I feel like everything you said was true, but backwards. Daily riders will find that big pack much more utilitarian. The little pack is far less utilitarian and more minimalist, maybe cooler, no doubt. The value of being able to store two full face helmets at the same time in the large pack cannot be overstated.

I bought a new 2019 street glide special and ordered the color matched king tour pak for it with the luggage rack on top. I also bought a solo seat. It's like having two bikes. Put the tour pak on and load it up with luggage and be gone for several days. Put the solo seat on, take off the tour pak and it's like having a sport type bike. I usually keep the tour pak on because I travel alot. Luggage, tent, ect. strapped down. Looking forward to more multi day trips in 2022
I would run w/King tour pack, especially for touring purposes! I wish I had a top box as big as the king tour pack on my 2018 Honda Goldwing Tour. Ride safe and enjoy the ride.

I love a trunk/tour pack on all my bikes. I have a 2016 Kawasaki Versys 1000, a Kymco Spade 150 and this past September picked up a new 2022 Harley Heritage. The Kawasaki and Kymco each have top trunks. The Kawasaki has the Kawasaki branded Givi top box and the Kymco has a universal Givi branded top box. These two boxes are big enough to hold a full face helmet. The Heritage comes with saddle bags but no top box/tour pack. I recently installed a Harley tour pack mounting plate and am most likely going to purchase a King Tour pack from Advanblac which is color matched to my Heritage. Main reason for top box/tour pack is to store my helmet on the bike when out and about. I usually take day trips on the weekend to local attractions/museums and want something to store my helmet out of sight when off the bike. When out on the Kawasaki I store the helmet in the top trunk, my riding jacket in one side bag and my riding pants in the other side bag when I arrive at my destination. I want the same for the Heritage. I also store a few tools and a tire inflator and tire repair kit on the Kawasaki and will do so on the Heritage. (My Heritage has aluminum cast wheels and tubeless tires so I can plug the tire easily if need be. Can’t due that on the spoked rims and tubed tires that are also offered on the Heritage).😢 Trunk/tour pack also great way to store things on the bike like tools, clothes, rain gear, groceries. Love me some storage on my bikes.

I am running a chopped tour pac on my 15 SGS and now going with a king. Retired and planing on trips with my girl. Of course for her things lol

I usually do 5-7 day trips with HD luggage on the luggage rack however I’m needing just a little bit more room! I went with the chopped! We’ll see how that goes! I just can’t do the king … gotta look good! As for the Bad Boyz seat… nailed it! I opted for the Freedom series and absolutely love it!

I personally went with an after market from Amazon thanks to @travelling Tall- no regrets and saved lots of $ to spend it on something else

When I was scrolling this came up on my feed, I clicked on it because I have the same Tour pack, I have an LS2Valiant2 in matte black and my girlfriend has the same white scorpion helmet and I love that I can fit both helmets and even a light jacket in it
I think it’s that old style passenger back rest on the king tour pack that turn people off.

I have both…I run the chopped If I go on a lil 1 night trip with just the fellas…I and run the king whenever my wife is riding…gotta make sure she’s comfortable
First off, that's an awesome color, what do they call it? Anyway, my qualifications for this comment is this; I've ridden through all 50 States, and all of the Provinces in Canada, so I'll be out weeks at a time. "Function over form, or fashion, every time. Not only do you have 4" above the helmets, but you have space inside the helmets too. You can jam things like a shaving kit, extra gloves, etc., in there.
Paint and lines can give the illusion the king is smaller, I like the king.
