    I remember Venture Department store back when I was living in Corpus Christi, TX. It's a shame that it went bankrupt and closed down. It was a great Department Store. We'll miss it!

    Wow! I remember being in one in Skokie, IL 1995 or so- I was 7 and my mom bought me Velcro shoes

    Hecht’s used those same maroon paper bags as Famous Barr as they were part of the May department stores company. I remember when paper bags were what was used in stores and glad that’s made a comeback in a lot of cases. We didn’t have Venture so I never got to go in one. Midwest and Texas only chain I think.

    Ventures! I remember our area had one but it’s been gone for well over a decade . I still remember walking in and around the store though
