I just rewatched No Country for Old Men last night and boy has it aged well. The movie is timeless.
Same!
It’s free on CZcams right now and I just watched it again… I agree with your assessment
Well yeah, that's like your opinion man!
@@CryostalI'm the dude so that's what you call me
@@Cryostal You're a bit deaf, aren't you? It's not his opinion, that's the way it is.
To this day, Javier’s role in No Country is one of the best acting performance’s I’ve ever witnessed. Absolutely out of this world. Right up there next to Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood
Spot on! Majestic acting and storytelling.
Thank you for this.
We are all still waiting for a year of cinema as good as the year those two films were released.
You haven't seen many movies, have you?
Interestingly, both of those movies were being filmed in the same place at the same time.
That scene in the gas station where he flips a coin to see whether the old man lives or dies has to be one of the scariest in history. Great actor.
You gotta give credit to guy who played the clerk as well. He really nailed it too.
Yes I agree I was so scared for the old man
Agreed great acting.@@TheAgentAssassin
i didn't go see the movie for the reason of his hair scared the shit out of me in 2007 2018 i watched the movie best movie ever.. sho now i understand asking for a sweeg to get the vin tag off man truck lol woodt h is the man
The candy wrapper crawling like a bug.
The hair was perfect for the character
Fr
I liked the hair!
@@rosaesquibel477Me too haha
thats how you can tell he really is insane
imagine if anton chigurr got the low taper fade
The greatest travesty is Conan not being a host on late night anymore. He truly is one of kind and deserves a prime spot.
Nah, he's way better where he is now.
He's too good for Late Night. You seen the hacks on that slot? Fallon, Kimmel, Corden & my personal worst John Oliver. All of them are garbage who don't do comedy, the do politics & their failing viewership is proof of this.
He is not woke enough for the executives these days. You are so right.
His podcast is wonderful.
Late night has changed. You're not allowed to get laughs for jokes anymore, only applause for political takes popular with inner city folk.
You can really tell that Javier really likes hanging with Conan, even though it’s just a TV interview.
He said in the podcast that the one thing he'd always demand is to come on Conan's show when he was promoting his films.
@@davidhurtado2725 exactly! I listened to that too. It’s just cool how you can see it from the very start.
He seems like a very cool and likable guy. Great sense of humor. Him being a Conan fan reveals that alone.
Javier likes everybody though
You can tell he genuinely likes Conan
He is a true Conehead.
Thank God 🙏🏻😳
@@spirgluckily he didn’t call Conan a friendo 😂
He might be acting. Tbh he should’ve flipped a coin there if he wants to be friends with Conan
What a contrast of personalities. Javier Bardem is so convincing in no country for old men. Great actor
Javier Bardem = sweet, and friendly
Anton Chigurh = the exact opposite 😂
Bardem was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed in No Country..
it was masterful.
I'm amused that it sounds like Javier is referring several times to "Booty Allen" 😂
Would that be a weird p*rn parody?
He did say that! 😂
Ok, I thought it was me! 😂
No Country for Old Men has to be one of my top 5 movies of all time. Javier was the perfect choice for that part in every way.
He didn't say much, in the movie ' No Country For Old Men', but we all knew his intentions. Javier Bardem's performance was Oscar worthy for sure. The entire cast was top shelf acting.
One of the best movies ever made. Javier nailed it.
Oh yes. I have never been so terrified.
No
@captainscentsible3938I stay there a lot and it’s the only room number that looks different from the rest.
If Scarface gets a reboot, Javier needs to play Tony.
Javier has such irregular and exaggerated facial features....the result is an incredibly unique and devastatingly handsome man. And no slouch at acting, too.
He needed reconstruction surgery after being attacked when he was young, hence the nose.
@@Xiroi87 thanks.
It's crazy that he has an accent and is able to do a perfect impression of an American speaking in the movie.
I thought that and then I thought hang on, this is only like any native English speaking actor doing a foreign accent in English.
they dubbed his voice
@fredrezfield1629 really?
@@fredrezfield1629spreading lies is crazy
@@ablib Well there's not a lot of need to since the rest of the world watches English speaking media.
This dude just oozes charisma, my god.
Javier, too.

Javier is an awesome actor and so compelling to watch.
It’s so interesting to watch this interview because he has such a fun and upbeat personality that is a stark contrast from his character in “No Country for Old Men”. He’s a great actor for pulling off the tough guy and killer in the movie.
