"This is the horrifying moment police arrested a 19-year-old who murdered a homeless man and stored his head in his closest. Brian Cohee, now 21, from Colorado, murdered 69-year-old homeless man Warren Barnes, in 2021. He is the subject of a shocking true-crime documentary Parents Discover Teen Son's Horrifying Secret on CZcams channel EXPLORE WITH US. The extremely gruesome crime saw Cohee decapitate, dismember and mutilate Mr Barnes's body before bringing some of the body parts home, where his mother found them. Alongside his head, Barnes hands were also discovered by Cohee's mother Terri, decomposing in a separate plastic bag that was stashed in his wardrobe. Cohee had tried to discard the rest of the body by putting it in the trunk of his car and attempting to drive the vehicle into the Colorado River." Yeah so sickđą
Parents, this kind of person will almost always show symptoms before they actually kill a human being..The âkitâ in his room, for example, was not taken seriously enough. CRUELTY TO ANIMALS AND KILLING THEM IS A SURE SIGN THAT SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG. IT CANNOT BE IGNORED. IT WILL ALMOST ALWAYS ESCALATE TO HUMAN MURDER. I donât know if his parents knew he killed the cat, but if they did, they let another sign go.

I thought the same when he said that. The video isn't quite over yet, but I'm assuming & hoping he gets life. He definitely deserves it. This is a very gruesome tragedy. That poor man.
I recall this case. He's evil. He thinks that he's the smartest person in the room, as they say. When he said he gave the victim a "Glasgow Smile", it made me so angry. He's a true psychopath. No regard for human life. Glad he's locked up for life, as persons of his caliber can't be rehabilitated and are a threat to the safety of others. Thanks, Christina!

It's very scary out here
That poor homeless man! He was loved so much by coworkers and other residents in that town. They instantly knew something was wrong.
Iâm so glad this kid parents did the right thing. A lot of parents would over protect their child and help hide everything.
â@doreenecloseexactly ppl just assume that when someone dies or gets killed "they were so loved" . Which may not be true
â@doreeneclose they didn't love him enough to help him get a place to sleep.
Iâm an auDHD patient as well as MDD. What Brian has is no empathy. He literally saw Warren as âtrashâ and said as much. He acted accordingly. I hope has has a terrible time in jail.
My son has the same diagnosis as this monster and my son is the complete opposite. He is always empathetic to others.
The differences is, Brian is a complete psychopath.
Trust me, he will absolutely have a terrible time in jail. As she should.
He will I'm sure until he grows up a little bit.
It's INSANE how casual he is to tell them as if hes talking about a football game.
The "Yeah you caught me, darn" behavior.
But also explaining everything as if he's mentally patting himself on the back.
Those detectives did amazing work in getting him to spill the beans so easily.
Like, HOW THOUGH!
SO glad your covering this story because I've been waiting for someone to shed light on this case.
Incredibly sad for the victim and the boys family as well. đ đ
Heâs on the spectrum, and given the behavioral patterns growing up, he likely never fully developed empathy which is important for them to learn early on. In their minds they have difficulty in processing otherâs emotions, let alone read those emotions. Unfortunately, he could have learned to adapt to society norms if he would have received attention and thorough treatment early on. This does not excuse the act and he should not go unpunished, but this is recognizable behavior for those of us who have dealt with Autistic people of different levels within the spectrum.
@@MNM-hx5rt naw, people on the spectrum have empathyâŠpsychopaths however, do not
@@MNM-hx5rthe knew what he was doing. He deliberately chose a vulnerable person. Why didnât he chose someone of his own strength that wasnât in a vulnerable position? He chose the homeless bc he thought he would get away with it and knew he wouldnât get away with it if it was someone else.
â@MNM-hx5rt This makes people on the spectrum look bad. He wasn't even on a high spectrum. He can communicate just fine. Autistic people feel empathy they just don't show it a lot. People need to quit blaming mental illness for someone who just enjoyed taking someone's life just for the thrill of it. He is just a gross human
Insane indeed!!
Iâm so irritated watching how nonchalant he is about everything he did! Ugghh how despicable!
I know but thatâs actually the autism believe it or not . I worked for a company that provided therapy for kiddos with autism and I learned a lot . Thatâs why he is so nonchalant
@@melaniegenay1044maybe that but he has evil spirits inside for sure
The flat affect is the autism but he definitely has a dark soul
Aspergerâs is like that
People saying this is ASD are wrong. Plenty of autistic people know murder is wrong. He's nonchalant because he's a psycho murderer, NOT because he's autistic.
When he rolled his neck, tilted his head, and said, âA HUMAN HEAD, AND HANDSâŒïžâ His tone was calm, yet evil⊠I got chills. What is in the water?! There so much evil, and no regards for human life. Stay safe everyone!

