Bro I feel you, I'm easily an above average player having anywhere from 2-2.5kd every season (not that it means to much) but solo skill wise I'm good, and I'm getting absolutely destroyed on console right now, like yesterday I Path Q'd like idk 200m to a ledge on Storm point, and went to peak it as i heard fighting below me, soon as i did i got pre aimed and shot at, I was like "How the fuck did you even know i would peak that!?!" He had no sound cues because I was nowhere near close to that team for it to exist and he couldn't have seen me because the cliff was out of their vision.
And I'm getting absolutely BEAMED in general games but when I spectate them they miss 80% of their shots on the next couple of people they fight, like what is going on 😂

Me too I used to have 16 - 18 kills every match now Im getting 1clip 250dmg. I dont even have time to see the guy ! I left Apex after 5 years.
Yeah me and my fiancé met on apex. We love the game. We used to play for a few hours and get a few wins easily, each with 1.k-2.5k and at least 4-5 kills each. Hell, we got 7 wins in a day with 4 back wins on start.
We thought we were rusty since we quit ranked but I do not think that is it. Now, even when we don’t hot drop and we loot quickly and efficiently and rotate well, we get clapped on sight by a crack head pathfinder swinging across the map like Tarzan at light speed. Very frustrating. We moved on to Warzone. Got to plat second day we ever played ranked.
Apex has been dying for 5 years, still here. But ea pulled a big brain move and firing a lot of respawn staff, you know, from the thing that makes them the most money. Absolutely brilliant corporate move. No wonder it took them 5 years to add a "queue again" button, but only for an LTM that got deleted after 2 weeks.
I'm assuming that's sarcasm , but idk bc I can dish it but can't understand others 😅if it is I agree ea would rather line their pockets more than having fair pay for devs with creative freedoms while giving the fans a more enjoyable game, the revalant ltm really made me hate Apex ngl

The comp scene is definitely dying. There’s no consistency when they decide to completely rework the game every few months or make changes that no one asked for and on top of that the cheaters are out of hand. (Think about the games in esports that are doing well, they have very consistent gameplay.) Unless they actually fix the cheating problems with the game then tell me what the point of playing is.

Cheaters are in pubs too. Cheaters just want easy kills to try and buff their character, because in geeksville having a top level k/d is supposedly what gets you noticed. F'ing losers, all of them.
"People leave when they dont get there legend" - I have to add that Respawn thinking it's a good idea to make Legend specific challenges that give you unlocks was a bad idea. I see a ton of people instaquitting if they don't get whatever Legend is currently on some challenge thing (Seer, Fuse, Rampart, Mad Maggie...).
I know: People have plenty of time to do these things. But still effectively every match you don't get to do progress on aforementioned Legend to get those unlocks, is wasted time for some people who *only* want those Wraith and Flatline skins and nothing else. There's still plenty of people who don't but the Battlepass mainly because a lack of time, playing other videogames or having "enough" of stuff.
Example given: This Battlepass gives 4x R-99 skins. People already have 50 x R-99 skins... They don't need another one.
That happens when they see their favourite streamers do that, they try to copy, fail and insta leave! After all the "movement" streamers and all that shit, people played better, remember that!

Make it Duos/Trios , Classic BR, Ranked and Mixtape (which should switch between different / more LTMs!)
Would be a new fresh experience. Everyone loved Straight Shot. I played it with friends who gave up on Apex. It just felt like the next step for Apex.
I think it's because it was actually fast paced. Apex would rlly benefit from something like the gulag, to up the intensity
I uninstalled yesterday. I'm consistently having to avoid gun fights because of phoney teams. GR and TDM are unplayable. It's starting to get old. I might reinstall before the season ends. I simply just don't have the team or mental fortitude to play this game in it's current state. I do enjoy watching you dust cheaters though.

every season I'm on the same loop but when straight shot, ff7 event, and 3 strikes were in the game i played a lot, now I'm struggling to finish the battle pass as I hate battle royal and mixtape.

