A lot of people run and do other exercise in a fasted state otherwise their digestive organs become irritated and achey or they feel it makes them extra tired, but others feel like they need something before. It depends on the person. If you don’t want to water fast before you run, then try a green juice or eat something easily digestible to you 2, 3, or 4 hours before exercise.

Try making matcha lemonades instead of matcha lattes for the ones you're trying to replace!! Instead of milk its water, lemon juice, honey (or whatever sweetner you prefer) and the mactha

It’s so good! I’ve also seen cafes make iced matcha drinks with coconut water or sparkling water in place of milk. Sometimes they add fruit purées or preserves and fresh herbs. I bet a light kombucha, water kefir, or chilled steeped tea could work too

Eat a little bit of smoked salmon before running ... or a tiny form of lean protein (it's called protein preload), like 100 grams of chicken or egg or the smoked salmon. Not so much for running performance but your digestion will not even sense it and you will be doing a massive deal in protecting your metabolism from sugar spikes. It will be a good habit to incorporate in your life now, before you start feeling metabolic changes with age. With this and walking or running.. and THEN having breakfast and going with your day, you will be starting your day the best way possible :3