I am so glad he got life without parole. I am sick and tired of the damn insanity plea and furthermore, I am tired of Aspergerâs and Autism being used as a crutch for people to do anything they want. Iâm an RN in behavioral health and see this all the time and itâs total bs.
OH, I watched this entire interrogation and this is what you would call a full fledged "Psychopath".
I also saw some of Mom & Dad's as well, I couldn't imagine being in their shoes. I feel so bad for them.
I don't! They found his "kit" and did NOTHING!!!
â@@JR-lw3msThere really wasn't much the parents could have done. He was already receiving mental health care. If they notified the police, nothing but a report would have been taken. They probably wouldn't have been able to get him put in a mental health facility without his agreement. They could have thrown him out the house, but none of these things would have necessarily stopped him from commiting the crime. He wanted to do it, so he found a way. What I want to know is, what the hell was the therapist doing? He seems to like to talk, I can't imagine that he didn't present with major red flags for being a danger to others. The therapist probably dropped the ball.
@@monie2193 You hit the nail right on the head. The therapist should had seen these flags left and right and should've made the parent's know he may harm other people. So the parent's could had put him away in a hospital.

He got life, without parole I believe. I saw this on a other true crime channel. But had to watch Christinas take on it. I may be mistaken but I believe the other channel made a point about it.
Since he thought he was only getting 15 years. And because he was still a teen would still be young when he got out.
I also really hope he never gets out
If the cops thought that was blood on his trunk , why not investigate? It was suspicious. Late at night , boat ramp âŠ.red substance?

This is demonic.
Yes, it is. Did you catch that tattooed upside down cross behind his ear??
100% demonic. I was waiting for someone to comment this. The fact that he talks about it so nonchalantly and mentions he growled while committing the crime .. yes, definitely demonic. The Lord will deal with him accordingly.
I was going to say the same thing. Ephesians 6:12
His voice and demeanor changed when he said âa human head and hands.â So creepy. That boy is possessed. I couldnât even watch the whole thing. It was too sickening
Just came here to say the same! Demon possession đŻ Equally terrifying and sad.
All I can think about is the children that the mom watched in her home. I hope none of them were ever harmed đą
I feel like Mama knew deep down and the way she immediately turned in her child, I don't believe she ever let those babies alone with him.
This is what I kept thinking too but not many people were mentioning it. She ran a daycare, can you imagine how he behaved towards the kids if he was ever alone with them. He is the type of person who would try to scare them because he thinks itâs funny. POS.
When the cops asked, "how'd you get here". I thought he was going to say my mom brought me, then he said because I murdered someone. Dang, that was crazy.
I watched this with my mom on a Facebook crime page. It horrified both of us. The way he talks about what he did is sickening.
Itâs comical that he believed he would only get 15 years in prisonâŠ
Not really. I worked at a jail and Most of the sentences I've seen for murder are about 20 25, sometimes 30 and I've seen 8 before.
@@showusjustice523I think they meant more for the conduct of his specific crimes, and that he had the audacity to think he would only get 15 years.
Heâs the scariest kind of person. No remorse and not even worried about what would happen to him either.

Brian, youâre no Ted Bundy. Youre not anything special, either. Youâre not as clever as you think you are. You got caught quickly whether you confessed or not. I hope you somehow someday feel remorse for what you did. I hope you see Warrens face everyday for the rest of your life and it haunts you.
That mama breaks my heart. To find out your child is capable of something like that will forever break her heart†my prayers go out to them

I have grown up in Grand Jct and my kids went to school with Brian. Nothing about this case shocks me coming from him. The mental health in America is so over looked. He was a troubled boy and an even worse adult.
I'm on the Western Slope as well. This was unfolding as I had just moved to the area.
There frequently seems to be so many warning signs in these cases.
Woah thatâs crazy you knew him and can see how this all makes sense. Gotta trust our judgement about people
Do you know why he was so troubled?
I donât think Iâve ever heard any psychopath be this calm while talking about his killing usually theyâre quiet and those are the most disturbing and dangerous people to look out for.
I was just watching this on another channel!! I am so happy you covered it!
Being autistic, adhd, chronic depression GAD disorder myself, I could not fathom the thought of taking someone's life. The fact that he proudly states "A human head and hands" just sent shivers down my spine. That homeless man was beyond loved by his community and I am glad he got justice
Just like there are non-autistic people who are just as evil as this man. My autistic son is the most sweetest, gentle, loving person. So, I donât want people to think this is autism related. Not at all.
@@britneyog9537 Took the words right out of my head. I left a comment like this one where I was saying Please do not think that all austistic people are like this. Imho they did, by not reporting the mrdr kit, nor the knife, imho.
Actually the Mom glossed over alot with him over the years and didnt take much of what his teachers or counselors had to say about his behavior seriously. She made a lot of excuses for him. The way he laughs while talking about the disgusting things heâs done is truly disturbing..
I've watched other confession videos, the criminals usually show some sign of nervousness or discomfort. Brian was disturbingly comfortable and excited like you said. This was frightening.
Holy moly đł this is a freaking nutty crazy case!
My son has advanced and Asperger's autism therfore I can tell you neither one of those has anything to do with what this boy did. It's totally wrong to associate the actions of what this boy did with these 2 syndromes.
I think perhaps what people are implying is that he seems more disturbing than a neurotypical killer, who would display some mixed emotions, even if it was just nervousness for being judged. And he didnât display anything other than delight. So yeah, a killer with autism or Aspergerâs is a scarier person to witness for most people than a neurotypical killer
The way he went from nervous when he thought he could get busted, to the confidence in his voice when he said "a human head and hands," sent culls down my spine.
him describing how he murdered that poor homeless man like he was proud of it, was truly disturbing & disgusting. I could never imagine ending someoneâs life to begin with but then for him to not even show any remorse or guilt after the fact is just a whole other level of insanity.
So tragic that someone can even think that way. He even seems a little bit overjoyed when describing what he did. Unfortunately when he gets to prison it is not going to be an enjoyable existence.

