For all the trouble your going to have with the pump over the years , I would have built a base , looks like if you use a standard PVC p-trap you can get away with 6" or less, have it come out about a foot from the front edge of the LT to stand on. Now the LT drains by natural gravity , no more pump problems , no more electricity needed , problem solved forever other than if you clog it up. 👷🏻

Just so you know there is a rubber lubricant that works great for those couplings and rubber hose. It's called p80 made by ipcol. They will even mail you a free sample pack to try it out.
Have that problem many many times with Zoeller and switched to Liberty with no problems

I've had my sink lift pump for about 3 years, it is mainly for the clothes washer. I think it is starting to smell, in that it gives a strong laundry soap smell... so not the worst, but it made me curious about cleaning it. Is there a way to clean it? I'd prefer not to take it apart

Hey I have the same system that you removed here. I am getting an oder from the sink. I am going to assume I need to clean the bin out from soup scum and what not. Do you have any recommendations on how or what to use. Is there anything I should buy like gaskets or replacement parts to get while I have it opened. Thanks again your video was very helpful.

I have never had a pump fail before the switch in my basement sumps so the last one is a Zoller all cast with a Level guard electronic switch it is only a year old but time will tell and also installed a Basepump water powered backup that will keep up during a storm.

Great video! Thanks for sharing your skills and every step you did to replace the pump. Your videographer did a good job following you. You made something, which seemed impossible, possible to do for a lay person. Our pump is making weird sounds, will try cleaning first (as you mentioned in the video). ---Personally, didn't find the political commentary helpful...ended up muting the sound.

I agree with many political points the guy brought up especially the point of giving the stimulus money to those that are in dire straits due to this pandemic as I have been working the whole time, I am presently laid off but that is the marine industry here in N.J. most facilities lay off their employees from January to April. He is missing a few key facts though when kind of pointing the finger at poor Democratic policy; when Bush took office in 2001 the U.S. was 3 trillion in the green financially, when he left we were 4.5 trillion in the black. Bush spent 7.5 trillion during his reign. We saw gas basically triple in early in his years, I recall paying 4.35 a gallon for diesel here in N.J. Lastly is the comment about how the absurdly wealthy should be taxed hard, it was the Republican party that put the tax easement laws in place
for the mega rich,not the Democrats. I must say before folks attack me, I do not claim a party, I vote for who I think will do the best for the country, I voted for Trump on 2016 but not in 2020 as I found his arrogance and blatant disrespect for folks that might slightly disagree with him sickening, and lastly the comments I listed are fact as they can easily be looked up on any search engine.
