In this video we look at this beautiful Ford E-Series Class C RV with a whopping 3k miles on it. This killer coach got our 6" Class C RV suspension lift kit with our custom leaf springs in the rear. This rig is absolutely luxurious inside as this coach is hot off the press. The next thing for this motorhome would have to be a set of nice wheels and tires! I have driven this Coach now a total of 4825 miles and want to give my impressions and driving experience.
My initial reason for wanting to lift the Coach was higher ground clearance. The lift kit certainly accomplished this goal. I was doubtful of Jeremy's claims that the lift kit would improve the driving qualities of the Coach. Having driven back from California to Houston, I can attest the Coach has a noticeable improvement in the driving characteristics. The Fox shocks dampen the jarring effects from bumps in the road. The overall ride is much smoother, which I attribute to the massive rear springs. The Coach seems to drive straighter on the road. Driving home I was a little disappointed that the wind seemed to still affect the driving more than I would have liked. When we stopped for fuel I stepped out of the Coach and the wind almost knocked me down. I had no idea the wind I had been driving in was that bad. As the wind calmed down a bit. I find the 18 wheelers don't push the Coach as much when passing me and the Coach is much easier to handle. There is no doubt in my mind driving with the Weld Tec Design lift kit installed makes for a more comfortable and relaxed driving experience.
This is not an inexpensive upgrade for a Class C, but I do not have any regrets about having it installed. Jeremy and his crew at Weld Tec Designs were super to work with and the office staff takes care of all the scheduling details for you.
I give the install a BIG THUMBS UP!!!
thanks for this review because those were some of my questions/concerns. I also have a class c and would love this. mind me asking how much you paid?
@@wannabefulltimers I suggest you call Alyssa in the Weld Tec office. She will give you a complete breakdown based on your individual Coach. She is happy to answer any questions and there is no obligation on your part for getting the quote. It's not cheap but it is well worth it if you plan to keep your Coach for a few years.
Thanks for sharing the driving review, we are considering getting a lift for our Esteem too. How long did the installation take, was it done the same day?
@@wilsoncontreras3174 Typically it will take 3 days for the installation. We spent 2 nights in a hotel while the Lift Kit was being installed.
@@larryharn7475 thanks
Best modification I've made on my 25' Class C! Drives like a dream! I can go anywhere 👍.
YES!!!! love hearing that.... we are so happy to hear that you love your new suspension.
I Think you found a high end Niche here, keep on making these high end rigs even Better with your suspension upgrades. 👏
Yo this made me want a class c again. When I get to retirement I'm going to do this. It makes a class c look rugged. Add a beefy front bumper and it looks badass.
So glad to stumble upon your videos. We own an Entegra Odyssey that is @32’ and are seriously considering getting a 4”-6” lift for ours. We have not gone ‘off roading’ due to how low our jacks are so we will definitely be checking you guys out, especially since we are in So Cal! 👍
Can’t wait to get on your schedule for our 2021 Jayco 29mv next year!!
You're a great presenter! I don't even have a van (buying an 06 E350 soon though) and I'm watching all your videos!
Great job Jeremy and crew.
Wow it look very good hight up off the ground 6” hight !👍🏻
nice as always
I like it. 👍
I like and I need.
Great video Jeremy, what is the drive in drive out cost for such a kit
What is the recommended tire size upgrade for the 6” lift kit?
Can 17 inch wheels be used on the 6in lift? If so, what size tires work on the E 450 chassis? Is there enough clearance in the rear without using spacers?
Where are you located? I seriously need this done
Weld Tec Designs is located in El Cajon, CA.
Good vid,but more about the lift less about trying to sell the coach please..lol
