- In this video, we converted our PvM Poison Nova Necromancer into a Player Killer! After a brief overview of the character, we cut to some duel videos. The build performs far better than we ever expected, that's for sure.

Now this is the kinda content I was looking for after getting back in to D2 2 weeks ago, but only found solo/offline/pugy videos. :D
I was feeling kinda demotivated as I started the first leveling and MF'ing seeing the game is dominated by farm/leveling bots on EU.
( Obviously my chars from around 12 years ago expired :( :D )
Not sure if I even wanted to play this game, then I joined my first PvP game after all these years running a double spirit,
non teleport Hdin, 3/4 empty inv ( using stuff like Gheeds and 12 life or just 8% fr sc's in the used slots ).
Remembering some patterns and trying to figure out the matchups from the scratch was such a fun and nice challenge.
My doubts were fully gone after the first duel game I joined!
Going against elements was a lost cause, but I had some amazingly fun duels against some other Hdins, Barbs and a lvl 99 Smiter.
At one point he asked me if I put on %dr gear and I showed him my stuff. He was a very nice polish dude and helped me out quite a lot!
Gave me a bunch of plain 17-19 scs and some 5@ and even a 20 life/5fr one. :D
I was super grateful and thanked him many times. He was just like "No problem. You earned it.
It's amazing what you did with your gear. I want to pvp a better version of this paladin."

I have my doubts that d4 will have any type of dueling at all. Seems closer to d3 than d2 tbh.
Old school diablo 2 duels were the best. This is fun but the era of teleporting on every character seems lame to me. Those old non runeword battles were so fun!

I've heard a lot of people say this throughout the years. I understand why you wouldn't be a fan of tele, especially being a fan of the classic version of the game, but the addition of Enigma in patch 1.10 is really what transformed PvP into such a dynamic experience. Without it PvP is basically namelock each other and whoever's gear is better wins lol. Also Sorc is virtually untouchable if no other char can tele.

I use to use dream rune word in my helm slot for this build lol. Little added damage with the holy shock just in case golem couldn’t handle it.
good note to keep later use. there is certain reason to archive this information with other transition duels.
Just use teeth/cast fire golem out far lol.. The tricks I have up my sleeve for my chars.. My opponents just love me lmao...

I know a hand full of people, not me included, that would argue that Path of Exile is the best ARPG ever created. 1) Hammerdins 2)MF PvE Sorc 3)Profit 4) PvP I hope Diablo 4 is gorgeous and the metric I will use is David Breviks opinion of the game in 3 aspects. Nonetheless I will buy it with good faith. See you at the gates of Hell.

yeeeey! a fellow d2 player!!! still playing it right now! i got a PVP hybridmancer and also a PVP poisonmancer with end-game items and weapons. poisonmancer used to be a mediocre PVPer because of rejuvenation potions plus virtually every PVPers have enigma and just teleport away momentarily if bone prisoned then heal then teleport to kill you. but i believe it has potential. still, hybridmancer with maxed bone spear and teeth is better because it can bypass resistances plus it can kill while poison attacks leave enemies with 1 health.
D2.. Best game in my book! Both necro builds have their merit. Poison Nova can kill your opponent if they're hit directly. But yes, that's why we use fire golem... Get's that last hit in with HF at great distance. Against most builds (or even unsuspecting GG foes), it only takes one hit.
@@Coooley yeah i created a nonladder poisonmancer just months ago i just went back to it an hour ago my chars are saved both in google drive and flash drive for backup hahaha!

well the poisonmancer, though survivable, is really, REAAALLLY fun on ladder games specially if the enemies are not yet in full endgear like 90% resistances and integer resistances. it eats up mid tier and heck even some high tier enemies like crazy! you got to have full revujs and antidotes ready all the time if your set is not yet complete.

i discovered though, that adding lets say a few summons, can actually mess up melee builds because the summons teleport around you. it's like additional armor against chargerdins or zealots. it makes poisonmancer more durable.

also the trang oul set was the go-to for poisonmancers though i still use spirit runeword in a sword and a bone shield for cool factor hehe!

Thanks for the in-depth response, man. Summons are typically considered BM in PvP, but... When you need to bm some people, it makes you almost untouchable. It's very difficult for dins to charge you when you've got revives/summons! I've dabbled in ladder a bit, but usually prefer NL. No Path of Diablo for me :P

I had an alternative 'hybrid' spec where i also used (and put some skill points in it) bone spirit/bone spear to spam alongside poisen nova. Worked like a charm in pvp

I was honestly looking for a bone or psn build for my necro partially based on these duels (es orbs worst enemy haha) it was fun dueling but I honestly had no idea you were recording. that was my first time back on in 5 years? I missed my orber and necro and now Im here watching me get wrecked lol. I think it was my first pvp match too since then. Anyways great content keep up the work. D2 is a great game! Feel free to add me to test some builds or what not.

