You know how some people say the story behind this song is how the girl with braids, the petite girl and the girl with the yellow cardigan, is her? I believe that theory and I have something to add to it. On the final one, "Your pitiful expression is just too much for me", I think that since the song is called 'My R' which stands for 'my reasons', seemingly pointing to reasons to not commit su*cide, I think that everything had become too much and reached a point where she couldn't come up with any reason not to k*ll herself. That's why she said how she could understand and relate too much to the girl with the cardigans problems and troubles. Everything was crashing down on her all at once and she couldn't take it, therefore, she k*lled herself. No body was really there for her, to grab her when she jumped like in the animatics, because her reason ran out, and she had no reason to be there anymore. She wanted to eat because she was becoming malnourished, so she reminded herself that her family loves her. She had gotten her heart broken one too many times, but she had never been robbed of anything so pushed it all to the side. Her reason were never good enough to stop her in the first place, but still she held on for some reason. In the end, it all amounted up to something that she couldn't stop... Somehow, you go through all of it, and you don't do the same. That just proves how much stronger you are right now than they will ever be. Try finding a support system to help shut them out. Even if your support system is entirely fictional characters or people online, if that helps you then it's working. You couldn't fathom how many people are willing to help you. Or at least I'm one. Please reach out to me whenever, and if you know, I want names and addresses. Stay strong. 6: Another parent/parents that made a mistake having you, cause obviously, they can't take care of a supreme human being properly. I don't know how the worst things can make the greatest people. If there's a way you can get out of there, and get help, do it. If CPS won't help, you can try to raise money to get out of that hellscape. Getting them in court with evidence can help too, but you should have someone who is prepared to take you in after. The foster care system can be messed up. Try to talk to someone, if they can't get you out, they can help you work through what's happening. If the abuse is verbal, try to shut them out. It will be hard, but you can get it done eventually. I know you can. If it's physical or sexual, try talking to a professional. Trauma is something that you should try to speak up about. You deserve help. If you can't reach one, try calling or texting a crisis hotline. (I'll put it at the bottom of this) You don't deserve your treatment at all. If they tell you otherwise, they are wrong and not a good parent. Please let people in to help you get out of your situation. 7: Having a brain sucks. The thoughts, insecurities, all of it, are serious issues. Talk to at least one person to try to get help. If you can't do that, keep on winning those silent battles. I'll gladly ride in right beside you. Whatever you are telling yourself, isn't true. I'm not good enough, I don't deserve this or that, everyone hates me, I'm useless, etc. I'm done with it. We do everything rationally, which means no dumb lies, that includes belittling yourself. As Tohru Honda said, "Maybe the reason you don't see it is that it's stuck to your back. What I mean is, a person's admiral qualities - they're just like, say, a pickled plum on a rice ball. ... You don't know it but you have a great big plum on your back." You can't see everything perfect about you. You somehow are so oblivious you can't see how important you are. Your homework is to gain hypervigilance, you obviously need to see the great person you are. Don't forget to take care of yourself and sharing your issues. Extra credit, try kicking or punching your anxieties away, it's a method that doesn't work for everyone, but what's the harm in trying. 8: You deserve to live. Don't even argue with me, we can't waste that much time. I really don't want to spend an hour listing everything that makes you a wonderful person. If you want to die to get rid of pain, it doesn't float into the air and go away forever. if get transferred to the people who love you. Don't say there's no one, cause there are way too many. Hell, I care that you make it out alive of this hard part of your life. Don't ever forget that. Don't kill yourself because in 10 years you are going to sit down and remember this time. You are going to think "If I followed through, I'd be missing out on so much". Live for something. Live out of spite, live to piss off conservatives, live to pet cats, live to be who you want, live to see new things, live to remember good times in your past, live to shove your victories in someone's face. I did a good job today, I'll have a piece of candy. If it's stress-relieving, try to find a different coping mechanism. Get something you can destroy. Get a cheap cutting board, take a knife, and slice it whenever you are stressed. Put something that leaks liquid if you like seeing blood. If you want to feel something different, grab a bucket. Do the ice bucket challenge. Feel cold not pain. Blow a hairdryer in your face. Eat something spicy or sour. Find a new way to feel something. I can actually relate to this song. About a year ago I almost jumped off a roof because of my school bullies, parents, and my own insecurities. I was depressed because of the abuse I was receiving from different people, I just wanted to end it all. As I was about to jump off the roof I heard a voice say: " wait ". I turned around tried again four times but I just couldn't do it. So I contacted the S00icide hotline and was on medication for about three months. I isolated myself from my friends and family, not telling them what was happening. One day my friends sent me this video in our group chat, I listened to the song and realized that ending myself doesn't stop the pain. It affects other people as well. I am doing better now and I'm glad that I didn't jump. If your reading this part of the comment, I just want to say that you are loved and totally worth it. You are amazing and nobody can tell you otherwise.

