om ,kapalabhedanam means cranium crack.once. Once ganapatimuni was sitting in a mango cave and stated writing Indrani sapatasati..at that time he was effected with severe headache which led to cranium crack..his skull was broken.a bright light comming out of his skull and rotated around the roof of the cave. After this incident Ramana Maharshi applied castroil to his head ,and Ramana advised him to wear wooden cheppals all the time.and also suggested yogic diet.after this incident he lived for 14 years which is wonder stuck,and he is the only yogi who got this siddhi.the reference of this siddhi is there in taaittariya upanishad vyopoha Sirisha kapale mantra.in tantra the same mantra explained as Chinnamasta saadhana.this chinnamasta is Renuka,prachandachandi,vajra varahi.