No new content besides skins that aren't even designed well anymore. EA sacking loads of Respawn devs. 300$ or more heirlooms they're introducing. Sh1tty events. Still audio problems along with bad servers & matchmaking. I miss old Apex so much, when it was still new and fresh. I was a Fortnite hater (played Fortnite when it came out for a bit), but now I'm willing to play it because it's just pure fun.

You can say "bad matchmaking" but the truth is that if matchmaking were truly random, most players in public matches would never get a win and they would quit. If you're good at the game, you get stuck having to play with bad players all day.
Wait... they just revamped the whole game with the changes in season 20 (armor cores, crafter, perk system, digi-threats...) and the ranked system and matchmaking finally makes sense (took them way too long) plus they are putting out LTMs and events basically every month but still crying about the devs don't do anything? (Cheaters are a problem in any online game)

I’m having such a hard time. Pubs people drop hot and quit instantly. It forces me to play ranked which is sooo sweaty in plat II. It’s either pubs and both teammates quit or sweaty ranked. I know this will never happen but I would love a penalty in pubs. I love this game but I’m stuck. Just so stuck.

I actually ran into my first 9-man squad just rolling the entire lobby. Never before have i been so mad at a game. Like i lost due to multiple teams teaming with each other, in a battle royale... It's absolutely crazy even worse that it's in D3 lobbies
Ever since EA lost the contract to porsche, which fed all the Need for Speeds and fed their pockets. the company as a whole was always trash. It's just starting to catch up with them now.

I haven’t played in over 2 years, I watch to support Lulu and to get a glimpse of the game. It never changes my mind. Looks worse than when I stopped, so you’re right and wrong. People are still playing but the game isn’t as enjoyable which leads to people not playing anymore.

@@coreybroussard5264it’s season on steam player count only reaches 220k-260k players all time. Twitch viewers average around 40k. Idk about console player count but on pc it’s considered dead.

i feel like i face alot of cheaters, then i see them just botch another fight missing everything, just to realize i was to close fighting against .6 aim assist being super juiced by setting that can be looked up by any player looking for more advantage. anybody lower than masters/diamond shouldn't really expect an actual cheater late into the season either
I got back into it with the Rev update but stopped cold turkey right after that season and after all these new updates it doesn’t really make me want to come back

If you make it to the top level in apex youll only hit a wall of cheaters and the onlt way to get past that wall is to become a pro and have a pro team

I switched to pc last year in March and haven’t touched apex fully since. It’s so sweaty and it’s not even casual anymore it’s just cheater, sweats, teaming it’s annoying and I’m glad I stopped playing
Casual? According to the devs in 2019 APEX Legends was designed to be a 'hardcore' shooter. Not sure where you got the idea that APEX was, or was ever designed to be, a casual game.

Sbmm/obmm or whatever they use is also killing it. No good events, same game in and out, long updates, no audio on footsteps, boring in general after years, cheaters AKA strike packs, zens, zims, aimbot/wallhacks, expensive skins, no new maps, barely any new guns, barely any new modes at all, the ability to not pick what mode you want (for example only playing control or tdm and excluding gun game). It's just a dead game, and they refuse to make it better for the casual player that wants to hop on for some fun. Also a side note, lack of challenges to go for that are fun, at least cod did it right in the sense you can do gun challenges to unlock skins etc, but why is it you have to get intervals of 20s to do challenges with the smallest reward.

Hackers and EOMM fine-tuned to the point that it augments hitboxes and ping to prioritize and deprioritize whoever needs their relative W and L that match. EOMM is not as effective in BRs but they all use it. The finals is particularly bad for it, considering how you can go from missing every shot to dominating the leader board after a sudden, somewhat imperceptible change mid-match. I remember when Apex started using it, because the lobbies became increasingly toxic. Same shit with OW2 vs OW1 (early- on OW1).
I completely stopped playing ranked, mainly due to getting a consistent bot teammate every match. I have more fun playing pubs than ranked 😂
Yes, these type of games ABSOLUTELY require you to have a pre-made squad. It is dang near impossible to find good teammates through the game it self. It's like trying to find diamonds. Hell they even took out their terrible "Clubs" feature... 😅🤦🏾♂️

i play on ps4. i get random crashes one out of 10 games and 6, 9 or 12 man teams in ranked killing entire lobbies (8 squads before ring 1 closes in diamond/ pred lobbies). its getting so boring

I uninstalled in January and seeing the whole ALGS stuff was upsetting. No one looks like they enjoy the game anymore but I don't blame them.

