  • Discussing how good the players LeBron decided to team up with were right before they played with LBJ and/or how good they were with him. It is a big reason LeBron is moving down my all-time rankings, mainly due to the manner in which he decided to team up with them.

    I didn't finish the video before responding to that other comment
    AD is a monster and has like all other players had to sacrifice production to prop James up.
    On any other team AD would be the dpoy. AD is constantly dragged down so people don't realize that it's LeBron dragging Lakers down. Look just this playoffs they led Denver in all of the games. Problem was they had LeBron in the second half.
    Lakers also have 7 foot Jaxson Hayes on the bench for no good reason
    They had Austin Reaves who made the Olympic team on the bench as well. What is the point of having shooters and then limiting them to 5-10 shots a game?

      I appreciate the backup😂. But yes you’re absolutely right. It was honestly shocking to see how good AD did in 2020 and this year as well.
      And even this Lakers team is very good people don’t seem to get that you’re correct. They have more than enough talent to do well especially if Lebron is the GOAT like everyone says he is.

    So basically what you’re saying is you’re moving Lebron down your all time list because he played with other good players. That doesn’t make much sense considering that everyone in the top 10 played with other great players also. Is Lebron the only one who doesn’t deserve to play with other great players?

    • @krimezone
      @krimezone Před 28 dny

      It's too much fo get into. He didn't get his point across properly
      Imagine Jordan leaving the bulls to join Hakeem Olajuwon and Charles Barkley to win rings
      Imagine Bird joining Magic and Moses Malone
      Imagine Joker joining Luka and Giannis
      Think about how when KD joined the Warriors many considered his GOAT claim null and void
      If LeBron was as good as he and others claim be should have easily done what the others did and won withe their team. Nba draft puts talented players on the worst teams, that is, how its always been
      Lebron is the only great to win his first ring on a team he jumped to with a guy that was in the same draft class and won a ring already. Dwade won a ring without LeBron and before he did
      Lebron has always teamed up with basically who he is afraid to play against
      Anthony Davis is a top 5 player in the league and is also a man that led his team prior to joining Lebron
      Any time you take two top 10 players they win a championship. Pippen was never considered a top 10 player. Hakeem had no all stars let alone a top 10 player. Lebron played with Westbrook and Dwight Howard as well.
      He promised us more than 8 rings coz he knew the team was stacked and didn't even deliver that.
      Any other Greats joining a top 10 player would definitely deliver. Lebron leads teams in title only.
      AD leads the Lakers

      The response here sums it up but it’s just the manner in which he did it. The cavs fail two years straight partly due to lebron like in 2010 against the Celtics so he bails and teams up with studs. I mentioned how other greats played with great players as well it’s just that Lebron hand picks his teams and leaves at the first hint of tough times.

      @@krimezone The thing you fail to realize is that all those greats who stayed with the same team never had a reason to leave. Bird was drafted to a team that had Kevin Mchale, Robert Parish, Danny ainge, Dennis Johnson, Magic was drafted to a playoff team with the reigning MVP Kareem and later added James worthy and Byron Scott, Duncan was drafted to a Spurs team that was a powerhouse in the western conference all throughout the 90s with David Robinson and later added Parker, Manu, and Kawhi , Kobe was drafted to a playoff team that had Shaq, Eddie jones, Nick van exel. Now look at where Lebron was drafted to, a horrible franchise with mfers like Rick Davis and Darius miles on the roster, and they had failed to get Lebron a legitimate all star after 7 long years. After Shaq left Kobe was demanding a trade after only 3 seasons so imagine having to carry a subpar roster for 7 seasons. All Lebron did was take his fate into his own hands and utilized free agency to give himself the same luxury that the greats before him had. I don’t know why this is bad thing to you people.

    • @GBHOOPS35
      @GBHOOPS35  Před 28 dny

      @@jaydot4956 yes you’re right and I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing as I said: players want to win in the NBA and Lebron gave himself the best chance to do that that’s alright. It’s just that the team clearly wasn’t that bad if they made a finals and won 66 and 61 games in 2009 and 2010 respectively. I totally understand that other greats had better situations but he was only 24-25 years old those years so there was a lot of time (not to mention they should’ve made the finals at the very least in 2009). At the end of the day, it’s not a terrible thing, but it just is kind of a hit to his legacy as opposed to guys like Dirk and Hakeem who stuck around and won titles for their teams even after having great regular seasons and falling short. If he stayed in Cleveland he almost certainly wins at some point, considering he was so young in his MVP years.

    I really do not understand why you are moving him down. This video really didn't give a reason for why you are doing it now. He's been the same POS and building the same kind of teams that do everything to prop him up for well over a decade. Why now move him down? He should have never been up there in the first place. AD is what made you realize lebron is trash?

    • @GBHOOPS35
      @GBHOOPS35  Před 28 dny

      I’ve never really looked at him favorably for doing that stuff, but I always thought his talent and stats were good enough to justify him being ranked high. However, the more I thought about what he’s done the less I respect him, stats aside. This video was kind of about me realizing these players he hand picked to play with were so damn good and maybe even better than him like AD. Better late than never!

    • @DarknessFlameMedia
      @DarknessFlameMedia Před 28 dny

      @@GBHOOPS35 He basically just has longevity stats. He really wasn't that impressive even in his prime compared to the players who are actually great, Like the dude was never better than bird and he still isn't. Took him 20 years in the league to get 1 more ring (if you count that fake ring) than what Bird did in his short career. Like it really was never a debate for him to be in the top 5. So where exactly are you moving him down to? Like in your top 20 or where exactly. This video certainly wasn't the kind of video I was expecting to watch based on the title.

    • @GBHOOPS35
      @GBHOOPS35  Před 28 dny

      @@DarknessFlameMediaI agree with most of that. His longevity stats shouldn’t be a positive factor for him cuz ur right it took him so long just to do what bird, magic, mj did in way less time. Not sure I’d say he was never in the debate for top 5, though. His talent is kinda overrated, however, and I think guys like bird and Hakeem probably had more skill than him. Not sure exactly where I’d place him off the top of my head but definitely behind the guys I just mentioned among others. Sorry to mislead you with the title, I’m trying to be better at getting my point across and I’m not sure I was explicit enough this video (may make a follow up).

    This is the dumbest take ever. Most “stars” hes played with were vets way past their prime. Kyrie didnt even average 20 in 2016. Bosh averaged like 17 and 7 at the heat, wade averaged like 22/4/5. Shaq, dwight, russ, melo, drose were all mad washed when he played with then

The point is they are one year removed from absolutely monster seasons so they’re still the same player, they just have to accept a smaller role. @@NorthWestie yeah that’s true I do think he was still very good in 2013 but 2014 certainly was slowing down. My point was more about how good they were at the time Lebron teamed with them bc he clearly didnt see himself staying with the heat or Cleveland the second time for very long he just wanted to get rings (which is fine everyone wants rings but he can still get criticized for it when it comes to people’s ranking).
