- Sonoma State University’s president was placed on administrative leave Wednesday for “insubordination” after sending out a campuswide message indicating agreement with Gaza war protesters. Ginger Conejero Saab reports.

The federal and state governments should IMMEDIATELY suspend any money for grants, scholarship and loans since divesting based on a religious preference is discriminatory and completely illegal.

Its definitely because of the massive death toll of innocent people and the horrible humanitarian crisis the idf and Israeli citizens are makeing worse by preventing aid from getting to the people who need it.

Every single human rights organization in the world including ones in Israel describe the conditions Palestinians live under as apartheid. Furthermore, the ICJ had an opportunity to dismiss the case brought by South Africa alleging genocide. They opted not to and instead allowed the case to move forward concluding that there is enough evidence to believe genocide is probable and even issued provisional measures for the accused to follow which they haven’t.

As Sonoma State President and President of the Board of Directors, Dr Lee did NOT have authority to sever academic ties with Israel, divest any school funds from any investment, disclose the school's portfolio, etc. He had no authority to commit Sonoma State to these terms. And it is ridiculous to posit that he was ignorant of those limits. Maybe he wanted to be fired?