Sometimes we need to accept that not everyone will be in your life forever. It’s hard but it will make you feel better once you notice that, that one person who has kept hurting you can no longer do so. Friends and love is a complicated matter. Soon you will notice who is actually reliable and who isn’t. Friends can turn out to be someone they aren’t. Lovers can turn out to be a mistake. You just need to remember to learn from that. Love can be amazing and you want it. The thing is you don’’t need it. You earn someone’s love you don’t just suddenly have someone’s heart. The thing you do need is self love. The saying “self love is the best love” is honest in my opinion. If you don’t love yourself it is hard to generally love others. It will never matter who you love or who they are. You know how some people say the story behind this song is how the girl with braids, the petite girl and the girl with the yellow cardigan, is her? I believe that theory and I have something to add to it. On the final one, "Your pitiful expression is just too much for me", I think that since the song is called 'My R' which stands for 'my reasons', seemingly pointing to reasons to not commit su*cide, I think that everything had become too much and reached a point where she couldn't come up with any reason not to k*ll herself. That's why she said how she could understand and relate too much to the girl with the cardigans problems and troubles. Everything was crashing down on her all at once and she couldn't take it, therefore, she k*lled herself.
No body was really there for her, to grab her when she jumped like in the animatics, because her reason ran out, and she had no reason to be there anymore.
She wanted to eat because she was becoming malnourished, so she reminded herself that her family loves her.
She had gotten her heart broken one too many times, but she had never been robbed of anything so pushed it all to the side.
Her reason were never good enough to stop her in the first place, but still she held on for some reason.
In the end, it all amounted up to something that she couldn't stop...

4: That's pretty understandable. I just need you to know a few things. You are loved. You are valid. You are beautiful. You don't need to fit into any expectations or boxes set up for you. You don't deserve pain. You don't deserve to die. If no one else will be there for you, I will. I am always open. I care about you. If anyone gives you a problem, I'm expelling them or finding a way to get them fired. Don't compare your problems to others to belittle yourself. Please don't do anything stupid to hurt yourself or take too much pressure to help others. If you can't take care of yourself, I will.
5: Tell them to kick rocks. You don't have to say it to them, but know that they don't matter. You can always find someone to help you. I will help you. I know it will be hard to lock them out or ignore them, but it can help. Maybe try writing their name down on a piece of paper and destroying it. Or let the paper fly in the wind, cause in the end they are useless and forgettable. They are bullying you because they can't deal with the voices in their head. They need to shut them out by hurting others which is not a good coping mechanism. Somehow, you go through all of it, and you don't do the same. That just proves how much stronger you are right now than they will ever be. Try finding a support system to help shut them out. Even if your support system is entirely fictional characters or people online, if that helps you then it's working. You couldn't fathom how many people are willing to help you. Or at least I'm one. Please reach out to me whenever, and if you know, I want names and addresses. Stay strong.
6: Another parent/parents that made a mistake having you, cause obviously, they can't take care of a supreme human being properly. I don't know how the worst things can make the greatest people. If there's a way you can get out of there, and get help, do it. If CPS won't help, you can try to raise money to get out of that hellscape. Getting them in court with evidence can help too, but you should have someone who is prepared to take you in after. The foster care system can be messed up. Try to talk to someone, if they can't get you out, they can help you work through what's happening. If the abuse is verbal, try to shut them out. It will be hard, but you can get it done eventually. I know you can. If it's physical or sexual, try talking to a professional. Trauma is something that you should try to speak up about. You deserve help. If you can't reach one, try calling or texting a crisis hotline. (I'll put it at the bottom of this) You don't deserve your treatment at all. If they tell you otherwise, they are wrong and not a good parent. Please let people in to help you get out of your situation.
7: Having a brain sucks. The thoughts, insecurities, all of it, are serious issues. Talk to at least one person to try to get help. If you can't do that, keep on winning those silent battles. I'll gladly ride in right beside you. Whatever you are telling yourself, isn't true. I'm not good enough, I don't deserve this or that, everyone hates me, I'm useless, etc. I'm done with it. We do everything rationally, which means no dumb lies, that includes belittling yourself. As Tohru Honda said, "Maybe the reason you don't see it is that it's stuck to your back. What I mean is, a person's admiral qualities - they're just like, say, a pickled plum on a rice ball. ... You don't know it but you have a great big plum on your back." You can't see everything perfect about you. You somehow are so oblivious you can't see how important you are. Your homework is to gain hypervigilance, you obviously need to see the great person you are. Don't forget to take care of yourself and sharing your issues. Extra credit, try kicking or punching your anxieties away, it's a method that doesn't work for everyone, but what's the harm in trying.
8: You deserve to live. Don't even argue with me, we can't waste that much time. I really don't want to spend an hour listing everything that makes you a wonderful person. If you want to die to get rid of pain, it doesn't float into the air and go away forever. if get transferred to the people who love you. Don't say there's no one, cause there are way too many. Hell, I care that you make it out alive of this hard part of your life. Don't ever forget that. Don't kill yourself because in 10 years you are going to sit down and remember this time. You are going to think "If I followed through, I'd be missing out on so much". Live for something. Live out of spite, live to piss off conservatives, live to pet cats, live to be who you want, live to see new things, live to remember good times in your past, live to shove your victories in someone's face. Just don't give up on me, don't give up on someone who cares. (Call the suicide prevention hotline, it'll be at the bottom of this)
9: Don't hurt yourself. You don't deserve it. I know self-harm can be addicting, but try to stop. Get some help, and people to support you. If you do it as a punishment, find a different system. Get your favorite food or candy, if you feel like you need to be punished, look at it, and think this was the reason you are not eating it right now. Or try positive reinforcement. I did a good job today, I'll have a piece of candy. If it's stress-relieving, try to find a different coping mechanism. Get something you can destroy. Get a cheap cutting board, take a knife, and slice it whenever you are stressed. Put something that leaks liquid if you like seeing blood. If you want to feel something different, grab a bucket. Do the ice bucket challenge. Feel cold not pain. Blow a hairdryer in your face. Eat something spicy or sour. Find a new way to feel something. (I know there are other reasons for self-harm but I don't have time to type it right now, I know there are other methods than cutting as well, I just don't have time right now, hotlines will be posted at the bottom of this) Just whatever you do, don't hurt yourself.

