Weeks after uploading my pitched audio of the song After Dark, I made this edit. Took me a day and a half to put together but it was so worth it in the end. I'm planning on making more edits in my free time since I just love making these cinematic-like edits. If you have any suggestions on movies to edit, feel free to let me know!!

This movie was on another level. Anton is like the Grim Reaper.
@Hithere what are your sources?
@@joeyspears8389 none, he's bullshitting

One of the best charachter movie history, also I reccomend to people, read the book. its equal quality of movie but its something different experience.
I think Anton in the books was more calm but in the movie he’s more frightening.
Both movie and book is great and love both

The way he checked both of his shoes after leaving the house, and knowing that he didn't want his shoes to get dirty by blood, is bone chilling
That sinking feeling when you realized what had happened was worse then them showing it on screen.
also why he closed the shower curtain in the motel yea
@@sssnnsnnssns just like how he didn't want his shoes get dirty by blood, he closed the shower curtain so the blood will not splash on his body and face.
LOL only if ur a wimp
I think he did it to mute his footsteps
One of my favorite dialogues from the book:
“I know what you’re thinking Carson.”
“What’s that?”
“You think you won’t close your eyes. But you will.”
Damn
What does it mean
@@KetamineCoyote that he will die
@@KetamineCoyote The scenario is when Anton is holding Carson at gun point in his room at the hotel and they get to talking. Anton tells Carson that before he dies, he know that Carson will close his eyes in fear before he is killed.
Line from the book:
“He did close his eyes. He closed his eyes and he turned his head and he raised one hand to fend away what could not be fended away. Chigurh shot him in the face. Everything that Wells had ever known or thought or loved drained slowly down the wall behind him. His mother's face, his First Communion, women he had known. The faces of men as they died on their knees before him. The body of a child dead in a roadside ravine in another country. He lay half headless on the bed with his arms outflung, most of his right hand missing. Chigurh rose and picked up the empty casing off the rug and blew into it and put it in his pocket and looked at his watch. The new day was still a minute away.”
@@RyanCalhan should of known this movie was a book first, its always the masterpiece's that are books first
Javier Bardem is a phenomenal actor!
massively underrated
@@nathangerrard9792 how is this Oscar winning actor who does mainstream and artier low budget stuff underrated
definitivamente
Yes.
@@nathangerrard9792 He is widely considered to be among the great villainous actors of the 21st century. Even the won the Oscar. Not underrated. But you probably mean that most Americans don't know him properly, which is true. He is Spanish after all.
Man is a walking metaphor for chance. You can do everything right in your life but the coin still finds you.
Yeah that's how I interpreted him more than the grim reaper. He seems almost neutral toward everyone, not like he hates them, he's just the arbiter of what was always going to happen. Almost more scary than death.
Unless they're a random pigeon on a bridge
@@ungern_sternb3rg One of the examples that made me think of him as more than just a grim reaper.
The coin is on the nose with the metaphor, but the fact he missed the bird really leans into the possibility he's simply living with chance itself as his creed.
LOL It's like why do anything, right???????
And the end scene is the reminder that Anton isn't above it. The coin will find him eventually just as well.
This movie is a masterpiece.

Damn. As someone who hasn't seen the movie, this was a hell of a journey. Precise editing too, props.
If you haven't seen this movie your missing out , I wish I could watch it for the first time again. Seen it when I was young I remeber the gas station scene with the old farmer was prolly the most intense movie scene I've ever witnessed . The struck lightning in a bottle doing a film adaptation from the book and most importantly casting Javier Bardem as Anton Chigur . Dude knocked that roll out the park , he's actually a skinny dude but for the roll he bulked up drinking a bunch of beer and eating
Go watch the movie loser
then just watch goddamnit
Where I can find it in free ofc 🗿 cuz i can't find it anywhere
@@rzyts. losmovies
The idea of a character being the personification of the grim reaper himself is so scary to me. The fact everytime a person meets him they've already met their fate, they'll just have to accept it, is so damn evil.

3:17 God-tier facial expression, it's the first time someone doesn't play by Anton's rules, ensuring he has to acknowledge that the coin doesn't decide, he does.
I love how he's just frozen for a couple seconds
No it’s not exactly him that decides it’s chance he just makes it happen.

This movie has a style that i like very much. I'll explain it as best as i can. It has this dark, dull and quiet look to it. It looks all satisfying to see all at once. Its a calm but impactful. Quiet but realistic. Cheesy but respectful Its masterpiece of a movie for sure
Dark, dull and quiet... Just like Chigurh
Film noir
I would recommend you watching Fargo, It's a really good show, also by the Coen brothers
I like how the movie gave anton an ego check at the end of the movie when he got hit a car, i think we forget that hes not invincible

This is a fantastic edit, really captures the character so well. I often come back to watch this.
Still to this day, Nobody expected the ending of this movie. Absolute masterpiece of a movie.
I finally understand it now! You can definitely see sadness and coldness in Anton's eyes which means at a point in life, he suffered from trauma and came to a Nihilistic realization that 'nothing really matters'. You may fall in love with the most innocent looking face in the world but you may never know when that innocent face will betray you in the most heart-wrenching way possible! This cold reality made him think that since, we can't tell who is a 'wolf in a sheep's clothing', the best way to decide whether someone deserves to live is through flipping a coin. I finally understood this movie now😭
Yes, Chigurh represents nihilism and ruthlessness, the two other main characters try to combat him.
However, Anton end up losing at the end (when he gets into a car crash, nullifying his belief that if he lives ruthlessly and follows his own morals he would become invincible).
The true message is at the end of the story, in the Sheriff's dream.
It is clear that he suffered and that he has feelings, but I think that he accepted the human condition and removed any nihilistic horizon, so I think that he embodied the foundation of nature which is to overcome evolve or die, I think that he was stabbed by a angel and the only way for him to stay alive is to keep moving forward without looking back.
I like how Anton close the covers to prevent getting blood on his face just like how Patrick Bateman puts on a raincoat to prevent getting blood on his suit
Every second of this video is a masterpiece, the most underrated movie I've ever known.

this movie from what I've seen in these edits the movie has the most accurate representation for a true maniac a maniac doesn't laugh like a madman out in public or randomly go on killing sprees instead they are calm and collected knowing exactly how to do the next thing and where it will be done
feedback nobody asked for: mannnn if you muted the movie and never dulled the song, it could be such a vibe, just sitting with the corded phone, drinking milk, sitting by fresh bodies just chilling for a moment. love the song deeply and the movie is a great one but i'd never imagine them together- what a strangely awesome combination you pulled off.
