  • I tired bleeding the coolant on the 3rd gen Honda Prelude in hopes that it will fix the idle issue. I would say it helped, but there may still be underlying issues.

    Los Angeles! I have a 89 prelude SI and right now I'm stuck on what suspension system I should go with. I seen the ksport air bags they offer and the coil overs. The coilovers are overall cheaper but I find the bags more useful to get over steep hills and other things on the road.

      @@ConnorLee I ended up going with the K sport coil overs. I felt like if I was going to spend the money on bags I would want a kit from airlift for the reliability and quality. Seeing what ksport offered made me think its not enough to keep the whole system lasting.

    Great vid, you're very entertaining, I like watching the journey. I feel a little spoiled with my 90' - B21a1 engine, a little bit cleaner in the vacuum line department, and well, I notice quite a few things that are changed between the two. Curious question, what RPM is your motor at when going say 50mph in 5th gear??? I feel like my transmission is geared very low, I think Honda was trying for more than they should in the gear dept. Anywho, good luck

    Canada here playa...ok, class is in session...gas+air+spark=Go! On any machine except electric lol... if I remember you cleaned carbs, so you know how...it's time to do it all again...after purchase, you get it where you want...now, real tuneup begins...first round of parts got you moving but have taken abuse to do so... park car, get it up in the air... write down each system, ie brakes, suspension, motor etc... hit them one by one... for motor, it starts but not running smooth, so...grounds, carbs, wiring and plugs, hoses, filters, gaskets etc... most you have checked... do it again-easier this time n still as much fun lol... clean grounds n carbs-check floats n valves-all clean...check all wiring for cracks etc, spray soapy water on hoses and exhaust/intake gaskets w car running to check for leaks... distributer contacts, check your catalytic if you have one...let "us" know...one of us will have the answer...but for now...back to basics...remember...it's yours boss, sitting in your driveway...don't stress...keep turning that wrench...one love

    Hello from British Columbia. I just put in a new mishimoto aluminum rad, new genuine Honda thermostat and new coolant in my 01Prelude. Just drove it around until the temperature went up to 200 degrees, stopped the car and felt the lower rad hose and it’s still cold, I don’t get how it wouldn’t have opened the thermostat. I bled the air out of the bleeder screw when I filled it up with coolant. Anyone have any suggestions?

    • @ConnorLee
      @ConnorLee  Před 3 lety

      Hmmm I mean unlikely you got a bunk OEM thermostat, but I suppose it's possible! I wish you all the best of luck! Maybe try a good coolant bleed if there is some air trapped after all the coolant system work you did
