    Box Hill has really good Chinese food. I love spending time there just walking around and looking at every single restaurant. Its like visiting another country, there are so many exotic options that I can’t find outside of this area.

    This part of town looks quite nice. The price for that half duck is not bad at all. Duck with white rice, that's all you need. We always found it interesting how Asian countries mix seafood and meat in the dumplings and other recipes. Looks so good.

    I always known that Melbourne was a sweet spot for good Chinese food ! Those roast duck and dumplings but most importantly I a big fan of biang biang noodles! I would add a good amount of hot chili oil to flavor pack it!!! So yummmy ! You can't go wrong with the egg tarts!!! To finish the day

    • @TwoHungryDiners
      @TwoHungryDiners  Před 2 lety

      That's true! There are many Chinese migrants here, finding awesome Chinsese food is not a hard task 👍
      Ah yes adding a bit more chilli oil would add extra pack of flavour in biang biang noodles. So good!

    Nothing like good Chinese food. You know the food is legit when there are ducks hanging outside. Roast duck is so good. I have never tried the Chinese Pancake before. You eat a much bigger variety than I. I need to get out of my comfort zone.

    "Roast duck in" some days are good, some days are not as good. Grain Asian BBQ in the central is also good with roast duck. 凱蜜dumpling might taste good, not sure if the kitchen hyigine passes Council inspections these days?

      Ah we haven't tried roast duck from Grain Asian BBQ. We'll give it a try next time.
      I see what you mean by the kitchen hygiene. It used to look a bit dodgy before when we visited many years ago. Right now it looks all right (the dining area, not sure about the kitchen though) :D

    • @TwoHungryDiners
      @TwoHungryDiners  Před 2 lety +1

      We have only been to yum cha restaurants most of the time in the CBD area. Our recommendations: Shark Fin Inn in Chinatown, Gold Leaf in Docklands, and Secret Kitchen in CBD for more premium price. There are couple more in the suburbs but we haven't been there since a long time.

    Thanks for this nice local video, its great! However I do have a bit of feedback, if you are open to that.
    I (and many other people) absolutely cannot stand people talking with their mouth full! I absolute hate it when someone is talking to me, and as I'm looking at them, I can see their mouth opening with food inside!! Or I can see that they have their food tucked inside their cheek as they're talking to me.