Game is at an all time high for concurrent player count sense release, that number has only increased sense this season released but yet some how "Apex is dying"
Maybe this "high current player count" are mostly the bots that hackers use to boost them up? It doesn't really check if they are actively playing so you can lots of companys making hundrets of accounts to level them up and sell them or boost them up in ranked and then sell them.
Could also be Accounts that are for backup in case a cheater gets banned.
That would atleast explain why i need to fight the top 1% of the player base in almost every game when i am just a casual player myself that plays for fun. I have no interest in sweatting in for hours, just to get destroyed by no-lifers or cheaters.
Watching this right after ALGS gets called off because it gets compromised and multiple top players have cheats turned on by a 3rd party that they can't control... but hey atleast the store works right?
I haven't played since like season 2-3, but been watching content regularly. I decided to try it again, but I'm not sure if I should really waste my time playing. Cheaters have been an issue for as long as I can remember, audio is such A$$, and neither of these issues are being fixed. Instead they want to push out $300 reskins.
I'm also not used to playing on computer so I'm still re-learning my keybinds, recoil control, and movement without being all fatfingered on my keys lol.

I play on console so idk how bad the cheating is on PC. Is it really that bad? Because i have played in pc lobbies with a friend of mine and when i get lit up i chalk it up to " theyre just massive with the mouse and keyboard"
i cant lie, theres been a high increase in russian players on apex, and at the same time, most of them use cheats too, and i guess we all know what happened to cs go because of them...
once we were in a rank up match, best position of all 4 last teams, and the hacker team was above us on the bridge, they failed the pathfinder hook and fell from the bridge, 1 second away from getting squad wiped.... they crashed the whole server...

did you know that russians come to american servers in order to play with fewer cheaters? Even with a high ping, European servers are full of cheaters and no one bans them as quickly as in America. And I’m wondering how you determine that a player is from Russia)
@@PinkRabbit8 well thats what im sayin, im nkt saying that ALL russians are cheater, thats just a dumb statement, what i said is that with the increase of russian players in other servers of a game, the cheaters that the good russian players try to get rid of, also move to other servers. Saying that all cheaters are russians or all russians are cheaters is plain dumb, there are good players and cheaters, but 9 out of 10 games i get russian players in my team when i play solo, how do i mnow they are russian? They use the microphone...
Also most cheaters i see, have either russian names or speak in russian...

Ive been done with apex...the way people play this game is so toxic. Then they removed tap straffing and i was just done. The Finals is my main game now lol.
To be fair they removed tap strafing from controller bc of people using configs which was the right move lol they need to incorporate a legit way to tap strafe with controller in game.

Overall, the development model has led to this "dying" phenomena. Respawn is investing more time into boring cosmetic events that often feature recolors of existing skins, and temporarily put in old gamemodes or sometimes create new ones with little excitement. Matchmaking seems to have a host of problems, especially with the ranked level being lowered and the rank limitations (who you can play with) being removed altogether. While the development cycle of video games is complicated, I can't see how anyone would look at this model and think the game would survive more than 5 years.
Considering this video dropped hours before the entirety of NA ALGS just got hacked, sad to say we may actually finally be witnessing the death of Apex.

@goose6619 i play pubs and this season has been pretty good for me matchmaking wise. If you told me this in season 16 which was the last season i played before this i would agree coz every second player has laser aim. I needed a 3 season break after that bs.

Ea freed me from their grasp when i reported ramparts pink ranger recolor being incomplete for months it would show up visually for the player as the original color. They gave me a 24 hour ban for it and said it was cause i was discriminating against groups of people?
