Best video yet on the top link!! Sure wish I would have watched this before I ordered one. Other videos say to measure your existing top link, but that assumes you have the right one to begin with. Other tips you mentioned are valuable as well. Thanks!

I understood what you said in the last video, but it was nice to get technical too. Good job installing the system, you can help me with mine if I ever do it! Just pull out the drive and go south, I am guessing 750 miles or so, first place on the left. Lol.

This may be in my future. We have the B2601, and the 54 inch Landpride box blade.
Yesterday , with your help, I built pins to replace those clips on the scarifiers from 1/2 inch bolts with 3/4 inch washers welded to the top.
They work great, thanks for the inspiration.

Making my rounds... LOL, That top link would be sooo handy. I think I will run a line to my 3rd function and use it that way until I have the time to install rear remotes. It's a bit more tricky with the BX23s I believe.

lx2610 here and we bought the same top link but cannot connect to the factory hydraulic set up. Looks to have a 1/2” male end on the hoses that came and on the dealer installed pioneer females it’s not even close. 3/8” end screws onto the hose but does not state size of male end that is supposed to go into the tractor. Did you have to change ends or was your system already set up for that size?
Our boxing was terrible aswell. Numerous scratches and such on cylinder aswell.
I have the Summit Hydraulic rear remote kit and it plugs right in. I would have to double check but I believe the Summit Kit has female 1/2” pioneer couples😁👍
I was thinking about one of these for our back blade and for our snow blower. Problem is one is cat 1 thee other is cat 2. What’s your professional opinion on just using bushing to accommodate the different size pins ?

do you plan on adding an hydraulic side link cylinder in the future? i.e. to be able to tilt your box blade from side to side.

Good video! Now I will ask a dumb question: You were (are) running the top link via one of the "hydraulic multiplier valves", correct? How do you actuate the hydraulic top link when using a multiplier valve, i.e what is the exact sequence of events? Do you hit an electrical switch to divert hydraulic oil from the lift arm valve to the multiplier... then what? Do you control the top link motion with a joystick, with a switch, or something else? I want to know this detail because I am planning to install a multiplier block on my tractor and I want to know how it works. Thanks for your excellent videos!
I will try to explain it the best that I can😁The manifold has 4 directional valves so each valve has 2 hose that go to the dual port cylinder. Each valve has 2 Solenoids that control flow direction in or out momentarily to control the cylinder in an out using a electrical stitch or button. The manifold is connected to the power beyond valve on the tractor and return is connected to the hydraulic reservoir tank. Hope that makes sense😁👍
@@MJADoingStuff It does make sense, but let me emphasize the point that confused me.
The total control of the top link cylinder is via the "stitch or button" that controls the directional valve. The lever that controls the 3 point lift arms (the one that came with the tractor) has no function with the top link cylinder. In fact, the lever that controls the 3 point lift arms is totally irrelevant to the directional valves. Correct?
To extend the top link cylinder you push a button, and as long as you hold that button the top link will continue to extend until it reaches its limit. To retract the top link, you push a different button (or maybe the same button but in the opposite direction) and retraction works the same way. Is this correct?
I know this is a very basic (i.e. dumb) question, but nobody on youtube actually shows the action of the hydraulics and EXACTLY how that action is controlled.

@@MJADoingStuff I did watch the install video, but I will watch it again. I want to be certain I understand everything before I spend several thousand dollars on the required parts. Installation is clear from the video, but operation of the new control valves is not as clear. If it is not already clear from my questions, I am a complete novice when it comes to hydraulics.
One of the things that intimidates me about the installation process is that I must remove the tractor right rear tire to allow access to the "beyond" fitting. That tire probably weighs at least 600 pounds on my tractor, so handling it is not trivial.

How much down force does the 3 point hydraulic put down? 500lb ? 2000 lbs? This would be a great video idea
That’s a good question but the 3 pt hitch has no down pressure just gravity it would just lift up the linkage😁👍🚜💨💡
@@MJADoingStuff i think a 2” diameter bore at 1,700 psi puts out like 5500 lbs of downward force.

Hows that Top Link holding up, I wanna buy the same size for my DK10 ?
It is working good so far did you measure to make sure it will work on your DK10? They sell multiple sizes.
@@MJADoingStuff Yes, the DK standard Link is 19 1/2" to around 30".
I only see Spare Parts Holland and others only have in Cat 1 is the 20 7/8 - 31 7/8 or the 18 1/2 - 26 3/8.. I do have a Quick Hitch so thinking the longer one might work best..