What's up, man!? That was one of my first dueling runs on a Poison Nova necro, too. Was really impressive! I honestly thought that, as a cold sorc, you were gonna destroy me. If you woulda been Blizz, I think it woulda been a different story. That game was full of some good-mannered people and was a real fun night. Was really fun dueling with you!

@@Coooley yeah I went straight orb no syn and maxed ES with integer DR. Its strong vs all BUT poison haha. Try one out if you can if you enjoy being a tank and dying to poison.

It's an amazing character, man. I definitely slept on the awesomeness of this archetype for years
EastDuels made it. Lvl 84 necro. Got a death web 2-45 with 5-5 psn a fcr circl with resist and str and fcr rings. Arach, upped homu with Eld. Mara 26. Eth sands, and some 3x life Pb skillers. Played a few duel games with it but it’s hard to take out the last bit of hp. Fire golem didn’t do the job for me... it’s a very defensive play style. Prefer bone spear necro a bit more. Know any good guides? Especially with max block?
Max block? Just stomp 'em for the last 1 life. Nova will kill 'em too. Sometimes, I also use lvl 1 Spear from a distance now. With all your charms, that will finish too. Although Fire Golem should do the trick. As with any build, the more you practice, the more comfortable you become with it. JSP should have a decent guide on a MB PnB necro; It's also on my radar to make a video about that version, as well.
EastDuels it’s suiting me way better right now. Currently lvl 89 and I think I’ll w8 until I restart it to a bone spear/spirit necro. Rekking a lot of pvp games atm :-)
I use to face roll with my necro till my account got deleted cause I wasn't able to login ☹️ was really decked out and pretty much unstoppable bone revive I had that weapon in secondary slot that gave u like 6 into revive super op lol
Bone prison use to make me lag so much when pvping. Good old days of playing on a 32kb connection.

@cdxxlife they fixed that bug before I could play with it in the days. but I do remember playing with iron maiden back in the days when it worked as a curse that was useful and worked as an authentic/proper skill (and stand alone useful). when they patched it. they poo'd on the effects.
@cdxxlife the game is way different when you get the collectors edition. even barb item find is puking up regular items not magic

Literally lol'd at this. 451 poison charms are frowned upon, for whatever reason. But all other forms of poison are good according to standard GM rules (source: asgardpvp.com/gm-dueling-rules)
Btw, Scientifically speaking, Max Block helps with Squishy-Butt Syndrome.
Poison necro is not a great dueler at high level d2 PvP, but is a hilarious bot killer. I’ve nuked level 98 bots to 1 health with nova and had them die to mobs in chaos. They get what they deserve for cheating lmao.
make a slowazon to piss everyone off
actually dude bonemancer is one of the deadliest PVP builds out there. have a spirit runeword with a shield and a sword for faster casting rate (FCR), max out bone spear and/or bone spirit and its synergies , add bone armor to soak up some physical damage, have decrepify for slow, have an enigma armor, and a good + FCR helmet with tons of +skill charms, also a hellfire torch charm, and all you have to do is spam teleport not too far from enemy, spam bone spirit as it will track your opponents, teleport out, repeat, and boom enemy is dead. just carpet the entire battle field with bone spirit. at max FCR you can cast like 4 bone spirits a second with each spirit dealing 4k damage! melee enemies got virtually 0% chance to defeat you, other players like trapsins and blizzard sorc have better chances. also, there is no effective resistances to magic damage of bones. 4k bone spirit is better than 10k lightning damage because of 90% max resistance.

for poisonmancer though almost the same items, but using poison nova then use fire golem as nuke. fire golems have fire damage when summoned and resummoned to a specific area. the problem with poisonmancer decades ago was it just could not kill a well equipped player with 90% poison and fire resistance , 1500 HP, with enigma's teleport, and with tons of rejuvenation. to pull of a dominant winning streak you have to get very fast hands in the teleport - poison nova - fire golem nuke - teleport set up , versus bonemancer's easier teleport - bone spirit - teleport strategy. plus the nova range is shorter than the bone spirit range

Thanks man! We struggle against paladins with ass loads of resistance, mainly. Wind druid matchups are easier than with a pnb necro, but can be difficult. Trap sins that can keep their distance also are a problem.
is this. active information to ask weak points to target weakness without trial and error methods of experimenting or an honest back bone question? some peoples questions are double sided draft of information
Hey man I made a poison nova necro at the start of this ladder I’m loving it so far!!! I usually just play at 75fcr or I go with 3 piece Trang’s to kill any monster in the game. I find myself killing pit vipers with far more ease. Which has me thinking how viable is 3 piece Trang’s in a duel?
That's really interesting. -25 psn res. With Lower Res and 3-piece Trang you could also cast a pretty nasty Fireball/Firewall to finish from a distance. I might have to test this out.

Golem spawning with another char with merc hostile each other and despawn the golem to get the arrow to soar through town to merk you glitch
I lost all my perfect jewels 15max damage jawns and all my loot on my character killed in town some proper bulls hit
Same thing happened to me on HC once :( Fortunately, they HAVE fixed this!