It is crazy to see him smile and Laff and genuinely be happy!!,that's what a superb actor does, they make you believe their character so much,I'll tell you what,I would be terrified if he was after me,he would have had his 💰!!!
what a great interview. bardem's just class
His acting was so good he was the only villain that I found revolting. I only saw the movie once because of how evil he made that character.
Exactly. His performance is literally frightening
Anton chigur was on a mission to retrieve that money to show he was a professional hit man to his superior
Captain Vidal of Pans Labyrinth would give Chigur a run for the money.
Well Ill tell you I stopped everything several when it came on television.
I don't like the villains; it's about the movie
Then you will like him as a villain in James Bond " Snow Fall "
Raul Julia (R.I.P.) was incredible in Addams Family as Gomez. Honestly, I think this guy would make a great Gomez Addams.
Who would be Morticia?
@@Brogrl Maybe Angelina Jolie would be a good choice. Older and thin enough. Plus already odd in RL. 🤔😆
Maybe Charlize Theron? She already voiced Morticia in the animated Addams Family.
Christina Ricci possibly? That would certainly be an interesting choice for obvious reasons.
Eva Green (from Dark Shadows & more) is one I think could pull it off as well.
Good idea!
Javier is truly one smooth s.o.b
He's Spanish.
He killed that role. 👍
And many others as well
@@Akshit.vats. can you recommend one? Preferably action/crime. I haven't seen him in others that I recall. Thanks.
@@iamnegan1515 i think he tried to make a joke. That he killed a lot of people in the role
Loved Conan's jokes in this, Late Night with him was such a good time
Iconic hairs in one frame 😁
They’ve got good chemistry.
This was an underrated comedy interview. Very funny.
"I had a phone call and it was Booty Allenz"... I was dyin'!!😅
Same 🤣🤣
hehe in Spain- W is kind of pronounced as B. In the old days John Wayne was pronounced "Chon Bay-ne)
@@mrn13not really. The actual way John Wayne's name was pronounced in Spain was "Hon Bye-Neh"
@@JamieZarrrSome Spaniards probably have a better stab and pronouncing John the English way, when they are talking to a native English speaker at least.
@@TheNelster72 what I said doesn't apply to these days, but to my elders.
I want a haircut that is both yesterday and tomorrow. Short in the long places, long and the short places. Something a child would do to a doll
Sounds like a Chelsea. Shaved head but long in the front. I had that in high school. I’d say bring it back but it was never a thing. That’s what I liked about it.
@@onecall975 it's a line from the TV show Family guy. They were doing a parody of No Country for Old Men
"Only a sociopathic killer would wear his hair like that." 1:53 Wait a minute! That was my exact hairstyle throughout high school in the early 70's! Wish I could show you my senior picture.
It was trendy in the 70s
Did you have a bolt gun and a tank you carried around?
The character of the psycho killer is truly impressive, his acting is superb, scary big time
Doing a Cold hearted character and in real being humble n jovial makes him more lovable
One of the greatest acting performances of all time ,Javier is a cult legend.
I was looking for this video because of the podcast, but couldn't find it, thanks.
Oh when was this mentioned on the podcast?
@@nenxioi He was on as a guest recently.
That haircut is just very '70's. Pretty much what meathead wore on All in the Family.
Oh my I would never expect that this guy is so cool.
Just rewatched last night. Man, that movie is incredible. TIMELESS.
Same here. Amazing movie.
That whole story was terrifying. And Javier Bardem was incredible, even amongst an outstanding cast!
When I left school I worked for a guy who had the same haircut as Javier's character. He to was a maniac and liked to scare people...Wanted to be regarded as a hard man. Absolute head case!
Such an legendary movie with great actors. Fantastic movie.
I love no country for old men, and Javier's performance was outstanding. He was also an awesome villain in Skyfall. Even as the "bad" guy, you can't hate him. He is awesome. Not to mention landing Penelope Cruz. 😉
He's excellent in every role he's done.
What a great actor.
JB is actually really funny and a likable guy. It makes his turn as Chigur in NCFOM that much more impressive.
An unforgettable haircut in an unforgettable movie-one of my all-time favorites. Bardem played Chigur brilliantly. The whole cast played their roles brilliantly.
James Bond’s villain - Silva- excellent work! Skyfall
Peter, the Barber, "Okay, what will it be?"
Javier, "Everything."
Peter, "What do you mean?"
