Back when the Libertines were within touching distance....when the world was their lobster. A shame P.D got hooked on seedy glamour, darkness, and danger. Back in 2004 the world turned blue, most groups split because of drugs, girls, or money/business issues. They certainly had two at play. Glad they are back making a crust, mainly for Carl Barat and the other two. They put the hard yards in then it all dissappeared in a puff of smoke. This seems to be the best Libs show on youtube.

The Libertines > The Strokes
The libertines are one of my favourite bands of all time but I think the strokes are just above them both brilliant tho
@@harrytrent13 no, Strokes are musically better, but lyrically Libertines have this poetic element in their lyrics, that the Strokes lack, and that alone makes Libs a far rarer jewel. I think the Libs are a greater phenomenon than the Strokes, even though Strokes may sound better.
@@hbbhdd7291 yeah the lyrics Carl and pete wrote were brilliant but its a tough one cos the strokes and better musically and better live but both top bands anyway 👍
