  • The only way to break the power of sin on the behavioral level is to break the power of shame on the subconscious level.

    Another good sermon reminding us to Run to Him ~not From Him. I have always been fascinated by Genesis and the megalithic changes that come about with in so few words. Reading that our God the alpha & omega, would care to have asked “ Where are you “ never left my minds ear. That one question is all He really ever wants to know because WE KNOW if your not with HIM your Lost ..... oh how much time we all waste running.
    Bless you and your ministries.

    Thank you Pastor Ty. I love my Lord and Saviour but you’re sermon brought into focus the need to let go of guilt, come to Jesus just as I am and He will lead me in the paths righteousness to make my wrongs right and the feelings of condemnation behind as I walk in the newness of God’s beautiful light.
    Thank you for making it clear.

    Wonderful sermon, brother. :) I'd like to note the following, though, about Eve's answer to the Serpent: she misquotes God, adding the clause 'neither shall ye touch [the fruit]' to the LORD's admonishment to them. According to Gen. 2:17, He never said that. This may sound minor, but it does increase the sense of restrictiveness being imputed to God. Very subtle indeed! God bless you, everyone. Maranatha. :)

      @@LettiesLife Hello! I didn't mean to suggest any certainty on my part that God couldn't have warned them not to touch the fruit. You're right - He very well may have. I only meant to point out that there's no record of it. Since the Bible makes it clear elsewhere that to add anything to God's word, to put words in His mouth, is a dire sin, and omitting things is equally so, then it seems to me more likely that Eve would bear false witness than that Moses would neglect to write a faithful account. No way to be sure! Maybe we can ask them in person when we get there. God bless. :)

    I’ve always wondered why it was bad to know good, I know why it is bad to know evil. Why is it called the tree of good and evil?

    • @martithefrog
      @martithefrog Před 3 lety

      In my opinion, it is because before sin good wasn't really a term may be. Because everything around them was perfect. The word "know" in ancient hebrew means to experience, to become one with. Like when Adam knew Eve, it didnt mean they were just introduced to each other but that they had sex, they got to know each other on a deeper level, they experienced each other in depth, thry became one.
      So the tree of knowing good and evil to me meant that if they eat from it, they will now experience, get to knkw on a deeper level that there is something else than good, they will experience bad (or evil) and in their lives now there will be both which God never wanted for them to know and experience. Thats my understanding :)