Javier, " Long in the short places. Short in the long places. It should be from both the future and the past. Something a child would do to a doll." Family Guy 🤣 🥃💨🤘
LOL Whatever you're quoting, I'm sorry I missed it! 😂
@littledebby365, Look up Family Guy Javier Bardem haircut. 🤣👍
PLEASE BRING CONAN BACK
Never been so terrified over a coin flip.
You can tell a lot of actors fake being likeable and nice. Javier just seems so genuine and normal.
I have never been so scared when l saw Javier in the no country for old men. He was the best.... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Javier is very convincing in his acting. Hope to see more movies of him in the near future.
“No Country for Old Men” God daaamnnn this movie is superb!! It’s unique!
Booty allen😂
Woody?
lol
it's crazy how spanish speaking people can't pronounce W / V
Javier Bardem is just impossibly cool
I absolutely love watching him as a actor, he is brilliant. And such a nice guy.😊
He is such a handsome man in real life...
I'm so happy to see this is an actual person. Now that character can cease haunting my dreams.
Woody Harrelson set up the mystery of his character extremely well. What a great movie.
Sweet! A Conan clip that I haven't seen yet!
Javier Bardem is one of the greatest actors of all time!
I have watched this film about ten times ,,,his role is absolutely class his acting is superb .
We need a part 2!
so much soul when he says "thats what mothers are for" ... aah. such new world charm!
Wow! For the first time ever, today, November 2nd, 2023, I realized just how striking the resemblance is between Conan and Beavis. How could I have missed that?
Conan , was afraid the entire show that he would say , call it! 😂
It's odd to imagine the jovial and kind Javier as Anton Chigurh. He was absolutely terrifying in the role, death itself. Speaks to Javier's acting abilities.
He's such a cool guy and and brilliant actor 👏
Javier is one the best of all time.
One of the best conversations,on late night TV
In my oppinion, the Coen Brothers and Tarrentino are the most talented of all Hollywood producers/directors. Also the people who find the casts for these movies deserve Oscars.
awesome movie, it really showed how much you can do without dialogue using visual storytelling.
he has a presence
Anton chigurgh played javier bardem in conan is really spot on
Smiled throughout this interview!
I'm confused why people would get scared of seeing him around in that hair, since during that time he was there filming the movie, and nobody has seen the character yet.
Why do you think that haircut was chosen for the psycho killer character?
@@Django0324 I certainly adds something to the character, but if you don't know he's a killer, it just looks odd. Certainly not scary on its own.
That's a good point but then again the style does resemble someone who never evolved beyond a 1970s phys ed teacher.
My God, what a departure from the Anton character!
Great interview
Even in the book, Anton Shagur reads differently. You can tell that he’s different from the other characters in the written word. Javier Bardem really crushed it by bringing him to life. It’s wild how amazing he was in that movie.
No country for old men 2 is a must have
Great interview!
I just finished watching it again on CZcams. Scary! One of the best movies out there.
Thank you for this.
So much charisma and such a great actor -- and the lucky dog has Penelope Cruz for a wife. What must he have done so right in a previous life 😅. He was enjoying Conan.
And unlucky for johnny depp since jack gets hunted by her husband.
'Booty Allen'
Botty for friends😂
Fun fact: Several psychologists after reviewing many movies with killers, Javier's character was said to be the closest and realist example of a psychopathic killer
As if we couldn't have figured that out all on our own.
This guy is just awesome man just seem so wholesome love him as an actor and he seems like it's wholesome good guy as a normal human being.
It is totally not "wholesome" (if the most stupid word in social media has any meaning at all, it is supposedly a positive one) to not use any punctuation in one's comments, and asking the reader to decipher where one sentence ends and the next begins.
Thanks for the video.
No Country for Old Men is the best movie ive watched
A favorite piece of trivia (IMDb) about "No Country For Old Men:
When he first saw his new haircut, Javier Bardem said, "Oh no, now I won't get laid for the next two months."
I wouldnt care if he was bald!
Conan's helicopter impression was surprisingly awesome.
Fell in love with your character.
I love this man.... tremendous actor
Literally had his hair when this movie came out and i was like OMG THATS MY HAIRCUT! haha
Would've been cool to show a pic of conan with the same hairstyle of Javier's in the movie.
Bardem pretty cool
I've always loved Conan's hair 🥰
Stone COLD character, start to finish! Well done!
My dad had this exact haircut in the 70s.
Denzel in Training Day and Javier in No Country. 2 of the scariest dudes ever.