Yeah. Warren had a whole life behind him before the rough times hit or he couldn't cope anymore. Who knows what his life was like? To think that someone saw a human living under a bridge and wrapped in a tarp and thought they could take his life because he was like trash is gut wrenching.
This kid is deeply, deeply disturbed!
What about people who are able to hack the cameras IN your house? It happened to one of my friend, a pervert was stalking her and her children for months. This is y I will never put cameras in my home. Outside my house is ok but inside never...
Those poor parents â€and the deceased
You speak and enunciate SO well! Not sure how much you've worked on your voice or if it just comes natural but it's very impressive and I just wanted to through a kind comment/critique your way đ. Excellent content and delivery my friend! đ©
The way he said that gave me chills !! His voice totally changed and he had zero emotion
GIRL!!!!!!!! Did you see the upside down cross behind his ear while he was in court????!!!! OMG! đ±
I noticed that too!!! Makes a LOT of sense he chose that
Did you hear what he did ? Is it not surprising he is following satan. Who else would he be? God dosent make people do thjs
An upside down cross is a St Peters Cross, a Christian symbol.
This one is definitely hard to wrap your mind around to say the least. SO unthinkable!!
Always makes my day when momma Christina posts â€â€â€
OMG me too!!!
HORRIFYING! I would love to know Brian Jr's reaction to his life wo parole sentence instead of the 15yrs he was expecting!?!?
Exactly my thoughts
He obviously knows right from wrong- he even said he wouldnt have done it if he knew what he was going to feel and what the consequences would be. Ugh, what a terrible human.
This is terrifying ⊠my son (9yrs old) was diagnosed with autism at 3rd old . He is very almost obsessive about things when he likes them⊠And this is my worst fear that you will get into something that is not healthy and will obsess about it. We have a lot of support for him and weâve done a lot of research to know how to handle those things, but my worst fear is something like this happening.
It sounds like you are doing such a good job! Carry on getting support, and being involved how you are, and if anything changes/something is off get evaluated as early as possible. Unfortunately only time will solve your fear but as someone with autism and ADHD , I think you are doing wonderful. Sending love â€
This isn't autism, this is a psychopath.
@@sunnyerienne thank you so much â€ïž
I loathe to say this, but my son has been so calculated and so convincing that it has scared the daylights out of me.
Search his possessions regularly to stay on top of things
Definitely have to stay active on that. Itâs hard to even think but I too have family that I had to be wary of. Sure enough, my gut instinct saved many lives.
Deliverance â@@AnastasiaBeaverhousen
Have you got him help or just announce your worry on here? Trust your gut if you think he's upto no good call the cops while you search his room or if they're old enough ask him to leave and change the locks.
â@@AnastasiaBeaverhousen an exorcism? In this day and age?? Wow!!
This is one of the most disturbing and disgusting cases I have ever heard. It's not often you hear of someone just so evil that plans to murder a complete stranger for absolutely no reason other than to see how it felt. Truely terrifying. Also Christina just FYI, the title spins Brain not Brian :)
We have a group of teens here in Kalispell that have targeted the homeless. They even murdered a homeless man and are now out running the streets again! It's sick what they've been doing! The murdered homeless man is 60 year old Scott Bryan! The main teen was bailed out and supposedly his court date is now scheduled for November. I did see that this one young man was recently arrested for underage drinking and driving!
His dad is a boat rental/raft rental for river rafting here in Colorado
Christina blessing us with these back to back videos. 40 min too?! I love it
Christina!! I love your videos! My ex girlfriend showed them to me, told me to stop watching you because you were her favorite CZcamsr but how can I stop when your videos are this good??
It takes an evil and disturbing person to do that. It's bad enough that the poor man was homeless but having to be murdered that way is sad
You have become such an incredible journalist. Your sincerity towards victims shines.
Journalist?! Wtfđ
This is very unsettling đź. And the fact that he thinks he will only get 15 years, is mind blowing
Bless that ladys heart! You can really tell she was worried about him đą
