- In this video lecture we have described the timeline of tooth development (initial calcification of the tooth, crown completion, age of eruption, and root completion). We have also described the number of the permanent mandibular first molar in three tooth numbering systems (Universal, Palmer and FDI tooth numbering systems). We have also described in detail the morphology and key identification features of the mandibular first molar from all aspects.

You are welcome. Yes there are pits such as buccal pit associated with the buccal grooves.
