- इंफोर्समेंट डायरेक्टोरेट (ईडी) ने दो दिन की लंबी पूछताछ के बाद वर्ष 2000 बैच के आईएएस (IAS) पूजा सिंघल को अरेस्ट कर लिया है. वह झारखंड में खान सचिव के पद पर हैं. इस मामले में यह दूसरी गिरफ्तारी है. इससे पहले ईडी ने सुमन कुमार को गिरफ्तार किया था.

Pooja Singhal, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case on Wednesday. She was questioned for several hours before the arrest.

Irony is, most police men who are escorting Pooja Singhal to Police car from Building are themselves corrupt to a level that is beyond Poojas corruption, I live in Bokaro and personally I know few who own assets and liabilities from different names worth more than 50 crore 😂

There is a very much need of major reforms into bureaucracy to bring down corruption. So much power given to this lobby further encourage them do huge corruptions even when their designed projects or policies success rate is below 60%. These fellas do abuse their power to fill their pockets deeply. Huge reforms must be done including major reduction in their powers as designing future plans with very less success rate doesn't require this much power.

When there is allegations of corruption even against ex- Prime Minister and a lot of Ministers, how one will expect IAS officers would be honest ? It started from Politicians and came down to bureacrats very fast and now prevalent everywhere.
There is a thin line and big difference between an I.A.S and other politicians. A politician can lose his power after 5yrs but officers cant be fired from administration.
