    People say the interior is dated but I find it less convoluted than the new truck interiors. The only really dated parts are the backup camera and the gps, the rest seems convenient the way its placed. They also say its dated b/c of the 6 speed transmission and think a new 10 speed will help solve its gas consumption, but as we're seeing right now a lot of people who own the 10 speeds are having gears slip, hunting a lot, or the trans are locking up momentarily before finding the proper gear to be in when going from park to drive.

    • @Libertarian_Neighbor
      @Libertarian_Neighbor Před 3 lety +3

      This. I totally agree. I don’t know when the “more gears the better” propaganda started. I remember all the Jeep’s with the 9 speed transmission that had to be replaced within the first 10k miles. More gears does not equal better all the time.

    Ok for everyone in the comments. The Tundra is not for everybody! If you want a truck just to look cool and drag your nuts then maybe not for you. If you want a luxury look just still trying to look cool then not for you. But if you want a relaiable truck that gives you everything a truck needs then yes its for you. If you want a truck that will last you 15+ years and not have to pay for another vehicle, the headache of something breaking down and get your moneys worth because inevitably all trucks are expensive, then yes its for you. Grown ups with wisdom will understand this. Toyota is not trying to be flashy with the bells and whistles and mass produce some average quality vehicles. They give you quality. May have to sacrifice sometimes. But i think the tundra is still a nice looking truck.

    Much more plain than the big 3 but in 15 years and 300k only this one will likely still be on the road. Ram has amazing interior and love the Cummins, but rest of the truck around it falls apart.

    Nice truck. I personally like the Tundra.
    I'm ok with this version being a bit older looking. I just wish it got better fuel mileage. I don't think it is to much to ask for a 2021 model. Toyota could have put a different transmission like a 8 speed and a different rear end gear ratio to help with the fuel mileage.
    4.30:1 final drive gear ratio is fine if your pulling a very heavy load but if Toyota would have offered a option of something like a 3.55:1 would have helped. I understand the reliability conversation points on the way it is now offered.
    I am personally waiting for the new redesigned model of the Tundra. Hopefully Toyota will offer a special early purchase program on the new model of Tundra. With something like a special warranty to go with the new 2022 model to help with customers reliability concerns. Since it will probably be a hybrid or a V6 turbo engine configuration.

I love it just the way it is that's why I got the 2020 Tundra crewmax sr5 with trd offroad fully loaded with all the options and a few accessories from Toyota. A bit expensive but well worth it and the 38 gallon gas tank is really necessary!!! Tundra for life!!! (P.S. I don't trust v6's with turbos and hybrids, give me a na v8 and I'm happy!!!!👍🙂

    I just bought this truck from your dealership in magnetic grey. The sale was great and appreciated the whole sales procedure. The only thing about this vehicle I have an issue with is the ride quality. Driving on asphalt is great but while driving on the concrete freeway the seams on the concrete really vibrate the truck. The seats really sold me over the top.
