    I always found that tying in 5 or 8 differnt kinds of winging material was the best use of my time tying flies when the fish, looking up, won't really see any of that. FORM. FOLLOWS. FUNCTION.

    Do longer/thinner "noodles" of dubbing on the thread, then stop with a little dubbing left on the thread. Then add more to the thread so the dubbing is all one unit and you dont have to wrap over the dubbing back and forth multiple times

      yeah, things that could be eliminated: 1) the longitude hair under the foam, 2) The head hackle 3) the underwing mesh and maybe even more. It's a nice tie though.