In which moments, i mean versus which characters is it smarter to use hoto? When to switch homunculus for spirit? Can you give me an examples? I have all the stuff but i am not sure when i need to put the fcr rings and the spirit and when to use the hoto. No hate pls i am new to the game :D I've done the build the same as yours (took it as an example)

Man this brings back memories. Ghosts were always a total pain. Contrary to my old ass acct name I never really did bm duels. I def don’t remember psn Necs being a big thing at all. My personal fav was always Wind Druid. Just tele stomp on ppl and if they didn’t have enough fhr it’s gg. And of course charge/desync dins. How bad/good is NL dueling right now?
Nice! Wind druids are very fun, my man. Very linear game plan, but extremely effective. NL dueling is good. As with any realm/playmode, you do run into some BM people, but for the most part, people are cool.
called my druid cow_plow back in the days. just a lower level druid plowing cows to level up new characters. can not trade experience value of play for some cost of money.

Depends on what we're going against. If you're dueling a build where you need to tele in, strike, and tele out quickly (sorcs, necros, bowazons, for example) max cast can pay off. Otherwise I like 75%.

the nice part. they didn't over buff the necro. those that wanted to play it's set value played it's set value but not for power. other people missed out just scoring kill boards rather then experience for play value. those other players found neat builds not always focus points of play based on power. and come up with these ideals. those that like to experiment. the other side of 'human' experience points

Oh for sure. That's still a thing. In-game trades on ladder though are better than they've been in years. No more spam bots either!
Actually jsp is the most efficient way to gear chars but if u play on east there is also d2gd where u can just spend real money on gear too lol

I have some mod for this build that can reach -155 to poison and around 11 k. DMG with Max block all the time .
.here is it ....
The idea is about using 3piece trang's glove /belt/shrunken head (which have a decent block rate and -25 to enemy poison with 3 pieces) ..@ lvl 98/99 it need 26 more dex points than homunculus for Max block ...through poison facets in it .
Enigma ..crafted amulet ( 2 nec and at least 8 FCR and decent stats). two 10 FCR rings with other good res and stats
Head coa two poison facets..(.u can keep another in stash with double ber for DR )
This build have 48 FCR and reach 75 in off hand.
Off hand cta and spirit ( 27+ FCR to complete 75fcr in off hand)..
Inv ...torch /anni/life..fhr poison skillers.........u will need 3 fhr skillers to reach 86 break point.
Stats and skills the same as urs ..
This build gives u a decent firewall spell which will be great distracting the opponent and make him very cautious closing the distance to u.
I think i hit 11k to 13k on battlenet. but for sure it hit at least 10k
Ethereal Flail Hoto non indestructible? why?
Eth flails are fine because we don't hit things with it (which is the only thing that damages them)

Try this with a +3 psn bone skill base white wand
heads up. it is bad. get even a lower res curse with 3 nova and maybe spear too. all can be 3 and still be a bad white wand. I would suggest you use a blue 3 necro and 3 nova . with 2 socket at lazurk before trying to build a white. if you got white wand use it for budget and starter gear. waste of time if not
I beat the number 1 wind Druid with my psn necro back in the day and all his friends started laughing at him. He went to his stash and put on all anti psn stuff on lol
PVP zons using guided arrow are relatively unused and also broken as hell lol
Pvp zons require some of the best and expensive gear, jewels and especially charms in the game

Can't stand the synergy/runewords in this version of D2. everyone was hax.. everyone teleports... everyone has barb shouts.. shit was so cheesy, and it felt like I was playing a hacked Jamella character XD good video although I hate 1.10+ I used to RIP people with my martial arts assassin... no such thing in 1.10+ Traps or nothing at all.. anywho good day!
Go check out Riftsin videos. Its a Martial Arts / traps hybrid and it's seriously the funnest build ever. you can do Ubers with it, PVP and PVE. The Frozen Orb procs coming out of the Rift runeword just fucking shred.
That assassin kid thought your ANDARIEL 🤣, he doesn't ANTIDOTE potion is useless, couldn't stop a POISON NOVA from a necro.. 🤣😂

I think so, too. NBD, though. FPK. On stream the other day, it was surprising to see how many people absolutely hated losing to a poison nova necro haha. Did everything they could to survive.
I would go aldurs and bramble over enigma and treks
In PvP, it's really hard to give up Teleport with this build. Bramble is over-kill in most GM duels, anyway. That being said, if we had a teleport charge amulet... Now THAT would be an interesting build! Also, necros need FHR from Treks. Otherwise, we'd never have escaped those mindblasts from Creation. Good seein' you on here again, man!

TBH with you Bro your Psn Necro is Very weak My bro, This is a top shelf Dueler, you'd have to redo your charms, Any Kinda Lightning Sin or Sorc woulda Caused havoc to You or FOH.... 3k+ Hp and capp'd res
most times I would think. but FOH is weak to other builds. so don't buff your charisma points too many for your dialog

he didn't have the greatest stats or resist this is one of my fav builds. next to the Bone necro, which bone necro slays all.
