- The #VersaceSS22 collection is built from Versace’s iconic silk foulard.
“The foulard is a fundamental component of Versace’s heritage and character. It’s acted as a canvas for our iconic prints and is worn in multiple ways from knotted tops to headscarves to bag accessories, it’s a way of adding Versace attitude to any look. The foulard has been with us since the very beginning of the brand, but this season turns everything on its head, it is no longer fluid or dreamy, the scarf is provocative, sexy, wound tight.” Donatella Versace
The transformational nature of the scarf means it can become anything, from billowing shirts to sexy, shrunken-fit dresses. Combined with iconographical prints, the designs feel thrown together, unfinished and unpolished. It’s as if the pieces have been ripped apart and rapidly stitched back together again.
Slashes in the garments are haphazardly fastened together by the brand’s iconic Safety Pins. Modernized in a selection of vibrant colors, the Safety Pins become both functional fastening and bold embellishment. Scarves tightly wrap the body and are punctuated by seemingly randomly placed hardware. A textural diversion comes in the form of sleek latex dresses, tops and skirts in a shocking palette.
Ornate prints are a defining feature of the Versace foulard. This season there’s a celebration of brand code La Greca, as well as fresh designs. Royal Rebellion presents crowns and crests in bold colorways, and Banquet Aftermath features dishes and cutlery from the Versace Home collection - the cutlery is also translated to knife and fork jewelry. Acid Bouquet is Versace’s answer to spring florals and is characteristically unromantic in clashing acid tones.
Menswear also stems from the foulard and presents relaxed, loose-fit pieces in printed silk. A fundamental principle of Versace menswear is the silk shirt, which originally evolved from the printed scarf. Relaxed shirting and pajama sets are clashed against form-fitting activewear, skintight latex and flirty handkerchief tops. Sharp tailoring is presented in fluo tones of yellow, orange, pink and blue.
New silhouettes and shades are introduced to the La Medusa handbag line, including a large open tote and a drawstring-top bucket style, both with embedded chain details. There are also new colorways of the La Greca Signature line. Scarves are attached to handles and draped from bags, tying the accessories line-up to the vibrant foulard-inspired collection.

I love how Naomi takes her time and really shows off the outfit...what an icon. Happy for Dua as well.
That’s the 90s supermodel walk, it never goes out of style and Naomi always carried herself very well with her walk, the control of her movements with poise and elegance she knows the pace to walk and she knows how to walk for each outfit. Her and yasmeen ghauri always walked according to the outfit and their movements were coordinated and not rushed or too slow or mismatched. I think they’ve got the best walks in history
She gave a long gap so we could appreciate that walk
Runway for herself as it must be. Her genes should be world heritage.

can we talk about the fact that Miss Campbell is 51 years old and she still did a million times better than everyone who was there!
She did better because she is experienced. Other models will learn with time. Everyone is doing a great job thats why they are in VERSACE show. Also Naomi has some freedom on her walk, others have to do it how the people tell them to do it.
@@ruvedita8412 lemme tell you something you prolly already know but do not want to admit it, all these modern models are doing absolutely bad and are not giving much effort into their craft. I don't know if it's because they are "instagram models" and so they are already rich or anything, but runaways are only boring now that they bring dead walks without any fire and energy on stage. With Naomi, Tyra, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana you found yourself being naturally captivated and just getting goosebumps because they showed so much personality on stage maan.
She was breath taking. I saw her come on the runway and was elated. I wish she’d been able to do more than one look. That would have been great.

Yeahh great injustice put a Gigi in each opening with her awful walk when others models like Imman have incredible amazing walks and fierce presence. It's the power of marketing does...... choice to the model with the most instagram followers and not to the best model. Sadly industry. ( what is wrong with gigi's head? She moves it a lot and she walks like dua: awful but dua is not a professional model but gigi?)

I love all the different patterns and fabric textures. The color combinations are bright vibrant and cheerful. I absolutely love the diversity of the models. Now this is one incredible fashion collection on the whole. The music and the beautiful art on the runway.

Versace does it again, the show shows a cascade of vibrant colors, against dark backdrops, much like the emergency from a chrysalis, it encourages us to move on from the dark space the world has been in since covid, and to start bringing the bright back into our lives. The Versace stapels of black , silver and golds are still there, with vibrant accessories that scream "bright is right, it's fun, come on!" Get out there and move on to better things. Great collection
Walking for Versace will be a dream either closing, starting or in the middle! Just relieved that they have great pieces.
