Totally agree she has such a voice and presence. Was going to see them in Bristol but N'dea wasn't with them. Love the band but has to be with N'dea 😍❤️🎶

I’m an older white guy and I can’t tell you how much I loved the Brand New Heavies during N’Dea’s time with the band. I can’t put my finger on exactly what did it for me. What I can say is that if I had a nickel for every time that I played one of their songs I would be rich by now. Why this band didn’t make it stateside blows my mind? I would say that it is my all-time favorite. Of all their great songs, and there are many, every time I hear 'Spend Some Time', I still get a special feeling. There’s just something about the way the piano begins in that song that is magical.
If anybody has other suggestions that either N’Dea has done or another band that is up their alley, please leave a comment. I’ve looked around in the past, but I have never found much beyond a few songs on Acid Jazz.

If you're looking for vibes similar to Brand New Heavies, you should check out a band called "Rebirth." Look for a song called "All this is coming to." Also, you must check out "Incognito." They've been around forever and continue to put out amazing music. Also, Adriana Evans' El Camino album. Cheers!

When I was a kid back in the 90s I was in love with Ndea LOL... I admired her as much as Sharon Bryant from Atlantic Starr/Newban. Now 30 years have passed and I still feel the same admiration.. so pure and soulful. Her music is timeless

She was incredibly gorgeous and lovely! She invited to meet us later infant of the tour bus where we hung out and chilled with her supporting act
I knew her as a background singer as much as part of BNH.

one of my BIGGEST musical heroes!!! When they reuinited for the 2008 album I got to see them live and I am literally at the front of the crowd, singing my heart out and crying practically to every song. Then to meet her and share my gratitude. Just priceless

Thank you sister for granting us this interview with N' Dea Davenport, loved every minute of it. I could listen to this sister all day, love her when she was with The Heavies & her solo album. She is underrated, but maybe that is a good thing; the core fans can enjoy the music. And she doesn't have to change her music to conform to the masses. But sis can you interview Amel Larrieux, Sy Smith, Deborah Bond, Kindred The Family Soul, etc. Also by the way my sister I am subscribing to your CZcams channel, you are a excellent interviewer; you have a very soothing & smooth voice. Love N'dea she has got such a beautiful voice that just fits together with the band and music. Sorry to say the others singers didn't fit. One of my go to songs off the album forward 2013 with the fabulous vocals and music is sunlight. They have done so many great tracks. They have been over to the UK but most the time without N'dea. But would love to see a full concert altogether again in the UK 😍❤️🇬🇧

All due respect ma'am, but that intro was antagonizing 5 + minutes long are u serious?? I hope your newer videos aren't the same. Plz don't do that to your viewers. In any event, thx u for inviting N'dea on your show...she is one of the greatest of our time yet grossly underrated. She did a phenomenal job onTracie Spencer's 90s platinum selling 'Make the Difference' album as well as Madonna's 'I'm Breathless (Dick Tracy soundtrack) which is a wonderfully creative lil gem as well as her chart topping hit 'Vogue'. N'dea Davenport is a force... always have been ✌🏾🙏🏾

i never really knew much about n'dea, but her album was in heavy rotation when i was a teenager. had no idea about the brand new heavies connection. couldn't find her music on spotify so i had to pull out the old CD case lol

Wow…clearly how rumors get started…it’s the lighting that’s also giving a washed out look to that poster in the center. You can see how strong the glare is in her glasses and when her arms are in her lap and in the shadow she still has a “brown skin complexion”….LOL, smh
