my tools stolen out of my van in my driveway. Since that time I built a building for my van and it's fully secured with my home alarm and high-definition video cameras. Along with some other unknown disclosed tool recovery systems.🤫😏

Also when you use to drive the nv200 how did you get your condensers and furnaces to the job site? I am trying to figure out if I should buy an nv200 or the nv1500 as I will be new at running a business. Thank you in advance.

    • @HVACinSC
      @HVACinSC  Před 5 lety +1

      I've yet to see any refrigerant huffers in my 10 yrs working this area. My 10 yrs in DC was a different story
      As for liability, None. Umless there was surveillance cameras it would be nearly impossible to determine if someone left the caps off or if they were removed.

One of my bosses lives halfway so I pick up a lot of stuff from his house and drop off warranty parts I work in three different counties sometimes. I usually drive between 20 and 45 minutes to get to my first call. We have some clients near my house but for the most part the majority is farther. We have 72 employees and we work from Fort Lauderdale to Fort Pierce Florida which is a huge area. Specialize in indoor air quality and build multi system custom houses.
