    Thanks! A good and clear tutorial. How do I go from here to select and mask - refine edge etc?

      After you click make a selection and click ok to the make a selection setting. Select the Magic wand or Quick Selection tool, then from the tool option bar across the top, you should se Select and Mask.

    Anyone could suggest me? When I click Ctrl+Enter to make selection, entire background is getting select instead of the image

    When I go to make a selection, not only is the shape I trace around makes a selection, but around the outside of my canvas is selected as well. How do I ensure the canvas is not selected too? Thanks!

      @@toanthanh4771 You shouldn’t have to do that extra step though, and it used to select only the shape without having to select inverse

      Not sure what you are doing different. I just tested with the latest version of Photoshop and I have the Make Selection option.

      @@PhotoshopAmateur I'm on photoshop 2023. For some reason when I right click, I'm not getting the options. What I did was kept the pen tool selected after making the initial selection, then at the top left of the screen there is a small box, next to "path" that says make selection. That's how I ended up doing it

  • @EverettBloom

    Hi, do you know what the keyboard shortcut to make a selection is after closing the path? It used to work with ctrl + enter, but now you have to inverse the selection after doing that. Thanks in advance

      @SkidFlashys Před 3 lety +1

      It still is ctrl + enter. You need to go to the paths layer and ctrl + enter + click the path image on the layer

  • @NEET48

    Nah, ctrl + enter to make selection, shift + ctrl + i for inverse selection. Done.
