My dentist ground my teeth down in 6th grade to give me deepbite (as he did for all my siblings, for mere money). Immediately I noted a protruding upper lip, and bad breath. For years I tried hard to keep my mouth closed, and chewed gum to keep breath fresh (too closed off). THIS CHANGED MY OUTGOING PERSONALITY and confidence!
At 67, my lower teeth are now collapsing in. Misaligning.
EXPERIMENTALLY, I set my bottom teeth out to nearly meet and immediately feel relief in my upper back.(I KEEP THINKING I NEED SURGERY TO CORRECT LEFT SHOULDER ROTATING INWARD, but this fixes it--"scoliosis").
BIOMECHANICS: I want my bite realigned to correct posture strain, and leave proper amount of room for tongue to rest on floor of mouth. Is this an American thing TO GRIND DOWN TEETH? Europeans, newscasters, and actors, all have good bites. This affects elocution, diction, airways. What a mess to mess up what nature did!
