How to Layer Vinyl Decals on Cricut the EASY WAY!

Layering adhesive vinyl on projects can be tough. I know, it was hard for me when I first started attempting layered vinyl projects. You try to line up everything just right, but it’s always off by just a hair and then before you can pull it back up and adjust it, it’s stuck and the design is ruined. It can be so frustrating. But, it doesn't have to be that way! I can teach you how to layer vinyl on Cricut! There is a really cool hack that practically guarantees perfect placement every single time. That is exactly what I will show you. It's actually a lot easier than you might think and it will save you so much time and material!

I have always had trouble layering my vinyl. You make it look so easy. So now I going to try layering my vinyl using your parchment paper trick. Thank you for showing me this trick.
You can do it!
Thank you SO much! I am newly retired and thought about making various projects with our Cricut Maker 3 (upgrade from a 2-week-old explore Air 2). The most helpful aspect of your production is the use of Standard grip transfer tape (didn't know there were options!), the use of parchment paper to aid in aligning the layers (absolutely useful) and lastly, the use of registration marks.
My first attempt at layering was a complete disaster! I used permanent vinyl and strong transfer tape. You know what the outcome was! Without the parchment paper and standard grip transfer tape, the second layer adhered to the first and there was no coming back from that! Thanks again for all the work you are doing to make this hobby enjoyable.

Golly Gee! I just worked along with you to do a three color Christmas design. Since it is a larger design for a door hanger I used two star registration marks on each layer. I have the parchment paper and I am now ready to cut everything out first thing in the morning. You make it so simple and easy to follow along. Thank you so much.

Thanks for this video. I just bought the Maker 3 and it is my first cutting machine that I can use for svg files. My old Cricut just used cartridges, which tells you how old it is. I'm new to vinyl and transfer tape and so i thank you for showing me how the tape is used. I'm feeling overwhelmed, but hopefully will be able to figure everything out in time. yes, this is amazing I don't know how to layer I think a method is transfer tape? but I had some issues w/the print then cut I got a new Cricut explore but I LOVE CRICUT!!:)

heyy!! likeiwse, i have also came across my fair share of cricut tutorials..not a single 1 grabbed me & my attention as much as yours. like someone said, your pace, clarity & range of options was the icing on the cake for making me press "subscribe"! i wish i could upload a pic of my finished product to show you what i was able to pull off! i uploaded a font of my choosing, made 3 layers much like you explained how to do in design space, layered with parchment paper AND registration marks (not all at once, separately between layers) because i wanted to try both ways - and it looks amazinggg!!! cant hardly wait to put it on my car window! and like someone said, i could TOTALLY see you on your own show on like HGTV or something like that!! I don't know why I did not know the trick to attach layers in Cricut Design Space but I didn't and thank you so much for sharing that it will be a time saver for me. I apply the vinyl onto each layer myself but I'm going to try the parchment paper method, that seems fool proof. Thanks for another great video!
