Oklahoma is chocked full of exceptional artists. John is a favorite of mine. May I also suggest Seth Lee Jones, Paul Benjamin, Jacob Tovar, Jared Tyler, Jesse Aycock, Dustin Pittsley just to name a few….
Great work, impressive and insprational. First heard him yesterday on Praire Home Companion. Knocked me out. Major talent with his head on straight, it seems. Funny, smart, observant and sensitive. I'd wish him good luck but he doesn't need it. I've been listening pretty hard for 55 years. This guy has the goods. I'm going to spread the gospel about him.
MrMusicguyma i heard him on Prairie 'home Companion yesterday for first time and tuned in today for rebroadcast so I could learn who he was. very talented!
Doghouse Riley sent me here a couple days ago. Since then, I've watched each of his videos multiple times and bought "From the Ground Up". It has been nonstop John Fullbright around here for 2 days and I haven't heard a single complaint from the wife or kids.
Just heard this on Iheartradio. April 2020 quarantine isn't so bad with music like this. House sitting in CO with a country backyard and hot cup of tea.
As far as I'm concerned he should win a Grammy just for this performance! One of my favorites I've ever heard anywhere. There is another video of him performing this song with a variation on the beat and it's equally badass. John Fullblues!! You da man brother! ;)
frank begbie not biebers fault, he wants to be loved like everybody else. moguls call the shots on who gets the attention. bieber quits, they find another one
Nick Towne ya think.? At least my wife and I have seen him intimately twice out here Steamworks in Salina Co, and he gave us an interview for our radio station here in Pueblo. We play all his tunes. “ lve seen stars before” one of his best works. We can only be glad we know of him.
Saw him last night in Austin with Gretchen Peters, Barry Walsh, Andy Hardin, and Jimmy LaFave. He's a stunning performer/writer. Played guitar, piano, harp, and accordion! Amazing talent. First CD out May 3 - the plan.
We have his Siberian blue cat via my best friends, Brad, way too soon passing... His name is Jericho! John Brad loved all you guys at Woody Fest and the band camp. Best believe that was what he looked forward to every yr! Love and miss ya Brad.
My brother just sent me a link to this vid and said hey this is my friends cousin, listen to it all the through. He had to tell me this cuz I'm a metal head and wouldn't have LOL. I was not disappointed! Great singer, great song! This is going on my playlist ❤ not my metal playlist fyi lol
I can't remember the last time i got so MUCH out of a new act. This guy really knows how to story tell and boy does he know how to play and sing! 4.25 well spent.
heard him about 8 years ago on a local NPR station unlocked doors great tune was in Tulsa last summer regret not driving the 100 miles to go see him but had to press onward to New Mexico did how ever visit the Woodie Guthrie Center when I was in Tulsa
been listening to his fantastic new album - which I heard about on Fresh Air while driving through Oklahoma. Wow! It's almost all I been listening to since (well unless the mood is wrong) because this is a strong album. Extremely confident writing and playing. Unbelievable he is so young. Only downside is there is no back catalog to dive into.
The man has skills. Central Oklahoma is my home, my country. Eastern Oklahoma is a beautiful sight. Northern Oklahoma might as well be Kansas. Never go to Southern Oklahoma at night. That’s very good advice Southern Oklahoma is sketchy as hell.
@TheRiversOwn No need to be rude.... I saw John in the Netherlands and he's great, surely for his age, but come on: compared to Dylan he's still got some things to prove!
John has more soul in his little toe than Lady Gaga has in her entire body. This is real music from the soul and in my opinion what music is all about. Listen feel and learn.
Or they could just watch some other video that they do like. Not everyone likes the same things, and that's ok. If you're going to get cranky at everyone who doesn't like the things you do, you're not going to have much time for anything else.
Really don't see what the big deal is about this guy. A friend asked me to go check him out. I guess the local music is so bad that this guy stands out! Ha! He is a decent acoustic guitar player and vocalist. I will give him that. It sure sounds like he is trying to sound like someone else. Like some Mississippi blues guy. Who knows.
The great thing about music is that 20 minutes ago I'd never heard of John Fullbright, and now I'm hooked.
Oklahoma is chocked full of exceptional artists. John is a favorite of mine. May I also suggest Seth Lee Jones, Paul Benjamin, Jacob Tovar, Jared Tyler, Jesse Aycock, Dustin Pittsley just to name a few….
Holy mother of God he's phenomenal. I've got chills.
Enough to make a man wanna up and move to Oklahoma. Keep it coming, John. You are phenomenal.
We are the secret music capital of the world. Don't tell anyone!
Some sketchy shady shit does happen in the southern darkness
Gravel in a young voice and Blues at his fingertips....He's got 'all the time in the world' and he sings like he's lived an age already ....brill
wow, he's young, got all the time in the world to make more great music and albums, thanks for the gift of your great songs.

Tom "Tiny" Skinner...
Man! This boys got soul.
Just heard this on Iheartradio. April 2020 quarantine isn't so bad with music like this. House sitting in CO with a country backyard and hot cup of tea.
I am saved! I am reborn! This man's music MOVES me!! Moves me to rejoice!!!
As far as I'm concerned he should win a Grammy just for this performance! One of my favorites I've ever heard anywhere. There is another video of him performing this song with a variation on the beat and it's equally badass. John Fullblues!! You da man brother! ;)
if this guy does not become big, there is something very wrong with this world.
frank begbie not biebers fault, he wants to be loved like everybody else. moguls call the shots on who gets the attention. bieber quits, they find another one
The world is shit jimmy still

This goes to prove my theory that anyone who plays harmonica is a badass.
I'm just damned impressed.
I'm buying the album when it comes out tomorrow but you should consider releasing a series of live recordings.
Crazy good stuff !!!
Are you fucking kidding me? If music get's any better, well now, I want to hear it.
Ridiculously good.
Fantastic, just fantastic...!
I also have the full-band version on Spotify. It rocks.
I can't remember the last time i got so MUCH out of a new act. This guy really knows how to story tell and boy does he know how to play and sing! 4.25 well spent.

Wow this is good music, does anybody know the lyrics of this song?
The man has skills.
Central Oklahoma is my home, my country. Eastern Oklahoma is a beautiful sight. Northern Oklahoma might as well be Kansas. Never go to Southern Oklahoma at night.

Yeah. How is it I've never heard of him? Things are just happening sooooooo much faster now, I guess.

Sometimes his voice sounds exactly like Leon Russell for a line or two. Then I found out they're from the same place. It's in his blood.
@Russkiwannabe
You're are about as far south in Oklahoma a person can get, excluding Broken Bow
👍🌈💜💥🙏😇
damn this guy has that chris cornell scream
dam...a musician watches this and thinks let me get my game up...bad ass
@digitalgoodtimes444 This guy's alright, but please don't compare anyone with Dylan: he deserves Nobel prizes for literature and peace!
who are the 19 losers that disliked this?
@TheRiversOwn
No need to be rude.... I saw John in the Netherlands and he's great, surely for his age, but come on: compared to Dylan he's still got some things to prove!
Yep, there are many genres or music....and then there is some music that is just to good to be fenced in.
He/She must have hit the "dislike" button by mistake. hehe. Well played as always Mr. Fullbright
im telling you.

Your opinion. And you have a right to it. But you'll have to have it alone.
