    With utmost respect to bhai Jagraj ji, I want to adress a matter where other religions and cultures are being imposed on us.
    One example I have is of myself when I took Amrit I was criticised by my relatives to have my hair down in style but still be Amritdhari because I was a “GIRL” and girls are supposed to be a product of beauty (western culture) and nothing to do with naam simran (sanatan matt).
    I was told by a neighbor to not indulge in Khande bate da amrit just because I have to get married later in life and finding a “MAN” would be impossible (punjabi culture).
    I was also sent home from work just because I was an amritdhari now in Melbourne because I was to be seen as an Islamic person by the guests in that hotel I worked in (Islamophobic culture).
    Later when I was applying to another job I was considered a threat to society because I wear kirpan.
    I tell you by experience when you say to Guru Sahib to help you fight these battles, they are ready with you.
    I am grateful to Guru Sahib that I won all these above mentioned criticisms by just believing in the strenght of my Guru Saheban.
    Sikhi is wonderful just amazing.

IF the explanations of Gurbani in our channel help you to connect to SatGuru, the Truth our Gurus brought, then thats great. If you're not getting it at the Gurdwara then get it where you can, but dont ever leave Guru for someone else. Well, kirtan is meant to be sung, even better in Sangat. So sometimes just the feeling in the sangat of singing along can be very powerful. Using software like SIkhitothemax (even on our smartphones) we can understand kirtan and also it used to be the case that kirtan included katha (ie explanations).

      +Onwards to truth Fear is good, as told in Asa Di Vaar "Nanak Jin Man Bhau Tina Man Bhao". Now make use of the fear to remember God daily, taking one step everyday towards Vaheguru.
      If you can't do it alone then find satsangat! That'll surely help. Or if you can't recite then at least you can listen to baani while working on daily chores. This way you'll start memorizing some of the baani and probably start singing it during work.

    If my dad watched these videos, he'd feel threatened and curse you out. Most of what you're saying is opposite in spirit to everything he ever taught me about being a proper Sikh. I don't think you probably realize how much what you say flies in the face of what most Sikh kids were taught growing up (was it just me and my weird family?). That's also why I left them cause I found all the fakeness and weird moralistic Nazism to be very dark and unhuman. I feel like the past couple of days have been magic. I've been watching these and I feel like I have a whole new reason for everything. I don't even care if you read it. It's true.

    Considerate participation in the dialogue is what the comment section is for, instead comments made are intended to demonstrate a "linguistic vigour" for and on behalf of the author who has themselves chosen to "view" the video. Sikhism has a lot of scientific knowledge problem is we look for trends within our scriptures after they are discovered rather than putting forward theories in advance. Hopefully the new Sikh universities will start to become more proactive.

    I have been an atheist and I am trying to learn about Sikhi and Gurbani before totally denying the existance of God and so I have been watching your videos and I have really learned things about Sikhi that I didn't know before and few things are really interesting. The most interesting thing that struck me was that, you say that we can actually experience God, that makes me really interested. But still there are questions in my mind and I feel like I can't actually start to believe 100% untill these questions still remain in my head unanswered and nobody around me has answers to them as on trying to ask them they tell me to just believe and not ask questions, so I hope you might help me.
    I understand that the human being has to go through incarnation and this cycle of 84 lakh life forms and that this is our chance to get to meet God back. What I don't understand is, if God (creator) wants us to remember his name so that we can get back to him/meet the one, then why does he send us to earth in the first place?

      +Ðilpreet Singh Glad to hear the videos are helping bro. its a good question. Imagine if a child asked the parents why are we going on holiday when we are going to return home anyway? The parent is likely to answer that the journey is the part of the fun. This separation and the our discovery of God and eventual meeting with God is the reason this whole world was created, otherwise there is no need for creation.

      +Basics of Sikhi I am mathematician and theoretical physicist, what you are telling is not Science. Buddha denied the existence of a Creator and soul. Laplace(Mathematician) predicted blackholes even before anybody else.

    • @vjagpal
      @vjagpal Před 8 lety +3

      +Higgs Bosons As far i understand, Buddha is just quite on the subject of God by neither accepted nor rejected it. And reason was that he wanted his followers to experience and ultimate nature of self and call it whatever they wanted (God/Ultimate self/Boddhicitta). This is why Buddhist focus so much on meditation. Denial of Creator and soul also refers to denial of ego and go beyond self where line between self and existence is removed. From Sikhi point of view that is merging with God.
      On the other hand, Science can not prove or disprove existence of God but may create a formula for anything based on logic.

    • @gurpartaps
      @gurpartaps Před 8 lety

      +Navjot Singh Rajput +Navjot Singh Rajput that is what we can't find out. We are the only judgement. We judge ourselves, the Granth sahib says that mann Tu jot Saroop hai apna mool pehchan, which is that man you are God yourself, know your worth. The fact that we consider humans as the only beings capable of rational decision or making a good or bad choice is an observation we make from our plane of existence. If you see by removing the thought that only man is capable of experiencing God, you find him to be even the least evolved species. Evolution and creation are all his creations on which we can gain knowledge of how it works but can't answer why.Science, positivism can answer how species evolve or how the cosmos is created by postulating theories on grounds of rationality and logic, but the why question, the purpose of life cannot be derived through the premise of positivist empiricism. Just like a lightbulb cannot throw light at itself,the human mind cannot know why it is there

The mind is a bad thing that's the thing that wants you to forget about god and is the part of u that is selfish and if you defeat your mind u will be happy and be able to meet god and the mind will make me change and slowly and convince me to not get armit chuck and its been a while now and the part of me that was so eager to get amrit chuck is fading away and i'm going to try my best to not let my mind get the better of me.

    The Western world likes to tout all these humanistic ideals, like gender equality and religious tolerance, because our law was established after secular theory, but this is a more recent development than people like to admit and there is still a threat, specially from evangelical christians, of losing our freedoms. Unfortunately maintaining peace and dignity is something we need to fight for constantly.

      Debayan Basu HINDUISM OPPRESSES WOMEN! AFTER YEARS ON STUDYING DIFFERENT RELIGIONS I HAVE ACTUALLY COLLECTED QUOTES ON HOW HINDU WOMEN HAVE NO RIGHTS! “Her father guards her in childhood, her husband guards her in youth, and her sons guard her in old age. A woman is not fit for independence.” Manusmriti 9.2-3
      - “After the death of her husband, a woman should preserve her chastity or ascend the pyre after him.” Vishnusmriti 25.14, they literally tell women to burn themselves if their husbands die!
      -“Women are powerless, have no inheritance, and speak more humbly than even a bad man. Krishna Yajur Veda Taittiriya Samhita” 6.5.8.2
      - A woman is impure by her very birth; but she attains a happy state by serving her lord (husband)". Tulasi Ramayana Aranya Kanda, 5 A-B
      - “a women is a torch which lights her way to hell”
      - Hindu women conserve fasts for the husband and son, what can be more hypocritical than that?!
      - They have to remind their brothers to protect them by tying a thread on them each year, whereas Sikh women have learned to protect themselves!
      This is oppression and please don’t glorify it, they can’t even pray, or sometimes stay in the house if they’re menstruating. Guru Nanak Dev Ji has said whoever calls a women impure have the filthiest minds
      - Plus how is he anti-feminist when YOUR religion is anti-feminist. When hindu women were locked up inside, Sikh women were on the battlefield defending land against the mughals alongside the men!
