- The Alans, a husband and wife magic and mentalism duo, perform a trick all about Penn & Teller in hopes of winning their first FU trophy.
Cleveland, Ohio based corporate Magician and Mentalist, Jason and Stacy Alan are one of the top performing duos in the nation. Known for their customizable shows, The Alans are quickly building a name for themselves in the entertainment industry.
Besides working for some of the top corporations in the country, they are also beloved performers aboard all of the Holland American Cruise line ships.
When not traveling on sea or land they perform their monthly magic show, IN CAHOOTS at the Metropolitan at The 9 in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Understanding the "stick together" and "lifting" references tell you how it was done but the presentation was top notch. Wonderfully done.
I can usually tell what they are doing. But i have no idea what she was doing to guess what color penn was choosing. I would think some kind of force but I don't have a clue if he truly had a fee choice.

Even without Penns "code", I had an idea how it was done. His "code" just confirmed it. But more important, I fully agree with what Penn said at the beginning. Two equal partners in this routine. It was a nice performance.

He's performing. I found it quite funny.
The Teller part was painfully obvious, I'm sorry to say, but the delivery was still top notch, and I'm at a loss for Penn's part. I legit don't know how and I suspect I'd have no idea even if I was much more versed in mentalism than I am. (I'm _horribly_ out of practice but when I was practicing I was all about card magic.)
Our goal was to distract Teller with something fun and to blow Penns mind with the mentalism. We almost had them
@@JasonAlanandStacy For the record, I'd love to see your show just based on this performance. Even though Jason's moves with the cards weren't as clean as they could have been, I was still enthralled and wanted to see the payoff.
Penn's code words are getting harder n harder to understand everyday!

🎉 my girlfriend and i loved the presentation style, and how it was clearly designed for penn and teller. unfortunately the conceit of the show revolves around “fooling them,” and not just being a good routine. there are several acts i can think of that got the trophy lowered when they really didn’t deserve it, and yours which deserves some better recognition.
anyway, good job, would love to see your work again!

I like to watch this show because it makes you solve puzzle at the end but this isn't a puzzle, it's a monolith. There's no way she knew what Penn chose unless the table he put sack on has built in scales and she has a wireless receiver of scale's data... This's so sci fi I don't believe they actually do it that way.

I mean, shots fired, yea, but it's is pretty objectively true that P&T are more entertaining than Criss Angel
First one is done with proximity sensor in the bag and hidden electronic chips in the wooden blocks, second one is even simple - regardless of what Teller chose, there would have been the same picture. This doesn't feel like "Fool Us" level magic, what am I missing?
No proximity sensor nothing in block.. so most of it

I felt Jason's one was easy because of how he fiddles with the option cards. I have no idea how Stacy did hers, tho.
@@voltcorpI believe there is a difference in weight for each piece. When the bag is placed on the stand after a piece is picked a scale weighs it and signals to her what piece is picked. Probably a buzz code. One buzz for triangle, 2 buzzes for square, 3 for nothing.