I can actually relate to this song. About a year ago I almost jumped off a roof because of my school bullies, parents, and my own insecurities. I was depressed because of the abuse I was receiving from different people, I just wanted to end it all.
As I was about to jump off the roof I heard a voice say: " wait ". I turned around tried again four times but I just couldn't do it. So I contacted the S00icide hotline and was on medication for about three months.
I isolated myself from my friends and family, not telling them what was happening. One day my friends sent me this video in our group chat, I listened to the song and realized that ending myself doesn't stop the pain. It affects other people as well. I am doing better now and I'm glad that I didn't jump.
If your reading this part of the comment, I just want to say that you are loved and totally worth it. You are amazing and nobody can tell you otherwise.

Sometimes we need to accept that not everyone will be in your life forever. It’s hard but it will make you feel better once you notice that, that one person who has kept hurting you can no longer do so. Friends and love is a complicated matter. Soon you will notice who is actually reliable and who isn’t. Friends can turn out to be someone they aren’t. Lovers can turn out to be a mistake. You just need to remember to learn from that. Love can be amazing and you want it. The thing is you don’’t need it. You earn someone’s love you don’t just suddenly have someone’s heart. The thing you do need is self love. The saying “self love is the best love” is honest in my opinion. If you don’t love yourself it is hard to generally love others. It will never matter who you love or who they are. When in love you can have many feeling maybe happiness, sadness etc. Love can sometimes be so bad to make you feel miserable. The best thing to do is if that person truly makes you feel that way then try to get over them. It takes time but is truly possible. I would say I will never be mad or upset at the people who have truly angered me and upset me. I learn from that and teach myself. uwu

there's a lot of voices in her head telling her to jump every day telling her she isn't worth anything, but she stops herself and go's back
but she realises, she cant stop these voices so she end up stopping them her self by jumping, i say this because at the end she says,

Another update, although no one cares. I am still depressed. But now I know what’s wrong with me. I had undiagnosed ptsd, add, and bpd. Along with my undiagnosed depression and anxiety. I am doing bad, but I know I will get better. I won’t give up and I never will. I am so much more than I was back then, and I mean something to so many people.
