This took a little bit to put together, so I apologize for the wait. If I could just ignore life and work to play DBFZ all day I might, but alas, I have bills to pay.
Anyway, here's a little mini-guide I put together discussing Videl's changes with the new patch. This video goes over what changed in the patch notes, what these changes mean for her combo routes, and examples of several new combos. These combos aren't necessarily the "most optimal" or "highest damage" she can possibly do. Rather, these combos are built to apply a few new routes to a variety of situations to help player new and old adjust to the new timings on some of her buttons.
I will be updating my full guide soon enough, with updates to her pressure, oki, combos, and everything else. Stay tuned for that.

For anyone wondering about 4:15 you have to delay your jMLH2H on every hit to work on small/medium characters midscreen (ex: GT goku , BlueKu). Overall an immaculate video and I hope you get more attention for this vid, its amazing 👍
Edit: All of the new combos also have this condition when dealing with small/medium bodies need to lab all characters so you can know all characters this applies to and will update when I'm done.All new midscreen bnb combos require you to be touching character models to land.
I was looking for a video that very clearly explains the practical changes to Videl and this is definitely it. The way you articulate the combos and changes makes 100% sense. Great examples, damage values (scaled, unscaled and bars), new vs. old examples, and an amazing presentation complete with menus, characters, and sound effects. Amazing video!!!!! Subscribed.

Trust me I felt that pain too. This guide is a collaboration of myself and other Videl enthusiasts over in her character Discord to come up with just a few new sequences and apply them to as many situations as you can. That way you don't have to relearn so much haha

This is my first time seeing optimal Videl combos. She should be in the circus for how hard she juggles you.
I should mention that these aren't necessarily "optimal". They might be, but it's too early in the new patch to tell for sure. Then you get into weird character specific or assist specific combos. These are meant to be repeatable, (at least mostly) universal combos to help players new and old get going on the new patch. Thanks for watching!

I want to learn at least 1 decent combo with everyone on the roster and Videl has been tricky since her old loops got "patched" (I know they're still doable, but I dont have the patience to relearn the same combo with different timings.) I'm having a hard time hitting the H2H on midscreen bnb, its seems consistent on only bigger hitboxes, and you showcase all on Nappa. In the corner its fine tho.
The trick to putting jH in there is that you need to be basically touching the opponent when the combo starts. I mention this in the video, but you're also not the first person to have questions about it. Hope this helps!

@@PapaNick290 Yes, I was referring to the Midscreen BnB. I experimented with the combo for a couple hours was able to pull it off although not consistently. Instead of jcM after the first jH2H, I just dropped and re-jumped into the rest of the combo. The video was super helpful for a Videl beginner like me 👍

Are some of these combos character specific?
I'll say a soft no. Most of these combos are universal, especially with j236H enders. I will admit I haven't tried every single one with every single character, but most of the spots where characters with weird hitboxes(Krillin, 18, SS4 Gogeta) have been tested. You MAY have to tinker with some delay timings though.
do some of these only work on bigger bodies? i cant even get the 1st 5MMH SD combo to work consistently
Where is it that you're dropping exactly? If it's the first jcMH2H, try adding a bit of delay before the jM. If not there, what else seems to be giving you trouble?
@@PapaNick290 it's the H part of the first JmH so it's probably that I'm not delaying ill try that
In the 4:24 combo why doesn't the last 2H connect for me.

7:26 Combo, i can't got it consistent. Do you got any advice? (I struggle to get the last h2h, sometimes i just wont connect and i dont understand why)
This specific combo ender is one of the few times I WON'T say be lazy on button timings. For the final jLL you actually want to get the two hits off as fast as you can to negate the "autocombo vacuum". I hope this helps!

Remember that you can superjump by holding S. In this current patch, the timing is a bit different, but you can hold S while the animation for j2H is playing without actually getting a jS. In that way, you can have a superjump ready to go once you land.
